you cant land anywhere that has a base claim on the floor, which is why it's extremely important to place claims on the ground even if you're not building there.
@@DemoneKim So do you mean if I have the whole perimeter of a area locked down but a few border tiles are missing out the middle people can land here or no because i have the outer layer blocked off?

I was logging off for the night, watched this before going to bed. Saw that people could literally just fly into my base. Logged back on and finished building so I could have a roof. It's 02:30am and I have work in the morning...
My consern was that people can land behind your castle if you havent claimed the floor base and build behind you to keep you from progressing your castle, and if they somehow enter your castle, even if they cant leave, they can open your chests and throw items on the floor which will get destroyed after some in-game days. Other problem is that if you build too far back, they can build in front of you and "siege" the exits, keeping you from going out. That's what people are doing, so I am told, in the Brazilian servers.
Thank you so much I needed this. My first siege was a disaster I didn't have any gates inside or separate rooms and I had all my boxes near the heart. No honeycombing or anything. This is excellent.
IRL tactical security is generally implemented in rings. (Obviously this is a broad generalization but for the most part it's true) Each ring intrinsically intersects with each other ring creating a huge flower essentially. Interconnecting as many rings as possible ensures there's is redundancy. Redundancy is absolutely key. The outer most rings are primarily a combination of light-security/surveillance and the ratio for that tilts further toward security/less surveillance the closer you get to the object/location you intend to secure. Same premise here accept this is done on a grid (Therefor honeycombs/squares). The sooner you know you're being attacked the sooner you can impede them and if the 8973982734982734982734 outer layers are nothing but fodder, odds are you will wear your opponent out before they can do any significant damage. Attrition is a bitch. The defender has time on their side, the opposite is true for the attacker, so the longer you can sit comfortably and nickle and dime your opponent the more costly it becomes for them to proceed. Fatal Funnels (Points of Ingress or Entry Points) are generally focused toward the center so that defenders on the inside can attack the funnel from angles that give them a distinct advantage. Essentially a wide angled Y. This makes things incredibly difficult for the attacker because they have zero mobility and if they engage one side, the opposite side is automatically flanking them. Strip everything else down and so long as you follow these principles you will make life a living hell for anyone trying to attack your base.
@@An_Dulachan It depends on your particular setup but the main gist is that you want to funnel attacks into the most costly path possible. If they enter the room from a hall/doorway, you want to have the next one coming from either side, so you can A, get the drop on them and B, force them to go another direction that makes the path longer. Essentially, you want to force them into an indirect route, while capitalizing on the fact that they can't defend themselves from more than one angle once they step through the doorway. Ideally every door should be placed so that you either capitalize on where they enter, or to impede their progress by making the path they are forced to take a long and time-consuming one that ultimately leads to another more difficult path. Each one presenting more obstacles than the last. It's somewhat hard to explain without reference but I think you get what I mean.
Actually spent the day doing pretty much exactly what these guys did once I ran upon this spot on my server today. Literally have one base that is just a massive freaking maze, barricades, and even threw in some empty chests on paths that are intentionally designed to make people go off the beaten path, and then added AoE based servants I could get. So to get to my clans actual base you have to go through like 13 layers of narrow hallways while my servants are dropping AoE on you and all of that is just to reach my actual base with the actual goodies and you still have to fight me going up hill that way to. I'm kinda hoping we get attacked at this point just to see how frustated people are with it. My clan members have already asked me if I am a madman, because I actually have to show them how to get through the maze to get to our actual base. That said he was impressed enough he actually deconstructed the base he had already made just so he could move his castle behind my maze rofl.

Don't know if it's a good strategy or not, but I found myself a nice spot in the Silverlight Hills, south of Brighthaven Suburbs. Placed the castle heart towards the back as my main base, and used my other up front to honeycomb the heck out of the only way in!

Just about to start taking down my wooden walls, expanding my base and putting up stone. When it comes to making rooms, does each thing have to have it's own room, or do some things share the same carpet bonus? I'm going to try and make corridors with rooms coming off the corridor, rather than just rooms that connect to rooms. It'll take more space, but I feel it'll look better. I'm just not sure how big to make my rooms and what to put in each of them.
Good vid and info. Thr issue I have is playing solo on a duo sever and most places were snacked up before I could get a good spot. Best I could find was the spot just north of the Dawn Monastery. Has a lot of entrances but I can squeeze in some honeycombing I think.

It is what you make it to be :) if you want action like pvp you can go to popular places like copper/iron mines etc.. but you do have to spend some time bullding beacuse you wont progress without the certain crafting stations! I love both pvp and basebuilding and of course pve
So there is one thing i dont understand. you have 250 border so how do you combind your two Custle together ? becous i build it in the same area but i can not but the border together becous its sais ( to close to other castel ) so wat do i need to do ? PLS help

Can you carry a siege golem or explosives while in Bat form? Like could you fly to the back of someones base, over there walls, then drop a golem behind their base where the defense is weaker?
I have always disliked top view games but I gave this some extra time to try and get used to it. OMG I friggen love this game! Anyways, Damone - I'm a fan and I find your videos helpful.
In this situation where the raiders can only attack in 1 direction (east to west), does the "honeycombing" method even matter? Or would just building like 10 lines of walls be the same defense at that point, since theyre only moving in 1 direction, right?
I would put window walls on the sides so you can shoot at the golems as they are pushing in. You want to be able to damage the golem yourself or else you get raided with no defence
Love your vids! could you pls do a video about the best defence servants?? At the moment I run Clerics, Shield Dasher and Priests but I am not sure which ones are good/best for pvp defence. I would really appreciate that :)
The problem is the V Rising community had yet to learn something everyone who plays Rust and other survival PvP games learned a long time ago. Honneycomb and have only a single entrance. This is simply a case of people coming from games like that into V and suddenly all the vampire fans are like "Oh no..." Oh yes.
question : can i place walls down during someone raiding my base? some games allowed this like new world betas HAHAHAH - ye thats why i hated the betas for nw >:( ppl would just spam build over the wall u blew up and it was WAY CHEAPER to place down walls then go grind out barrels of tnt , i had 1 guy defend his base vs like 20 ppl cuz he just kept spam building walls in his honeycomb base 1v20..
Lol The honey comb has been around since siege games like ark survival and ldoe were created maybe even longer. To be honest watching the raid golem blew my butthole, I had no idea you could summon such a behemoth. I'll practice on duel servers then honey comb my way into legacy status
I would love to go PvP, but none of my friends have the game and I can't find good solo PvP servers. So yeah, than it becomes 1vs4. Now, I like a challenge. But a challenge in itself should be something doable. Going ahead 4 people, well I aint see that working out for me :)
I've just secured a huge spot (soon upgrading to lvl4 just to build it all inside lol) and I've placed some basic buffer walls, but I'm soon thinking to do it much more like the vid shows. However, does that mean that you're basically cursing yourself to be opening ridiculous amount of doors every time you come back home?
if you play for a long time each day, you can just have only one door shut, and then before you log off, shut all doors, just gotta know the raid times for your server.
@@Umimugo That's actually a pretty good tip! Only problem is I don't want to give myself a "have I shut the doors" paranoia xD Like with my real home, I just try to have good habits.

So all of my day 1 work is probably gone, because they lock the flooring recipes behind random loot drops, so I can't build a roof... and you're saying they can just.... fly in? Are you fucking kidding me?
dropping loot is stupid and frustrating as hell. It's the only reason it will make me quit this game. Please implement some sort of pvp rating, other then stealing everything people worked for so hard.
This is the ugliest strat ive ever heard of, both aesthetically and out of principle. How can raiding be fun with this being the meta? I play on duo pvp and im happy this isnt a problem for me yet, hopefully im never forced to resort to this, cuz sweaty stuff like this is so immersion breaking and sucks the fun out of the game. Yes, sucks, like a vampire.

Awesome, thanks!
I'm going to start playing V Rising soon, and I was just wondering how central to the game is base building, is it something I don't have to spend a ton of time on if I don't want to or not? Also, I know it's a survival game, but is there enough action so that it's not boring?
It is what you make it to be :) if you want action like pvp you can go to popular places like copper/iron mines etc.. but you do have to spend some time bullding beacuse you wont progress without the certain crafting stations! I love both pvp and basebuilding and of course pve
Where do you make the Battle armor? Got the unlock from the boss.
This GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME is amazing!
So there is one thing i dont understand. you have 250 border so how do you combind your two Custle together ? becous i build it in the same area but i can not but the border together becous its sais ( to close to other castel ) so wat do i need to do ? PLS help
can you fly with a bat and use golem if you land on a non squared area on youre base? also can you fly with explosives too? thanks in advance.
In PvP can you break threw walls with golum or just doors? and how long does it take to break threw a door?
He Demone,
Can players jump up cliffs with bomba? Of fly over a clif with bat forn with a bomb? Or golen
Hey Demone! Love your vids. Im around lvl48. Pve so raid is not a problem. I moving my castle and was wondering how big should i bulid my study/libary. So far i only have the base research desk and a study desk. Will there will be anything else wich should be built with the on the same room. For nothing else but astetic reasons? Thanks in advance!
Can they just get in your garden as bat and summon the golem in there to avoid destroying your first walls ?
Can't carry things like that in bat form. Also can't land on claimed tiles
basically an OUTDATED RUST tutorial
Can you carry a siege golem or explosives while in Bat form? Like could you fly to the back of someones base, over there walls, then drop a golem behind their base where the defense is weaker?
You cannot.
This is simply a case of people coming from games like that into V and suddenly all the vampire fans are like "Oh no..." Oh yes.
honey combing in this game way harder in rust i think, coz i can only a square as claim, but no triangles etc like Rust
I saw this and thought this would be a great PvE game. I would never think of playing this in PvP.
All good base spots are occupied on my server.... :( do i change server to low pop ? :D
Hi Demone, if I choose PVE server, will I see other players in the same server or will I be the only player there? Thanks!
Can you untransform from the bat form in the middle of their base?
I wish have the answer too !
Depends. If they have claim spots everywhere then no.
LMAO, yeah ZVamp putting in the work ngl. Literally gonna have no contest for a few days
There's a way to share V blood power with a friend that have just started?
Anyone know how you get the tailoring floor? People say you get it from Beatrice the Tailor but I've killed her & no floor for me?
Basically build your base like you would in rust
question : can i place walls down during someone raiding my base?
some games allowed this like new world betas HAHAHAH - ye thats why i hated the betas for nw >:( ppl would just spam build over the wall u blew up and it was WAY CHEAPER to place down walls then go grind out barrels of tnt , i had 1 guy defend his base vs like 20 ppl cuz he just kept spam building walls in his honeycomb base 1v20..
We used to be able to, but they nerfed it.
Lol
The honey comb has been around since siege games like ark survival and ldoe were created maybe even longer.
Do golems have to start at a door?
I did wonder if this would be a thing, based on how mobile games work
I've just secured a huge spot (soon upgrading to lvl4 just to build it all inside lol) and I've placed some basic buffer walls, but I'm soon thinking to do it much more like the vid shows.
Who gonna raid that base? Looks cray.
When I saw this come out my first question was is there base pvp lol
how to get scales unless i can skip this armor somehow to next one
Video coming soon
Resubbed Demone, hope this game is offering you everything Amazon failed to deliver my dude.
Can this game be played solo?
on my server I built in the center of the server and see no one around me lol guess thats why i didnt get raided yet lol
This doesn't apply to PvE servers, correct?
Do these guys have a discord? I have built in the same exact place and we are about to fight the bosses that make us dracula for the server we need to beef up the honey combing
I have bugged game can pit floor
Honeycombing is the dumbest shit I've played way too much rust and I hated doing that shit I enjoy this game so much and the first 2 weeks I didn't think about honeycombing until I raided someone and saw theirs now I gotta figure it out on my castle and it looks like a shitty bunch of boxes I hate it so much.
All my 3k hours in rust is paying off now i can build the most annoying honeycomb airlocked bases ever
Can u be raided on pve?
Cant the enemy just fly to the back of your base once the first castle gate is down at the front, then use explosives to just go through the walls?
cant carry stuff in bat form
What about bear form?
@@KjKase You mean Frog Form and yes.
Didnt know I was raiding Ainz own gown 🤔🤣
Sasuga Ainz
UO called, they want their graphics back lol
If only the combat was as smooth in uo
So all of my day 1 work is probably gone, because they lock the flooring recipes behind random loot drops, so I can't build a roof... and you're saying they can just.... fly in? Are you fucking kidding me?
nah if i start i play pve i dont like too kill my base
I guess this is a no wipe server
If your servant dies, does it lose items, does the servant perma die?
Pleas draw I don’t understand.
I am too edgy so I am going to go off-meta and have all the most valuable items on the outside and the useless stuff tucked away far at the back.
Man this is why I never play games like this with randos people are garbage who just grief each other.
This is so sad. Having to build like this and making it look so ugly just for making it stronger. So sad
May the Trap Base Meta Begin
Rust is better in this regard, you can design your base to be harder to raid but it's no where as boring looking as in this game.
And this is what ruins Base building
Tired of getting raided? Pay 15$ and rent a server.:)
dropping loot is stupid and frustrating as hell.
Yes, sucks, like a vampire.
play PVE!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Z Vampire? Sounds like a pro Russian, pro Ukrainian war faction...
