    Followed paleo for a long time. It's a great diet and I really loved the way my body responded to it. Funny we've switched. I'm now a more intuitive eater.

    I was paleo nazi for three years and mark my words its the worst type of eating cutting out entire food groups. I was so lean but who cares when you're constantly hungry and miserable. It stuffed with my hormones and I fell into the worst depression of my life. I enjoy a portion of everything these days and have never felt better, healthier, happier with no deprivation.

      you cant cut the carbs since its your energy. i lost 20 pounds by cutting fat lol (kept 35-40g of fat and had 150g of carbs a day)

      @@Bonpicomi I don't know who keeps telling ppl that carbs are nessary .your body uses fat as fuel and energy when your in a low carb state. Also veggies is enough carbs if you can handle them. Shit you can eat all the carrots. Spaghetti squash. Cabbage. Cassava and sweet potato you want. I on the other hand have to limit carbs because it triggers my autoimmune/autoinflammatory

      @@Bonpicomi also I lost 65 pounds cutting carbs. Everyone is different. But most of us don't do good with carbs are ancestors didn't eat roots like that. It was berries and leafs and occasional meat

      Paleo is ideal for putting auto immune disease into remission. It's not ideal for weight loss. If you don't have auto immune disease then there really is no point in doing a paleo diet.

    I go on paleo binges and try and stick to it and I feel so lean but horrible I feel so lightheaded and tired all of the time but the minute I try and add some rice or carb like potato I mess it up and binge eat, it is so hard

    So paleo isn't a bad idea but I always ask people why are you doing and how are you doing it. In general, most people go paleo because of digestive issues or just simply wanting to change diet away from the Standard American Diet. However, too many people don't realize that if you go low carb, you must go high fat or you will kill yourself and if you guy high fat you must add sodium or you will mess up your adrenals. There are no exceptions to this! You can however, use some starches on paleo but depending on what digestive issues you have this may be a bad idea too.

      @@chellepatino1675 of course it is… the paleo diet has changed some and never used to allow potatoes but the recommendations are not high carb then base is meet and fat which is a high fat high protein low carb diet.

      @christophernieves1215 no. It's eating what is naturally provided without processing ie refined gains legumes processed oil. It includes all vegetables fruits meat and naturally occurring sweeteners. That's not low carb. Fruit potato sweet potatoes beets honey maple syrup etc are allowed and not low carb. You're thinking of keto or some "diet paleo"

      @@chellepatino1675 I got news for you… I’ve been in the nutrition space for 15 years and the base of the paleo diet is protein and fat followed by vegetables which are junk btw, followed by fruit and berries then nuts and seeds. The paleo diet never used to allow potatoes even though it does now but it’s still wrong because meat and fat are the base. The diet itself is much lower in carbs and will put you in keto if followed. You need diet based in simple sugars (or fruit) followed by protein then fats. No vegetales or seeds because you can’t break them down unless you’re a goat. It’s a nice theory but it’s total BS.

    With those portions you cant feel full , i did intermiten fasting, two food per day or even one, and the days i had one it was like all you eat a day but food that fulfills like beans, chickpeas, rice, etc... These kind of diets are not good for long terms because it comes at time that you end feeling hungry and end eating everything...

    The paleo diet is healthy and clean but why in the world do you need to advertise that in a bikini? I'm a woman so I find that very obscene and bikini girls on TH-cam erase 5oo years of female empowerment in one instance. Honour your body before Jesus Christ and stop youtube bikini pics for the love of paleo.

    Have you tried the keto diet? I think is more balanced and healthy than paleo. I find it too difficult, instead keto also improves your blood pressure, diabet and does wonders for your hair and skin

      I totally disagree with keto being balanced. There’s absolutely nothing balanced about keto. You cannot eat certain foods or drink certain liquids. Keto can actually be quite dangerous. I’m not speaking for paleo because I do not know enough, but so much research & more than a few doctors & dietitians showed why keto is not good long term. Studies show keto raises blood pressure & cholesterol levels. Several aspects of keto trigger hair loss & removes nutrients from your hair. Keto diet impacts gut bacteria leading to deficiencies. Like any other temporary fix, keto can be a 30 day kickstart to lose some weight. Follow that by a true balanced diet that is sustainable.

      What April said. Neither are meant to be sustained on a long term basis. If you’re a healthy adult (by healthy, I mean without any terminal health problems), cutting out food groups is unnecessary. Losing weight is as simple as being in a reasonable calorie deficit. For those without diseases, the best diet is not one at all, just creating a healthy lifestyle.

    What I don't like when it comes to nutritionists and dietitians is that they always say carbs cause inflammation when it s actually eggs , meat and dairy,, gluten and soy. 🤦‍♀️

      The thing is nutrition is not a one size fits all. What works for someone may not work for you, so it’s best to follow advice from a professional if you’re struggling.

      weird huh, people who stick to the carnivore diet seem to be doing okay. even those with autoimmune and inflammation issues seem to be doing better when they cut a bunch of types of food and go on a heavy animal-based diet (but obviously not All). eggs and meat never trigger any inflammation for me, but dairy like milk (except for raw/minimally processed cheese and butter) does pull the trigger. soy and cashews also seem to be the triggers for me, but never eggs and meat

    Protein powder is terrible for you. Have to use a clean organic simple ingredient brand. Also having snacks is not conducive to weight loss or healing. Waiting 4 hours between meals and allowing your mmc to work and your insulin to come down post meal is key. You’re having snacks because your breakfast is bleak and not filling at all and low on nutrients. Also paleo can mess up womens hormones. Anyone with adrenal fatigue or menopause pls be careful how you eat and move.
