I served 20 years in the Coast Guard. If it were not for bad decisions of boaters, search and rescue could have been turned over to civilian tow boats. But as soon as someone gets hurt, or has some sort of medical condition, the Coast Guard is tasked with saving them. I picked up more dead bodies than I care to talk about.
That coast guard vessel didn't even have the door closed. Obviously they know what they're doing but I'm way more paranoid than that, pretty shocking. They were clearly having a blast tho.
actually though the wind would get a lead kite up it really didn't seem to rough. the Jeaneu's were riding it well. That first big boat going into wind and waves at a good clip. Wonder about his gallons per minute.
Muy ilustrativo el procedimiento ante el mal tiempo, porque cuando es bueno, todo divertido, pero hay que tener la pericia necesaria para navegar con el mal tiempo, que por otra parte es muy probable de encontrar. Saludos.
I question the claim that Haulover is the most dangerous inlet in the USA. Perhaps on the East coast of the USA. The Columbia River bar crossing in the pacific northwest is by far worse that this. Haulover on it's worst day doesn't come close to the CR bar.
@@yolisurich4025 there are plenty of things on the internet to back it up. Let’s start with “graveyard of the pacific”. The us coast guard holds their off training there at Cape Dissapointment which is on the Washington side of the Columbia river. Let’s just say that no one crosses the CR bar in open bowriders. There is an entire specialized group of people called Columbia river bar pilots whose job is to bring big ships in across. The CR bar on a good day makes haulover look tame and when the CR bar gets angry. Even the massive container ships don’t cross it. You guys have a little puddle crossing there.
Always pop a few motion sickness pills before hopping on a boat. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of puke when the waves start looking a little scary.
Regarding your text comments at the end of the video.. You don't get ill from being out in the rain and cold. That old wives tale was debunked about 100 years ago, LoL.
I noticed only the real captains were out not the usual clowns speeding through the inlet with their overpowered toys with no clue how to run them or the morons with lake boats and children in the bow seats.
Those are outriggers. They are used so that boats can troll multiple lines without them getting tangled with each other. Trolling is pulling lines with baits/lures behind the boat.
At least we didn't have the usual idiots in boats designed for lakes going out in that. As for the camera guys, whatever they are paid that are worth every cent.
Ok so the drunk guy gets several major fails. But what about the jet ski driver. He didn’t even check that his passenger was secure before he Guns It? WTF was that? It’s not great that he “tried”. He failed! And the captain of the “mother ship”… he’s responsible for his passengers. So bad marks for everyone.
Love watching Haulover on bad weather days!!!
Coast Guard: finally we get to have some fun with this boat.

I served in the Coast Guard from 11/82-11/86. Erie, PA's MLB was 44344. We had a lot of fun on that boat. Would love to have served on the new MLB.
Loved all the coverage from Government Cut where the big stuff was cruising by.👍
When that big silver yacht came motoring in, I thought we were seeing a battleship. 😊. It's massive --- and beautiful.
starship / my seanna was the yacht that they filmed multiple seasons of below deck on
Yes that is my yacht. She is a beauty and I'm so glad you like her.
@@Peter-976 you're welcome. What a yacht. Absolutely stunning.
I paid for a day of fishing and damnit I’m going fishing.
Love the videos
Therapy IV going out in it is Insane
Therapy I, II, and III are probably at the bottom of the ocean.
Starship's tender is worth more than my house!
Thanks. Love the channel 👍❤️

Starship, beautiful boat
Coast Guard crew can't even be bothered to shut door.
i wouldnt either its tied up. id want the fresh air too
Watching this and wondering why would you take any boat out in this type o weather?
Funny how you don't see a "midnight express" out in weather. Would like to see how a Freeman 40 would handle the chop.
Coming soon
A Freeman would conquer it without issues.
Wouldn’t want to be a coast guard on days like this
That CG boat should have the aft door closed at sea.Naughty boys and naughty girls!
Won't be many on the beach today ;)
I love your videos, but you don't get infections from being in the rain.
Muy ilustrativo el procedimiento ante el mal tiempo, porque cuando es bueno, todo divertido, pero hay que tener la pericia necesaria para navegar con el mal tiempo, que por otra parte es muy probable de encontrar. Saludos.
No 1 rule of bad weather, if you don't have to go out, you don't.
I seen this many time vessels not prepared and not understanding the warning given not to go out. USCG
3/4 beam to the waves and keep the power on and you will get home safe. Full transom to the waves and you will sink like a rock.
therapy-iv is an awesome fishing boat. Also, is the Coast Guard boat a stabicraft?
It might be a Safety Boat made in Bremerton, WA.

Self-righting, twin jet drives detroit diesel motors, rolls Royce control joysticks.
What build of ship is that at 7:11? Very handsome in a utilitarian way.

You,re right. It's in the Top ten of bad inlets on the Atlantic side. The Columbia river is the worst with it's constantly shifting Bar.
Well this guy has the videos to back it up. Why don't you post some videos so we can compare?
Maybe so, but there's a lot more bikini gals on the boats in Miami :)

@@waults you can’t argue with that….and most Oregon gals you wouldn’t want to see in a Bikini any ways. Lol.
CAUGH or Caught 😀
😉👍🏻
@@BoatZone Love your work guys, watching from all the way over here in the UK. Thank you.😀
@@billycurrys Our pleasure, Billy! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Nope. Watch from the beach. Notice while even the conservative trim of the CG boat, even they had problems.
They were just doing a recon. mission, just checking on things.
Where is this place?
And still hardly anyone wears a life jacket
Unbelievable!!

Mare tá brava !! ✌️🇧🇷
Спасибо!
Thank you!! We appreciate it Большое спасибо
Why are these boats out in these rough seas? Does not at all seem like much fun. Am I missing something?
Sir you can't park that boat there that's heavy C's
A bit breezy and overcast. “Bad Weather”?
How do you figure that is bad weather? Just another day on a stormy sea - nothing special to see here.

I'm not familiar with the smaller fishing boats. What are those long poles on either side of Striker 1?

Put life jackets on the kids damn it. I know it's no fun it's uncomfortable. But so is drowning trust me I was trapped underwater for too long before

Yup no one gets sick in S Florida. It's amazing 😅😂
Why do they let amateurs even launch from there. How many people die a year.

Manalapan inlet is much worse than Haulover.
comme toujours les USA sont très écologiste NIQUE LA PLANETE !
