Today we are taking a look at my 150g Hillstream Aquarium- the very first build on this channel over 5 years ago! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
Totally get the covid blues , I too was feeling down then first time ever my beautiful long fin cories spawned and it kickstarted me into a happiness and motivation , baby cories are so (as you say) stinkin' cute! This hobby is a life saver in times like these. CONGRATS on 5 years!
I hate to say it Rachel, but there's a sadness in your voice. I hope you're okay both mentally and physically. I know I speak for all your viewers when I say that we wish you all the best. These are tough times but you're a tough lady - fight back! So far, I've survived three life threatening illnesses, a serious car crash and 9/11 ... and I'm not half as strong as you seem to be. Stand strong and you'll get through this. We'll all get through this.
Remember the reason behind the aquariums we create. What it does for the body, mind, soul. Lowers blood pressure, relieves stress, and gives you a piece of nature. Take in those moments as you decided which tanks to take down. Stay strong Rachel, we appreciate all you do on this channel over the years. I did go through a dark Covid period, even became negligent regarding my maintenance regime. But all my little friends (various fish, shrimp, snail, turtle, and plant species) reminded me of one very important thing: they live in the present and so should I. We are blessed to have such a wonderful hobby in our lives. Please do a new vlog on the Big Boys, I love that tank to bits.
My tanks have really helped me get through the disease. Doing water changes and feeding helped keep me moving. Of course watching your videos also really helped. Thank Rachel!

I spotted my first baby snail today! Yes, snails breed like crazy and require little help but it’s my first time keeping snails and I’m excited. What brings a person joy can be the smallest of things, we just have to see them. Love the hillstream loaches... I find them amusing little guys that dart around my tank.
Those are some of the most fantastic fish I have ever seen. What a treat it was just to watch this tank for a little while. It's one of my favorites, along with the one covered in green algae. This hobby and TH-camrs like you are the distraction I need to get through this pandemic!

This tank rocks my world. You should only keep tanks that still rock yours. If I could live with one of your tanks other than this one it would be the algae tank with the chili rasboras and betta variety that I am blanking on the name of.
This is my favorite one of your tanks for sure. I love hill stream species. I’m an avid fly fisherman so I really enjoy the fish movement in flowing water like trout.
Always loved this tank, also wish to have to have something very similiar at my home with some native species and a biotope setup for them. Fish will always be the best in their natural type habitat. The gobies and hillsteam loaches are awesome. Please let this tank run for how long it can be.

Recently took down 4 of my tanks. Planning on taking 2 more down and leaving my 75 and 80 gallon. I pay way more attention and have been constantly getting my hands in them. It's been refreshing.
Congrats on five years! I wish I would’ve found you sooner, although it’s been great fallowing for the past year or so. I’m kinda on the band wagon of being sick with life. If it wasn’t for my fishys I wouldn’t have a lot to look forward to. I do enjoy seeing how things are going in your fish room. This video in particular brought me a little calm. Thank you
