No offense, BUT a new turner could probably made that wood into a beautiful piece. I’m jealous of your ability to get such a block. Beautiful piece I’ll also add.

Given that this is a green piece of wood I’d have to disagree.. a novice turner would no doubt turn in this into a piece that would crack as it dries. It’s takes a great deal of understanding to turn green wood to finished forms.
