    I am SO relieved to have this aquarium back up and running. Still have some fine tuning, but what do you think? Up next, building a new station for housing small tanks for resale. A fish pimp's work is never done! Stay tuned!

      it looks great Rachel ive a chance of getting a 125 gallon tank its been sat in a garden for about two years filled with water , the problem is its a rimless tank and it has no centre brace ,will it be ok over time or should i try and get a brace of some kind for it , i heard they can bow out if they havent got one .im a bit concerned s its going in my bedroom downstairs with my other smaller tanks .

    • @JordanJamesBatts
      @JordanJamesBatts 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@loftyskies123 you can always add a brace! It isn't too terribly difficult. And it shouldn't be expensive.

    • @JordanJamesBatts
      @JordanJamesBatts 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this is my favorite tank on TH-cam. There's just something about these hillstream tanks.

    • @loftyskies123
      @loftyskies123 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks jordan does it have to be made of glass the same thickness as the tank glass, or are there ones i can buy that clip on or something . we did have 4foot tanks back in the 70s and all of those had a centre brace it was a bit of a pain to get bog wood in some of them though . i,ll have a look around see what i can find for it .

    • @JordanJamesBatts
      @JordanJamesBatts 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@loftyskies123 I would use some decent glass but it definitely doesn't need to be low iron ultra clear. I'd source a local glass business and see if they've got scraps you could pick through. From there get them to cut one just perfect for the brace. Then use two running perpendicular ( along the front and back of tank) of any size really. You could run them all the way to the corners or even just a few inches wider than the brace. Some aquarium safe acrylic and you should be good to go.
