I like Katakuri being the Captain more, but looks like there is a pattern in most of the Pirates crew: the vice captain being more serious or intelligent or stoic and, sometimes, colder than the captain, and captains are more reckless than their vice captains.

She was still taller than normal people even if she was skinny. Giants can be skinny but still tall, example, a giant woman in the Marine giant squad. A lot of women were fat when they were children and teens but got slimmer when they were in their 20s and then got fat again when they reached middle-aged. Katakuri would be better suited as the official leader. Perospero may be smarter, but he's better suited to being the 2nd in command and keeping things running from behind the scenes. Perospero lacks charisma.

I can totally see a civil war over this debate: the younger siblings like Flampe and the decuplets choosing Perospero out of spite for Katakuri for not being "perfect" anymore. Katakuri is a nice character, and he's respectable, but Perospero is the one manipulating things in their favor in the background, he's the one who can take control of a situation and be a leader. Both would benefit if they worked together, but perospero is the intellectual mind. Perospero being leader doesn't weaken the crew unless katakuri refuses to be there (but they are on good terms and like each other), while katakuri being in a leadership position and not perospero would hurt the crew.

I think Mont D'or is really underrated, he seems to actually be an amazing leader, maybe hw micromanages and panics a little too much, but he seemed really amazing with logistics and accounting, plus he has a nice devil fruit ability that can stall people while others take care of it.

Katakuri would become a good captain and his strength fits certainly well especially in the Pirate world. Katakuri displays the military strength of the Big Mom Pirates. Perospero may be not strong but he his very smart. He represents all the shady things what pirates do and is a good leader for continuing the underground business for the Big Mom Pirates. The family currently is only strong because Big Mom is known for both, overwhelming strength and a shady business woman. I think the family will split after Bignmom dies which will weaken them since Katakuri isnt shady enough to continue the big mom business and Perospero isn't strong enough to be respected in the Pirate world.

I'm surprised nobody brought this up, after seeing Perospero carrying his mother's Vivre Card. This could be the same Vivre Card that Amande confiscated from Nami, back at Whole Cake Island. I guess it's safe to assume that Amande gave that Vivre Card to her eldest brother, Perospero off-screen. Since none of her children are allowed to carry their mother's Vivre Card, I doubt they'd gave it to her.

There’s a theory that the triplets Big Mom had (Daifuku,Katakuri,Oven) could be kaido’s kids. Since 48 years ago (the age they have) Big Mom and kaido were in the same crew.
Part of me wants Perospero to be the next commander so there's a Chance Katakuri can join Luffy alongside Yamoto. It would be an amazing crew with firepower fit for someone called The 5th Yonko. I mean if Sanji just made donuts for Katakuri then I'm sure Katakuri would join without a second thought.
This is a great example of how promotions work in companies. There are those with bad management where people who are shit at work but they get promoted faster because they were with the company longer. Then there are companies where they value quality of work and effort that promote people who truly deserve it.
I've got a feeling that at the end of the wano arc big mom is going to be defeated by luffy, zoro, kid, law and killer then later being arrested by the marines along with kaido and the rest of the beast pirates so considered that the big mom pirates will find out about that their "mother" is defeated by luffy and his friends then being captured by the marines so they will truly need a new captain and name for the crew which I am assuming right now in my mind that one of them will be under the stewardship of the legendary and strongest member of the crew to become the new captain and yonko with conqueror's haki: katakuri at the end of this current arc in the future possibly
Ok, set aside the fact that Katakuri is much, much stronger than Perospero. Perospero still just doesn't deserve to be a leader at all. Perospero is an idiot. Instead of just outright shooting the Germa family, he had to go on with his evil villain ramblings, even after his brother who could see the future told him so; this caused the Germa to survive and go on to help the Straw Hats to escape. He underestimated Pedro and took time to boast about his bounty, and look what it did to his arm. Katakuri is no-nonsense, and with the help of his future-seeing ability, he gets shit done. Other siblings constantly thought that the Straw Hats were nothing, but he always took them seriously. Those were the traits of an efficient leader. He does have a few faults but compared to Perospero, Katakuri is much more deserving of being a leader.
Katakuri didn't finish off Luffy because he had to go eat donuts so Katakuri also isn't free from criticism. Let's also not forget that part about him impaling himself with his own trident. Perospero is perhaps the best decision maker on the Big Mom Pirates save for his comical villain tendencies. There's a reason the big mom crew voted Perospero, Oven, and Katakuri as the three most favorite older brothers so Perospero is a very likely candidate. Perospero also directed most of the crew when everyone was trying to escape WCI and Big Mom went sicko mode.

For me since big mom pirates focus on family they must choose perospero as next captain since he is the oldest but this time the gap of their power of ruling must be all equall they will just make perospero as their decision maker, manager, and leader
Perospero has the better devil fruit and has shown to be more durable because of it. For example, it’s weak to fire, but has survived explosions as well as fire attacks. Hell there’s one explosion where Katakuri though Perospero was done for but he came out of it with just an arm missing, I’m not sure Katakuri could have done the same based off his reaction to it, however this is just speculation. Katakuri does have more battle experience though which gives him a lead, but that’s because Perospero isn’t a big mom pirate so he’s not as active as Katakuri (Perospero defends their home). Also currently in the manga, Perospero was facing off with Marco. The winning factor though is Katakuri’s observation Haki, that makes this fight so much harder for Perospero unless we learn his is equivalent to Katakuri’s. Either way he’s fighting Marco which isn’t an easy feat, that or they are teaming up, which is even scarier. Overall I could see it going either way.

I was wondering something. If big mom and Kaido was on Rocks crew their bounties must be still big. Because we know that big when she was young her bounty was already 500mil berry. So on rocks crew her bounty must be around 1bil maybe much. The same for Kaido and White beard. If that's the case these crew was really a monster crew. I can't even imagine Rocks Captain Bounty.

She was still taller than normal people even if she was skinny. Giants can be skinny but still tall, example, a giant woman in the Marine giant squad. A lot of women were fat when they were children and teens but got slimmer when they were in their 20s and then got fat again when they reached middle-aged.

Katakuri is a nice character, and he's respectable, but Perospero is the one manipulating things in their favor in the background, he's the one who can take control of a situation and be a leader. Katakuri took his whole lifetime to accept himself for who he is.
Perospero is the better leader, katakuri is the stronger one. Both would benefit if they worked together, but perospero is the intellectual mind. Perospero being leader doesn't weaken the crew unless katakuri refuses to be there (but they are on good terms and like each other), while katakuri being in a leadership position and not perospero would hurt the crew.

Katakuri would become a good captain and his strength fits certainly well especially in the Pirate world. Katakuri displays the military strength of the Big Mom Pirates.
Perospero may be not strong but he his very smart. He represents all the shady things what pirates do and is a good leader for continuing the underground business for the Big Mom Pirates.
The family currently is only strong because Big Mom is known for both, overwhelming strength and a shady business woman.
I think the family will split after Bignmom dies which will weaken them since Katakuri isnt shady enough to continue the big mom business and Perospero isn't strong enough to be respected in the Pirate world.

Perospero is currently can't sustain or even protect the BM pirates if BM would die.
With Katakuri you could potentially bring up the argument that he could strenghten his Haki or learn advance Conquerors etc.
His military power might gather more since Oven and Daifuku are supporting him as well.

The only reason he and streusen aren't sweet commanders, is because they and compote are probably ex sweet commanders who left the crew. Perospero is confirmed not a member of the big mom pirates during the events of whole cake island, so he'd not be a contender.
A captain should have experience, leadership, intelligence, and be able to think of their feet. Perospero has shown all of this, plus the ability to run the nations which he did in the background for big mom.
Also the fact that he'd be the captain of the crew, who is dangerous both for his knowledge and strength would be enough to boost his bounty by A LOT, he's going from a retired background position to leading big mom's entire military force.
You mention katakuri's intelligence, but he's only shown strong instinct. He's certainly not stupid like big mom, but he's not a chess player like perospero is. While perospero took charge against the strawhats, vinsmokes, and firetank pirates, katakuri was off having a fight. That's their positions, perospero is the soft hand leading the blade that is katakuri and the crew. A sword is stronger than a hand/fist, but only when it has a guiding hand of it's own.

This is a great example of how promotions work in companies. There are those with bad management where people who are shit at work but they get promoted faster because they were with the company longer. I've got a feeling that at the end of the wano arc big mom is going to be defeated by luffy, zoro, kid, law and killer then later being arrested by the marines along with kaido and the rest of the beast pirates so considered that the big mom pirates will find out about that their "mother" is defeated by luffy and his friends then being captured by the marines so they will truly need a new captain and name for the crew which I am assuming right now in my mind that one of them will be under the stewardship of the legendary and strongest member of the crew to become the new captain and yonko with conqueror's haki: katakuri at the end of this current arc in the future possibly

Ok, set aside the fact that Katakuri is much, much stronger than Perospero. Perospero still just doesn't deserve to be a leader at all.
Perospero is an idiot. Instead of just outright shooting the Germa family, he had to go on with his evil villain ramblings, even after his brother who could see the future told him so; this caused the Germa to survive and go on to help the Straw Hats to escape. He underestimated Pedro and took time to boast about his bounty, and look what it did to his arm.
Katakuri is no-nonsense, and with the help of his future-seeing ability, he gets shit done. Other siblings constantly thought that the Straw Hats were nothing, but he always took them seriously. Those were the traits of an efficient leader. He does have a few faults but compared to Perospero, Katakuri is much more deserving of being a leader.

Katakuri didn't finish off Luffy because he had to go eat donuts so Katakuri also isn't free from criticism. Let's also not forget that part about him impaling himself with his own trident. Perospero is perhaps the best decision maker on the Big Mom Pirates save for his comical villain tendencies. There's a reason the big mom crew voted Perospero, Oven, and Katakuri as the three most favorite older brothers so Perospero is a very likely candidate. Perospero also directed most of the crew when everyone was trying to escape WCI and Big Mom went sicko mode.

Perospero has the better devil fruit and has shown to be more durable because of it. For example, it’s weak to fire, but has survived explosions as well as fire attacks. Hell there’s one explosion where Katakuri though Perospero was done for but he came out of it with just an arm missing, I’m not sure Katakuri could have done the same based off his reaction to it, however this is just speculation. Katakuri does have more battle experience though which gives him a lead, but that’s because Perospero isn’t a big mom pirate so he’s not as active as Katakuri (Perospero defends their home). Also currently in the manga, Perospero was facing off with Marco. The winning factor though is Katakuri’s observation Haki, that makes this fight so much harder for Perospero unless we learn his is equivalent to Katakuri’s. Either way he’s fighting Marco which isn’t an easy feat, that or they are teaming up, which is even scarier.
Overall I could see it going either way.

If Luffy was actually able to damage Katakuri to that level then I’d say Perospero is stronger without a doubt lol. Yeah that’ll most likely happen, but like I said before, he currently isn’t a member of the Big Mom Pirates. Everytime Perospero set sail he would do it by himself with no Jolly Roger on his boat. I was wondering something. If big mom and Kaido was on Rocks crew their bounties must be still big. Because we know that big when she was young her bounty was already 500mil berry. So on rocks crew her bounty must be around 1bil maybe much. The same for Kaido and White beard. If that's the case these crew was really a monster crew. I can't even imagine Rocks Captain Bounty.
