My baby will sing all day and just bulbs her head I can’t get anything done I am always with her all day she made sure to gets my attention by flies on the other side of the cage hangs there looking at me singing making me feel really bad so there I go to petting her and she just sits there and sings like I knew you would come she lets me scratch her head I taught her up she does that I let her out of her cage two times and the only way I could get her back in her cage was to play the parakeet songs on TH-cam I don’t know what to do I don’t why she does that I don’t know if it’s has to do with the cage she in a large parrot cage I was going to get other one but they said that’s not a good idea to do that as they will bond to the other one and not too you What should I do thank you
I'm facing the same thing. I'm on a waitlist to receive a hand raised bird. I put myself on the list when I lost my Budgie. Since then, I was called to rescue a bird who was found in someone's yard (they called me when they saw my sign that I had lost my bird and they weren't equipped to help a bird) and wouldn't you know, the eggs have hatched and will be available for adoption in 33 days (yikes!). I'm super nervous because my bird hasn't even bonded with me yet. Hope I'm doing the right thing and that the 2 birds will get along with each other)!
Hello I have budgies and I don't really try my hardest but it's been like kind of a year we got them and I haven't touched them even once, I give them vegetables (they don't eat it), they are scared of me(idk why) and it's just make me sad I would appreciate any kind of advices oh and I got them when they were kinda adults one girl and one boy
I'm 2 1/2 months into the process and my rescue budgie is still scared of me. It feels like it's been longer than that. He seems to be a sweet bird, but I don't really know. I wish I knew where he came from and what he's been through.
My birbs are not 100% tamed but I can tell they feel relaxed when I sing to them or play classical musical next to them 🥺 That's why I sing when I need to put my hand inside the cage or so, they don't feel threatened at all

Bonding takes a lot of time, love, and patience but the satisfaction once you made is priceless.😍🐦

Do you clip your budgies wings? I want my birds to cuddle with me.
Never clip bird's wings. It will make them even more afraid of you. You can't cuddle with small bird. They are cuddly only when they are babies.
