Congrats on MGKs contest man! Awesome! This lp is something I have been seriously considering. I almost preordered, but I already had my budget for the foreseeable future spoken for Lol! I have their last prior to this, "Firepower", but prior to that hadn't purchased anything "new" from JP since my teens with "Defenders Of The Faith". I love Priest and have everything prior to DFOTF, but I couldn't get into Turbo when it came out and never looked back until maybe the past 10 years. I don't mind Turbo now and some of the others are just o.k. to me, and now without KK and although Tipton plays in studio I think he's done, (only Hill and Rob will remain) but I've been tempted on this from what I've heard. Rob sounds great as always. Hope you enjoy Morten. Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
Thank you so much for the nice comment. I have only listened through once so far, but I’m picking up on good stuff here. This is my first JP vinyl since Turbo. I liked Turbo back in the day, I enjoyed new soundscapes, and perhaps Iron Maidens foray into synth sounds prior to it helped easy me into it as well? Rob does sound like he’s gotten a brand new wind. I recently enjoyed my first audiobook (british comedians autobiography) and tonight I downloaded Rob Halfords, as I’m spending much of tomorrow traveling. Cheers and thanks again 🤘🏻🍁🤘🏻
I don’t have any musical affiliation, guess I’ve been into many genres, I had the Depeche Mode style black motorcykle leatherjacket and hair, for a while I had the heavy metal hair and denim, before I became more of the indie rock, type with grunge leanings. But always true to my first love, 60’s and 70’s rock, late 70’s early 80’s punk, new wave, synth pop and even post punk and new romantics. I love it all. Just keep rap and r&b/soul away from me (unless it’s called Beastie Boys or motown). Judas Priest is classic as they come.
I suppose it is more heavy metal and less of the rock groove I thought they had before? Lets say they swapped tough for epic? Like Maiden swapped quick with long. Not perhaps negative, as I’m sure everything loses something with age, and what replves it will never have the early feeling of exploration.
Very colorful package indeed. I have yet to receive my copy (just going for the CD). The two or three songs I've heard were pretty good.
Cool, been avoiding any song or youtuber playing anything from the album. I want to listen to it fresh 😊

@@MortenAastad Good stuff. Safe travels bud! 🤘🇧🇻🇩🇰🤘
@@twangersturntable Thank you!
Believe it or not I have this on pre-order but on cd. I’m not really a metal dude but I appreciate the classic bands 🤘

@@MortenAastad Man I love hip hop and 60's/70's soul/r&b.
If you really like it, it’s worth it. The cover design is nice. Shame about no colored vinyl.
Yeah, sometimes amazon is a never ending source of everything, sometimes… not so much.
How is Judas Priest sounding now Morten. Does it still have the same excitement and power of late 70s JP?
