Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I don't trust Hojo's words to be truth as he likes to manipulate his experiments mentally and physically.

Yes, but Hojo retracted that statement at the end of Disc . Right before you fight Hojo, there's Dialogue where he says Cloud is the only successful Sephiroth clone.

@@badreedinedjellali1328 If we are to look at the original game, Cloud is real. His mind is fragmented from his childhood and the mako experiments done to him by Hojo before the events of the main game.
