This guy is my best friend and he doesn't even know it! lol- LOVE what he's done! I'm working on mine. She's getting there, but nowhere near where he has his. This is what all FJs aspire to be!
hey *****, during the recording of the video i did not need to do a body mount chop, after changing my rim to a negative off set i did. with a 2'' lift and 33'' you will not need to do a BMC on the FJ
thanks for that info mate! I currently have a 105 landcruiser on 35s, but in the near future will be updating to a newer car and the fj certainly looks the goods!
Man that is one tidy truck. This bloke sure does have some really great little ideas for solving problems. The CNC cable chain is such an awesome idea that i could use to solve about another thousand wiring problems. Best of all it is about as cheap as it comes. Great job. Maybe you should recruit Andrew for a semi regular 4x4 tricks segment or blog?
Awesome build. Great attention to detail. Obviously a very clever bloke. It's give me a lot of ideas. Ronny mate it's a small thing but I would say when you cut to the Q&A I do enjoy hearing the cracking open of the can of drink you share with the person you're interviewing. It is a small detail but it is a good sound.
it is very nostalgic to rewatch this after so many year! I am amazed at how different this FJ looks now compare to when this was filmed in 2016! 5 years has past and I still LOVE this car! if your ever keen to do an updated video on this FJ @RonnyDahl I would honoured to be back on the channel
This FJ has the best storage system I've seen. Awesome fishing pole holders too! I used to do beach fishing in Hawaii with those huge poles you have to post in the sand. Those are perfect.
amazing, very informative and influential. great mods. super FJ making history here. Pass it tho the next generation in due time. Wishing you it last you 4ever. nice one
Glad to finally see an FJ! And it's well kitted out for sure! The dimmer switch and the auto cut off compressor are both things I've never seen before. That fridge wire thingy is an awesome idea!!
thumbs-up from saudi arabia and from none off roader 👍👍👍 i have a hyundai veloster and i think i'm going to buy with 2 of my friends 3 fj cruisers with the same awesome mods in the video thank for the hints... awesome work 👏👏👏 👍
I have a Yellow 2007 and it is the best investment I have ever made. 140K, no problems except for a bump in the transmission since new, feels like I got tapped from behind. Other than service, tires and brake pads. Its been a great truck. Mine is stock but I will definitely take some of these ideas and incorporate them. This is the badest FJ I have ever seen. LOTS OF $$$$.
were i live there is huge beef/compotition between the fj and the jeep wrangler sahara... i have a jeep wrangler sahara. but where live we mostly drive in the dunes. but i still feel in my hart that the fj is a little bit better
Not to much of an FJ fan, but this is nice. He's making want to dump all my money into my project. Slowly turning my 98 Rodeo into a ridge (very slowly, money...).
thats why i love your videos ronny dahls. u have clear, simple and straight forward video with beautiful scenery. not forget to the beautiful fj cruiser.very clean & organised 4wd with full of accessories. i'm very impressed with that rig. looks like now,i'm looking to change my current toyota hilux kun25 2011 with that one,fj..hahaha
Awesome FJ Cruiser. Crushes many of the best modified Hummer H3's I have seen in America. Though at 17:41, I would use a 360 degree deep ribbed cover over the steering wheel instead of the smooth cover/knob setup. A Ribbed steering wheel cover: The approximately 1cm to 2cm height ribs spaced 2.5cms to 3.5cms apart 360 degrees around the wheel provide 100 percent safe hand control of the steering. The SHOWN smooth cover with an installed single position steering knob is irritating and if you hit a pot hole or rock at speed you could strain or break a wrist.
Hey Ronny love ur videos. My name is Nick from Orange NSW and I am 16 years old. I currently have my learner license and drive my 1998 Toyota Hilux. One of my older bothers friends stayed at my house last night after going out all night and he has a 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser ute I have been in older land cruiser and the wagons but he took me for a drive this morning and it was like nothing else the power and sound is amazing. I knew land cruisers were great and I have alway wanted one. Probably in 5 years when I finish Uni (hopefully sooner) I will have my own land cruiser and maybe if u do a tour of NSW I would love to meet you. Keep the videos coming they are exiting and informative.
Hello from Utah, USA. Love the videos, Ronny. Keep up the great work. Does Andrew have a website or TH-cam channel? The portable air tire regulator and cnc cable ideas are quite brilliant! I would love to follow his build.
Hello from Canada Ronny, this is a great video and it gives fellow FJ'ers lots of ideas. Since we love to watch your videos we were wondering if this FJ may find its way on an adventure with you guys sometime? Keep up the great work. Cheers
06:02 Wonder what kinda of custom led drl Chris did to the oem headlights. I see he drilled and added a rubber grommet with bulb to the bottom of the housing.
Spotted this truck on my way home from work this arvo. Looks tidy! These FJs are slowly growing on me; maybe one day a diesel power plant might help sway me....
All the dramas with common rail diesels (EGR, DPF, Adblu) I really don't think they are a viable option anymore. If you are towing then yes, but for everyone else a petrol is a solid option.
Significantly too much electronics, in my opinion, I hope he remembers his multi meter, I subscribe to the the kiss principle. However I wish him well and grand adventures. Ronny I enjoy your style of video, as a local you inspire me to go forth and explore this unique country, all the best hereafter, yours Stuart
I must say that's the most impressive FJ I've seen. Very well thought out set-up. I put the same Coopers on my GX470 in January and they've been great. Love seeing them on other rigs. Still not a ton of folks with them. Quick question on the shovel mounts: I have the same FRO rack and have the QuikFist mounts. Did you just drill through the side rails to attach it? Thanks!
Great looking RIG!! Love the COOPER tires, should be standard issue on all 4x4 vehicles.. Excellent camera work and editing. Disappointed that the Canopy wasn't revealed :(
Great vid Ronny!! I'm looking to get a user FJ to run on the beaches of the Outer Banks of NC in the US...subscribed to your channel looking forward to more
Fuck bruh! This thing is kitted to the max! Thats bloody awsome! Awsome video! i have a discovery 3 but my friend has a mad kitted out jeep rubicon. i cant imagine how much all that cost! Mad love from Cape-Town Southafrica.
This guy is my best friend and he doesn't even know it! lol- LOVE what he's done! I'm working on mine. She's getting there, but nowhere near where he has his. This is what all FJs aspire to be!
one of the best modified FJ cruisers I have even seen, that's a lot of money. Just got my 2007, almost in stock, will build it up one by one:)
I love that he's matched his tshirt, sunnies and zinc to his rig!
I'm not a huge fj fan. But this is probably the most well put together and cleanest rig you've shown so far. great work
+giantranga414 thank mate i really appropriate the feedback =]
+Andrew Phan Nice rig mate!! Id love to own an FJ, i like your number plate surrounds ahha i work at grand toyota :P
+Andrew Phan Hey mate, awesome truck! was wondering if you had to do a body mount chop in order to fit your tires?
hey *****, during the recording of the video i did not need to do a body mount chop, after changing my rim to a negative off set i did. with a 2'' lift and 33'' you will not need to do a BMC on the FJ
thanks for that info mate! I currently have a 105 landcruiser on 35s, but in the near future will be updating to a newer car and the fj certainly looks the goods!
A great FJ with some well sorted accessories. I really like the external light switch concept.
Ideas Man is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I wish I had the 'smarts' of this FJ owner. Best I've seen thus far on this channel, love this fine example!
This guy is a solid fellow. 👍
Hey mat. I do have a website coming up with tip and tricks and also advise for FJ owners :)
Also thanks for the good feedback, really appreciate it
+Andrew Phan do you have instagram with this car ? :)
+DonDomel sorry mate i dont have instagram but will get onto it as soon as i find out with it is
+Andrew Phan thx;)
Awesome build. Great attention to detail. Obviously a very clever bloke. It's give me a lot of ideas.

Would love to see an update vid with @RonnyDahl on your FJ Andrew
This FJ has the best storage system I've seen. Awesome fishing pole holders too! I used to do beach fishing in Hawaii with those huge poles you have to post in the sand. Those are perfect.
You have so many great ideas on this rig. More things than most people do for sure. All super useful. I am glad I found this video.
A lot of thought and planning into this rig. Very cool.
Very well done FJ! I've had mine since 08 and still love it.

Damn. That is a really nice setup. I'm just getting started, but this thing is the nicest FJ I've ever seen. Great episode
amazing, very informative and influential. great mods. super FJ making history here. Pass it tho the next generation in due time. Wishing you it last you 4ever. nice one
Thanks Ronny & Andrew. Great video and sweet FJ.
Glad to finally see an FJ! And it's well kitted out for sure! The dimmer switch and the auto cut off compressor are both things I've never seen before. That fridge wire thingy is an awesome idea!!
Forgot to mention the custom flip key lol!
Ahah thanks mate! Awesome to inspire people :)
I'm thinking about doing the dimming switch on the lights I have on my bed cage. But... My LED pod lights can't dim. 😔
I like how organized it is.
everyone wants a lambo or a ferrari while i'm drooling over these bad ass rigs XD
same
running diesel would be badass
Thanks for the positive comments guys, you can always follow me on instagram or TH-cam. Will be doing updated Vlog of the Fj in the new year
25,000US dollars for a diesel conversion at diesel toys. Spend away mate.
jaysplace01 same goes to me...huhuhu

That guy went all in, thumps up!!😂😊

Love your videos and that beautiful blue water in the background.
Recently got my FJ cruiser. Love the blue FJ. I want it.
Brilliantly done truck mate, love the dimmer and table especially.
I like to see the commitment when people drill right into the body. to mount stuff. LED headlights suck though. I'm going back old school.
Not to much of an FJ fan, but this is nice. He's making want to dump all my money into my project. Slowly turning my 98 Rodeo into a ridge (very slowly, money...).

Dream vehicle right there
Awesome work on that FJ. Really impressive and brilliant ideas. Thanks for sharing :)
What a great rig and a great guy!
Awsome, just awsome.. Andrew, you gave me an idea to have a hobby. Expensive one, but life is short.
ahah you only live once so get out the and see the world or even better Western Australia
i love everything about this setup!!!
well thought out and constructed mods, great looking truck bud
This is one of the most awesome fjs i have ever seen

Holy Hell!? This is one helluva rig!
that's one hell of an FJ! great job!

All ready own one. Love driving it! 2012 model.
This is a very nice fj I liked that shelf above the dash
I had an 07 FJ 6 speed manual full time 4WD and I miss it terribly!
Thank you Ronny. Watching from Papua New Guinea
Wow... That fj owner has gotta be an engineer of sorts... Awesome vehicle! A favourite here in South Africa.
Ahah unfortunately I'm not and engineer, I'm actually work in the medical field
+Andrew Phan I'm an engineer and that's my kind of fj! Really awesome...
I like the outside dimmer switch for the light, great idea
This dude is a genius😄
great truck and video....keep them coming....after watching this I wish I had an FJ
That rear compartment is beautiful dude. Soo clean. I'm stealing your idea on the fridge wiring.
Great FJ setup, shame they have stopped selling these beasts in Australia
Hello from Utah, USA. Love the videos, Ronny. Keep up the great work. Does Andrew have a website or TH-cam channel? The portable air tire regulator and cnc cable ideas are quite brilliant! I would love to follow his build.
a very well thought out and kitted out FJ
Kool kool kool .
love everything about this FJ . awesome build . awesome video.
Great video as always Ronny! Loved the FJ setup and would be keen to see his camper setup (so i can steal a few more ideas).

jay louis thanks mate for the positive feedback! It's a work in progress and the fj has had a few more mod since this recording
G'day Ronny, can you do a modified episode on a prado. cheers
+Nic Pascoe hopefully in the near future mate
sounds good ronny
06:02 Wonder what kinda of custom led drl Chris did to the oem headlights. I see he drilled and added a rubber grommet with bulb to the bottom of the housing.
Looking to route the drl resistor module to another not so bright headlight with rocker switch and this might be an option to keep it clean.
Spotted this truck on my way home from work this arvo. Looks tidy! These FJs are slowly growing on me; maybe one day a diesel power plant might help sway me....
Ahah I wish they came in a desiel as well but unfortunately they are no longer in production car. Discontinued as off 2015-2016
All the dramas with common rail diesels (EGR, DPF, Adblu) I really don't think they are a viable option anymore. If you are towing then yes, but for everyone else a petrol is a solid option.

Mate awesome rig you have their! You have everything sorted and everything has its place. I really wish I had the $$$$ for such a rig. Enjoy
سيارة دفع رباعي رائعة وتجهيزات ممتازة.
شكرآ سيد روني
+عبدالله علي الشهري احسن قناة حق الدفع الرباعي و تصويره رهيب
Well thought out rig...love the thinking behind this. I think you should come over to South Africa and open a business here.
Thats a Beast of a car.
I've had stt pros for about the same time. I love em, quiet on the road and great in the mud. Don't seem to do well in sand though, just dig in.
awesome rig!
nice rig you gave me some great ideas thank you for sharing
Such a sweet FJ! Nice work
It's great,,,,good ideas....good video...fj is good choice specially for off roaders
Not a fan of the fj, I'd rather a ranger or patrol but man this guys done well 👍🏼 great setup
Ive got a ranger work car and an fj for home use, the fj is a better 4x4 no doubt
My dream car.. hopefully one day I will have this car 😎😎😎
I want this car.... im bloody amazed
love it great setup
Love the truck some great ideas thanks for sharing it with us. One question were in the world did you put the add on fuel tank.
Nice mate, great episode, nice FJ,

Yes i did. There are two hole that I drilled to attached the quick mount for the shovel
Love it. Suppose how much $$$$ is not a figure available for public consumption.
Great FJ - some nice ideas here
"Basically" a nice rig. :)
Dimmer Switch being used on this set up??? Great addition to zone lighting
Great looking RIG!! Love the COOPER tires, should be standard issue on all 4x4 vehicles.. Excellent camera work and editing. Disappointed that the Canopy wasn't revealed :(
This is one organised bloke with a pearler of a rig... wow
Great video, great channel, well done!!
I wish I had money. That thing looks expensive but it is a nice rig.
Such a great video
This is impressive!
