    What I love about this show is that it is filmed in a multicultural Toronto and they show people with all sorts if backgrounds. Their houses really show the style they brought with them from the 'old' country. This lady's house had the Eastern EU style I am well familiar with that doesn't appeal to young, hip Westerners. But it was clean and tidy. I wish her well!

    Oh! That green! That bright color goes completely against any house selling rule that says paint your walls a neutral color so it appeals to most buyers. Even a light sage green would be a somewhat neutral shade that wouldnt make eyeballs pop as soon as they walked into the front room. House looks so much better than before, but the color choice was a really bad design choice.

    The refreshing green color matches the age of the house while bringing it out of the ordinary greys and light beige's that we see in modern decorating. I'm sure that not having a handrail is a building code violation but a homeowner might see this as a simple fix by adding a railing of their own liking. Even one white handrail all the way up is better than none. House staging shows that the homeowner really wants to sell and allows prospective buyers see what the possibilities are.

The last thing I'd want is to be sliding an electrical appliance as my water heater spewed water behind it! I can't believe that passed code...not to mention the whole no hand rail on the stairs bone head decision! Who is this 'contractor?' Can't believe this guy's actually licensed.

    The green is not good. In any of the rooms. Why is a contractor doing the design? I think a designer would do better.

      Remember that the owner originally came from Romania? She installed that light "bc it helped her do her reading." Her words, not mine.

    • @serenakoleno9338
      @serenakoleno9338 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      She lived there less than two years. She never said she installed the light, was just putting a positive spin on it about good to read by. Maybe it was a home office or sewing room previously.

      @Anthony D Comments have said her furniture and setup was very typical of an Eastern European home at the turn of the C21st. In her case, being from Romania. They also said she had not had the money available to repair or improve her house.

      Surely she is taking into account the seller is from a different culture with different tastes. She admires her for what she has accomplished, knows the seller is interested in spending as little as possible to get the most profit, and will listen to her advice. If I moved to Romania I would listen to what the pro told me re attracting buyers in that country.
