After seeing God Of War Ragnarok all the plot, the bosses, the plot, the enemies to the music, the story and even the scale and seriousness of the battles everything in Assassin's Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarök feels so, so small, so empty, so little epic... Compared to God of War. I'm honestly glad that this game came out much earlier, because it would have been completely overshadowed in every way, and today after playing both games to the end I can say it without hesitation, this game is NOTHING compared to God Of War Ragnarok and The worst thing is that this Assassin's Creed is not a bad game, in fact it is very good but simply God of War is on another level.
At least this Surtr looks like a FIRE giant instead of Incubus from Suicide Squad 2016... seriously, look them up to compare, haha. From the videos posted of the endgame for GoW Ragnarok, Surtr looks nothing like the promo images, and it turns out his name is literally Ragnarok...
So...Yeah, I'll address the elephant in the room. The final battle with Surtr and the ending is very abrupt. I like the concept of Odin accidentally initiating Ragnarok, but the execution for the Surtr battle was pretty lame...With that said, the rest of the DLC is amazing. I'm sorry, but I loved it! Not as good as Curse of the Pharaohs, but still pretty damn good. The Hugr-Rip powers were fun to use and the entire world of Svartalfheim was beautifully crafted! Not to mention I like that we learn more about Odin. In the main game he seems like a very selfish God who just wants to survive Ragnarok by any means, but this DLC shows how desperate he is and how he's trying to save himself AND his loved ones. Also, before someone says I'm wrong and this DLC sucks...You're wrong. Why? Because this is MY opinion. If you didn't like the DLC then fine, but I enjoyed it! As for the whole, "It's not AC!" thing. Technically it is. We're seeing Norse Mythology because of Eivor, but in actuality all of this was Isu which has been apart of AC since the very beginning. I think it fits given the context to everything.

Of course there is natural progression to any franchise with the longevity of this one but… the story elements going from mystical to full on magical, to the combat mechanics going from a bit of execution and stealth to how good your build is and never truly needing stealth and of course the plot has become pretty far removed from the early games as well. Does it make them bad? Not really? It’s up to you anyways. But it definitely has changed enough to validate the memes lol

Atleast assassins creed has explored almost every realm already. Gow 4 only has 3 available to visit. It makes no sense each realm is empty I can understand the realm of the giants. But the rest were boring filled with rpgs and mazes.
