- Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
Another fantastic map, though admittedly slightly dated now, is the original Scunthorpe 2016 map from MrMoose! I've always enjoyed the sheer variety of routes available to drive on this map, and the Optare Solo is the perfect bus for this route.
Using a nice Hornsby livery from Dan Dearing (Link below) we're going to be driving the full route 9 circular from Scunthorpe Bus Station, round to the Scunthorpe Hospital and back into the town centre.

Another nice ride on the Optare. I should take a trip to Trollhättan in Sweden, they have a Optare Solo in traffic.

I always feel like in the Yutong E12 you are racing along, and have a lovely Christmas Joe
Guess it applies to game and real life, but do you ever use the baseline technique? So instead of deducting change, you just add up. Someone gives you a tenner for a £1.80 fare, then 20s two, three is five and five is ten. That kinda thing. Sounds complicated but honestly so much easier.
i admit this is one of my fav dashboard because one of my first buses i traveled on was Trent barton The nines solo and they use that exact dashboard brill video as always

It funny, as far as I am aware, all solos in Scunthorpe were run by Stagecoach - Horsby has never had one in their livery, they use other dinky busses for the Rt 9 and Rt 35 (when they were running it (Stagecoach took over the 35 a few years ago))
Also, as someone who live in Scunthorpe for most of my life, You are correct, there is not too much anymore, but there are bigger Cities/Towns nearby like Doncaster, Hull and Grimsby

There is no hope for an OMSI 3, that will never come. They are working on that LOTUS Simulator thing but things are going REALLY slowly and not so nicely as it seems unfortunately. I'm not following along there though so better be checking out the official website and forums for yourselves if you want to know more :)

Joe, can you do a route on either this map or West country in the E400 stagecoach beachball? If thats possible.
The gearing is right now as the revs drop like they should when you take your foot off the throttle
In Glasgow they abuse the solos until they die. And one caught on fire earlier in the year.

As a driver of optare the Alison gear box paired with a Merc engine is a pain in the arse lol.

Ah is that where the beepy indicator came from? I got sent a livery pack which a few folks were working on, they must have uploaded that with the liveries! It’s a welcome addition!
