S8s have always been great cars. We have a 1999 D2 (Ronin style) in the family and it’s still going strong and fun to drive. The new ones must be absolute beasts. Love the car, but would spec in a different color and bright wheels. After the RS6 Avant, this is most Audi of Audis!

For the menu, the heated steering wheel button, press and hold it and it'll allow you to replace Either the A/C max or the off button. You have to press and hold it while you're in the extra .... Menu. As far as sync, you don't have to click on sync each time, you can use your two fingers and make a pinch gesture on the bottom screen and it'll sync. And to unsync, you can do the reverse of the pinch or simply click on the passenger side AC control and it'll unsync.
My 5 series BMW does the same shift up in manual mode Matt. All you have to do is shift once manually and the computer gives you full shifting control after that. Nice 👌 luxurious car Matt. 😊

Your audi is also smoother because it has a longer wheel base than regular cars. Suspension helps but longer wheel base is key to a smooth ride. Nice car. I still have my 1997 volvo 960 wagon. It refuses to die.

Audi owner here 👋🏼 The control for the heated steering wheel can either be added as a “shortcut” along the bottom row of heating/ventilation for the seats etc. or it can also be programmed to turn on/off via the * button on the steering wheel itself. About the climate control sync function you can easily do that by “pinching” with two fingers on the lower display (like you’re zooming out on a picture on your phone). To release the sync you either do the opposite gesture (like zooming in on a picture) or simply change the passenger side temperature for instance. Hope this is at least somewhat helpful
my 2009 accord has lanekeeping and adaptive cruise, I use it all the time, it helps a lot to save energy on long distances, or when the light conditions are bad, the car sees things and reacts before I see them. I am able to do around 1500km in one go, once I did 1900. But I am so surprised you are mentioning such an old tech on a new luxury top of the line car. I thought nowadays every other car has it... ...Love my Accord, back then it had to be so futuristic.

For the heated steering, you can set it up so you can turn it on with one of the buttons on the steering wheel. For the temperature sync, you can put one finger on the passenger's climate control side and another finger on the driver's and bring the two fingers together while still touching the screen and it will sync. They should've told you that at the dealership. I have the same info system on my A6
I do 25 miles a year and average 52mpg in my crappy Honda Jazz, that’s about £3200 a year on fuel if I was driving this and got 22mph that would be £7700 a year, if I had s8 money I’d just get something electric, it’s not just fuel cost it’s all the expensive servicing long term.
I am not really into brand new cars because of depreciation, I would consider getting an S8, very nice car, 3 to 5 years old. Just had a look - there are very very few available on Autotrader. Only 10 cars on Autotrader when using criteria newer than 2018, and with tidy miles. Starting price £71,995. This car is best purchased when you are putting it through your company / business. It is very expensive to make as a personal purchase.
This is a great car, no doubt. The running costs will probably be slightly lower than Porsche, this colour is quite unique too. My dream car is Porsche Panamera, but currently out of my budget...
