  • Post Hole Auger repairs. I repair the badly abused post hole auger, it needs new teeth and tip repairs. Then I get some holes drilled.
This is a Category 1, 3 point hitch , PTO driven Post Hole Driller Auger unit. It is old, does not have hydraulic down pressure, the auger is worn out, the drive line is all frozen up.
    My Tractor is a John Deere 1070, 40 hp, 4WD, Yr.1995.

I really like your screen in a screen tutorial. Not enough people show the detail when presenting something. I plant fruit trees with two augers. The first is a smaller one to break thru the rocks and the larger to plant the tree. We very much appreciate your presentation. Thank you.

Boy, that's some nice ground around there. Upstate NY is a glacial area with mostly nothing but rounded cobble rock and stones a foot down in most places. I will also say that you deserve every subscriber you have because you answer every reply, good channel Randy.....Dave

Th ground here in the forest is pretty good, we had some rain so the ground has sofened a bit. End up more problem with roots than rocks usually, but when it is a rock it is 20-30 tons. Thank you David for the kind words, I sure try to. MC to you and your family.

The weight was probably necessary due to essentially no teeth to dig in and advance the auger which you fixed. My post hole digger has a handle that you use to guide the gear head as you dig the hole which is very helpful to get a straight hole.
