Wizardmon being a Witchelny native makes me wonder about its placement in the de facto Beelzebumon line. Especially since Witchelny also has its own version of Dukemon and every member of the Seven Great Demon Lords is said to exist throughout the multiverse.
Assuming the Seven Great Demon Lords do exist in Witchelny, maybe they are quite literal demons. And perhaps that world's version of say Beelzebumon is a more powerful witch or wizard who perhaps becomes possessed by one of said demons, possibly in search of some dangerous and/or forbidden knowledge.
Apparently the Seven Great Demon Lords' realm, Cocytus, is a completely seperate realm from the 3 Digital Worlds, connected to them by their respective Dark Areas.
I've always liked the connection of wizardmon to witchenly and have always wondered what could of happened if we saw a bridged gap open in a direct advenure media
I always appreciate these looks into the more obscure corners and facts about the Digital World which you never hear about in standard Digimon media. Especially a place like Witchelny which I just generally find interesting and wonder about how it ties into stuff like Wizardmon's appearance in Adventure saying he (I believe) wandered from a far-off place, or I even often find myself thinking about Digimon like Witchmon and MedievalGallantmon. Bonus points for Wizardmon being part of my favorite line (the Impmon line), sometimes that gets me wondering what kind of potential lore there is for Demon Lords in these weird little corners of the Digimon universe, like with Wizardmon being able to ultimately become Beelzemon which Bandai has been pushing a lot as Impmon's Digivolution line or even at a stretch Witchmon Digivolving to Lilithmon. There's so much untapped lore here it's a shame we usually get just Royal Knights and Demon Lords without allusions or lore to their previous forms like Wizardmon or Gallantmon formerly being Megidramon from the Four Great Dragons. Stuff like this and the Olympos XII is always nice to see.
You know I think it would be cool if they brought the original vpets back, or at least made a DIM card set for the witches, I just think it would be pretty awesome
Since you mentioned the elemental powers of Digimon, I would love if maybe on a later date we could get a video about the connection between armor evolution and the Ten Legendary Warriors being the reason why armor evolution became obsolete and later was forgotten by modern Digimon, until the revival of the Veemon, Hawkmon, Armadimon and Wormmon species.
@@Bezaliel13 Well, the theory goes that in the ancient Digital World, it was nearly impossible for normal Digimon to reach higher levels of evolution, and so they created the Digimentals as a new method of evolution, while at the same time imbuing them with the elemental powers that only the Ten Legendary Warriors had at the time. However, when the Ten lost their battle against Lucemon and perished, their elemental powers were given to all of the other Digimons, and as such new, more powerful evolutions were unlocked, and with that the need for the Digimental's power became obsolete.
@@divineknight7528 Even without Frontier having Armors long after the death of the Ten, that raises quite a few questions, like how do the elements relate the Armors, what about Ornismon and other ancient Lv6s, what of the established lore behind Lv6, why would the Ten have been the source for so much power,,Don't two of the Digimentals relate to two of the Ten, etc.? Note: After the defeat of Analogman's Mugendramon, Jijimon dispersed its data, allowing its undying spirit to destroy the ceiling on digivolution for its return in the time travel plot of the Wonderswan games. p.s. Obvoiously, Karn can give a better explanation than me.
@@Bezaliel13 That connection was made, mainly because of the information in the official databook. We know that most modern Digimon can't use the Digimental. We know that the Digimentals were made in ancient times. We know that during that period the only drastic change that the entire race of Digimon suffered was that they gained the ability to control the elements, through the death of the Legendary Ten group. So was concluded that it was this ability passing that separated the need for the Digimentals, and with the passing of time and natural selection modern Digimon completely lost the ability to utilize the power of the Digimentals.
My headcanon as to why something like an impmon or a candlemon can access wizardmon as an evolution has just been that every digimon species has its’ origins in one individual, and their emergence in the digital world creates the possibility of any digimon with sufficiently similar ‘source code’ to them gaining access to their source code and evolving into them. This would also explain Dukemon being a member of the royal knights since presumably ancient times while his canon rookie form Guilmon was first conceived in the tamers universe after being created by a human.
After watching this video (I’m catching up on what I’ve missed) I would love to see a video detailing the Digimon Multiverse especially with all the hype surrounding the MCU right now with its own multiverse 👀

Zoe was missing from the image but it had tinkermon in it. the picture is nowhere to be found anymore. 5 of my friends also saw it. any theories?
Yes! I love when Witchelny comes up. I have been trying for years now to find at least one of the pets at a good price after I found one in a second hand shop as a kid. My parents didn't get it for me. It was the water one and took me a bit to figure out what is was from that memory way back when. To anyone interested, they do not pop up much and when they do they sell quick and are rolled into ebay for outrageous amounts. I cannot blame them, there is clearly a market but I cannot see myself spending 1500$ on one of these. I quietly hope some nights that a reinterest in digimon v-pets would give bandai the idea to remake/rerelease them. I'd pay good but reasonable money to P-Bandai for it. On a related note the "Book" case mold for the pet has been reused for other similar devices. I have almost been temped to buy one of those and modify it as a art project. We can all dream XD

I really want an anime series or a manga that delves more into these alternate Digital Worlds, specifically because I find the concept of Witchelny so fascinating. I love the fact that Wizarmon came from another Dimension and personally like to think that coming to the Digital World we know made Adventure's Wizarmon the first of his kind, with other Digimon only being able to evolve into Wizarmon once his data was saved into our Digital World I just want more Witchelny. I have a Digimon OC named Magiamon who evolved from a Plotmon/Salamon that accidentally wandered into Witchelny

Found some weird stuff with Devitamamon mastering ancient “high-level programming language” and stuff like that. But it help me find one of my favorite digimon Mistymon who digivolves from of the many forms of wizardmon/witchmon and digivolves into Dynasmon! Is it clear who my favorite royal knight is yet. I know many people believe ice magic is a mix of water and air but I believe it to be a mix of water and fire as heat can be taken from the water through fire magic to make ice constructs and etc
also impmon and his evolution to wizarmon is cool reference to old school RPGs/fantasy where imps are wizards and witches most popular familiar spirits in theirs services. well in digimon franchise case the imp evolves into wizard instead. so it won't be surprise if you see a bunch of impmons working for them in Witchelny.
I think the best way to have the elements matter more and not be "just like Pokemon" is lean less on a weakness type thing, and more on a playstyle thing, where different elements actually have special tools and gimmicks that are unique to them.
One obscure Witchelny connection is MedievalDukemon and Dynasmon. See, Dynasmon tends to evolve from Mistymon and is said to use the power of the “Wyvern”. Dynasmon X has a “baleful” appearance due to more influence from that Wyvern. MedievalDukemon’s lance is named Dynas and is said to contain the power of the “Wyvern”. So the implication is Mistymon mutated by the Dynas is where Dynasmon comes from. This also ties into the Legend-Arms lore in Armamon being Dynasmon’s weapon since Mistymon is known for its flaming sword and the Dynas connection. There’s a good story in there, somewhere.
i knew about the other worlds but Witchelny is an interesting side media i didn't know much of, very interesting to know and how bandai likes makinging their stuff connect.
This is my first time hearing about alternate digital worlds (other than homeostasis vaguely mentioning it in Tri, I think?) so it was super interesting!

Hexeblaumon has a direct withclny reference on the option card "absolute blast" from the Battle of Omni set, where the water magic symbol can be clearly seen in front of his arm!
This video analysis was really informative for me as going in I had literally no idea, that Wizardmon had that deep a connection to Witchelny, and Hexeblaumon traveling to this separate division...sounds to me like perhaps the Digital world could have its own form of sub-dimensions that exist alongside the main one connected to ours the digital world. So does that mean that Digimon who have their connection or live in this magical server full of other unique lifeforms can use magic?
The way I see it, you can call it my "headcanon", Witchelny is another Digital World, with a different set of rules of the Digital World from Digimon, but within the same kernel/engine. There, the ability to program the rules of the world is called magic, and so and so. When a witch from this "program" crosses worlds with the Digital World from Digimon, they're decodfied/translated so they can function as a part of this new program. I always interpreted Witchelny to be akin to Digital World Iliad. With Iliad being an ancient Greece/Rome inspired Digital World and Witchelny is a medieval Europe style Digital World. In this universe they consider their powers as Digimon to be considered magic. Again, just my interpretation/head canon.
if we ever get this web shown bruh imagine a universe hopping adventure where they travel to the regular digital, to Iliead, to Witchelny and so on maybe even the app world of appmon or hell the fan made worlds based on concepts we havent seen explored like partener swaps, adult are events for recent kids, so many ideas
I just had an idea... In Digimon Frontier the kids got These Spirit things which for the most part opporate very similar to the Digi-eggs in Adventure 02. However the Spirit Evolutions go a little further with the kids being able to combine their Human Spirit and Beast Spirit evolutions to create their Hybrid Evolutions... so I was thinking what if the 02 kids could do something similar but with their Digi-eggs. The 02 Kids even have a similar sort of style with one Digi-egg giving them a bi-pedal Humanoid evolution and the other giving them a more beastly sort of apperance. So I essentially want a Hybrid of Flamemon and Rapidmon, Digmon and Submarimon, and Hasemon and Sharikimon. (I'm almost sure I got some of those names wrong.) While there's no examples of anyone having 3 spirits to combine in Frontier bonus points if you can also combine Magnadramon for Veemon's Hybrid Armor evolution. That said Sunsoonomon basically Frontier's Omnimon is actually suppose to have all the spirits even though it only looks like the Fire and Light Spirits... still what if Veemon and Wormmon DNA Digivolved while also being able to Armor Digivolve using all the Digi-eggs at the same time?

Watching this video a second time I had a thought when Karn brought up MedievalDukemon. He’s one of the ones FROM Witchlney that game to the normal Digital World right? Meaning, his original form is NOT a Digimon, as in, not Dukemon/Gallantmon, and instead became this way once entering the Digital World. This makes me think that, similar to kinda how the Royal Knights and Olympus 13 are kinda counterparts to each other, both protectors to their respective Digital Worlds, that Witchlney has it’s own version of those groups, and that is what MedivalDukemon is. He is part of the Royal Knight counterparts within that world, but because Witchlney is so vastly different then the normal Digital World, when one of them enters the Digital World, their form changes to some type magic infused version of their counterpart. Which makes me wonder if there could be other Medieval or magic based versions of the other Knights? Just food for thought. Great video as always Karn

Hexeblaumon has a direct withclny reference on the option card "absolute blast" from the Battle of Omni set, where the water magic symbol can be clearly seen in front of his arm!

This video analysis was really informative for me as going in I had literally no idea, that Wizardmon had that deep a connection to Witchelny, and Hexeblaumon traveling to this separate division...sounds to me like perhaps the Digital world could have its own form of sub-dimensions that exist alongside the main one connected to ours the digital world. So does that mean that Digimon who have their connection or live in this magical server full of other unique lifeforms can use magic?

The way I see it, you can call it my "headcanon", Witchelny is another Digital World, with a different set of rules of the Digital World from Digimon, but within the same kernel/engine. There, the ability to program the rules of the world is called magic, and so and so.
When a witch from this "program" crosses worlds with the Digital World from Digimon, they're decodfied/translated so they can function as a part of this new program.
By the way, great video, as always! I'm a big fan from Brazil!

I always interpreted Witchelny to be akin to Digital World Iliad. With Iliad being an ancient Greece/Rome inspired Digital World and Witchelny is a medieval Europe style Digital World. In this universe they consider their powers as Digimon to be considered magic. Again, just my interpretation/head canon.
if we ever get this web shown bruh imagine a universe hopping adventure where they travel to the regular digital, to Iliead, to Witchelny and so on maybe even the app world of appmon or hell the fan made worlds based on concepts we havent seen explored like partener swaps, adult are events for recent kids, so many ideas
I just had an idea... In Digimon Frontier the kids got These Spirit things which for the most part opporate very similar to the Digi-eggs in Adventure 02. However the Spirit Evolutions go a little further with the kids being able to combine their Human Spirit and Beast Spirit evolutions to create their Hybrid Evolutions... so I was thinking what if the 02 kids could do something similar but with their Digi-eggs.
The 02 Kids even have a similar sort of style with one Digi-egg giving them a bi-pedal Humanoid evolution and the other giving them a more beastly sort of apperance. So I essentially want a Hybrid of Flamemon and Rapidmon, Digmon and Submarimon, and Hasemon and Sharikimon. (I'm almost sure I got some of those names wrong.)
While there's no examples of anyone having 3 spirits to combine in Frontier bonus points if you can also combine Magnadramon for Veemon's Hybrid Armor evolution.
That said Sunsoonomon basically Frontier's Omnimon is actually suppose to have all the spirits even though it only looks like the Fire and Light Spirits... still what if Veemon and Wormmon DNA Digivolved while also being able to Armor Digivolve using all the Digi-eggs at the same time?
Witchmon always felt like a cool idea but am I weird for not liking the art of her on the broom. I kinda wished their was more normal art of her.

Watching this video a second time I had a thought when Karn brought up MedievalDukemon.
He’s one of the ones FROM Witchlney that game to the normal Digital World right? Meaning, his original form is NOT a Digimon, as in, not Dukemon/Gallantmon, and instead became this way once entering the Digital World.
This makes me think that, similar to kinda how the Royal Knights and Olympus 13 are kinda counterparts to each other, both protectors to their respective Digital Worlds, that Witchlney has it’s own version of those groups, and that is what MedivalDukemon is. He is part of the Royal Knight counterparts within that world, but because Witchlney is so vastly different then the normal Digital World, when one of them enters the Digital World, their form changes to some type magic infused version of their counterpart. Which makes me wonder if there could be other Medieval or magic based versions of the other Knights?
