- Day 20
Molinaseca - Cacabelos - 23.70km
Another brisk morning again meant the beanie came out and the socks on the hands again. I did think about taking gloves but decided against it. The socks are doing the trick though next time I would consider packing gloves.
Yet another beautiful sunrise greeted our day.
Today we walked through lot of small villages with vineyards, vegetable patches and we were surrounded on all sides by mountains, absolutely gorgeous.
We called into a small village Church today. The village itself was unassuming but the little church was magnificent. The painting on the ceiling was grand. I picked up another Camino shell today a white scallop shell with the cross of St James painted on it.
We should be under the 200km mark today but who knows -we passed a 200km mark and then 6km further own the track it said 206km. I just know we are on the right track heading towards Santiago de Compestla.
Cacabelos is a lovely village and we had another nice Albergue ‘St James Way Hostel’. A fabulous menu del Pelegrinos. Jim decided he was having the rabbit stew for mains. As a kid we ate so much rabbit now I can’t bear the thought. We had a chat with a few fellow Pilgrims took advantage of the external balcony to soak in the views, finish our wine and retire to bed.
Until tomorrow
Buen Camino
This days walk was very pleasant and colourfu lby the looks of it.
The end in well in sight!

At 3:32 lots of vendor tents in Ponferrada -Wow
Something that caught my attention since the beginning is that De's backpack is totally missaligned, she's carrying most of the weight on her right side.
Hi Frederico
Yes you are correct but that was what suited her ,if you look mine was predominantly on the left.
:-)
"Normal" Camino walking is from 23 to 27 kms. and you where almost always walking 30+, incredible!!!!, you are like super humans, hahahaha.
Thanks Frederico

Jim...you're going to get yourself in trouble. "Spanish women talk fast! And a lot!! Haha....
Lol
It wouldn’t be the first time .
But I do like the Spanish people
They are very sincere and friendly
How she managed is out of my comprehension.
She is one tough cookie
