  • In today's video I will introduce the simple method of zazen meditation. There is a phrase in Japanese: "KENZEN-NO-ICHIMI". It means ONENESS of sword and mind. This is achieved through meditation and samurai sword training. This is the foundation of the Kaz Method. Several years ago I trained at a Zen temple. There, I passed the first Zen KOAN test. In order to pass this test, you need to escape from DICHOTOMY type of thinking. You need to go beyond logic. It is an understanding that comes through the unification of mind, body and heart. I know this is a very difficult concept. Don't try to understand it. Instead, I want you to FEEL it. I teach this to artists and it helps them with their performance. But it is useful for EVERYONE. OK, let's begin!
    I hope you enjoyed this demonstration. If you did please hit the thumbs up!
    Please leave a comment letting me know what you thought about it and what else you would like to see!
    And don't forget to subscribe!
    On this channel I teach my samurai sword method that anyone can learn to achieve mind body harmony. I post tutorials, demonstrations and short films.
    Thanks for watching and see you in the next video!

    I don't normally comment on video's. However I really enjoyed learning this meditation. I'm going to continue to watch you! I did have a question, do you have any suggestion on literature (books or reading) about the way of the samurai? I would love to learn more of the self discipline to become a better me to help my community. What would you recommend?

      Hi, Andrew,
      No problem if you saw the color. when you watched something, please don't put in another mind. just concentrate in your breath. It's important thing is concentrate more profound.

      Seiza is How to sit when you do traditional Japanese culture, Japanese sword martialarts etc.. But it's not proper to do it for meditation. Although sometime do it with meditation as easy way.

    Question: Is it okay to meditate to peaceful music, sounds?
    Or is concentration better meditating without any noise?

    • @SAMURAIKAZARTS
      @SAMURAIKAZARTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's ok to meditate with music as healing meditation.
      But It's not zen meditation.
      Zen meditation just focus only your breath.
      Don't any focus sound, image, think, etc.. If you do it. But if you want to meditate with music. It's ok. There are variety of how to meditation.
