I think she does it to make sure the audience is following the various topics. They have a tendency to go all over the place especially when there are interruptions (Loni & Tamar). I don't mind it but yes it is noticeable.

I actually got married on November 27, 2014 Thanksgiving Day last year. I did it for the same reasons Tamar did. We both had been married before and did not want to do anything big. So since family was coming with their potluck dishes anyway I thought why not do it then? I suggested it and he was on board. We had maybe 50 people and it turned out lovely.

I would think that eventually you would learn to enjoy Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, etc. even if you married on one of those days and it didn't work out. My sister passed on New Years Eve years ago when I was a senior in college. The first several anniversaries, I couldn't get into it at all, but I'd say after the fourth or fifth anniversary, I started to get into it again.
My cousin got married (the first time) on New Years..second time around...a regular ole summer wedding. lol...
