Where you get that press?
Hi there! Nice channel, thank you for what you are doing, it really helps ppl. What is an average mileage between bushing replacements for OTR conditions for Freightliners and Paccar trucks from your experience?
Boa noite daqui de Portugal gostei do seu vídeo parabéns muito profissional obrigado um grande abraço para você helder Henoch
That press is a good tool!
Thanks for watching!!
I’m partial to my Tiger, but this one is impressive as well. The only issue I see with this one is the bulk of it in case you ever had to push the bushings out from the underside of the truck. The crimp on the bushing is on the inside from the factory so he can push from outside in. He’s reinstalling with the crimp on the outside. This is no problem unless you have to push his install back out, then you’d have to be under the truck, and possibly removing the drive line. Not a criticism, just an observation. Sometimes on the front drive, air tanks, apu’s, and hydro-pacs get in the way. Whatever you have to remove beats the alternative of taking the spring down and pressing them on the bench. I used to do that back in the day and man, mess the clocking of the bushing up and you have to do it all over again!!
All great, but what if the lip is on the out side, how do you remove the bushing then? All I seen so far is inside lip removal only.
Yeah that’s good shit
I’m going to buy tool and sale that job to my boss, better than take whole Spring how we have been done so far.
Whath is the name for the tool to take out the old bushings.? Thankyou good video.
What did you use to lift the frame? Did you remove air from air springs? Can you disconnect all leaf springs on the rear at the sam time?
This video inspired me to get one too
What kind of bushing press are you using?
isn't the flange supposed to go on the inside or does it not matter how the bushings go?
I had the same question ❓
It will eat in to the hanger faster this way
Makes it a lot easier if you some lubricant when undoing locknuts.
