  • Shortly after a jury was selected in Young Thug’s RICO trial, one of his co-defendants threw in the towel and pleaded guilty weeks before the trial was set to start. Derontae Bebee, aka “Bee,” pleaded guilty to the RICO charge against him, along with participation in criminal street gang activity, theft by receiving stolen property, violation of Georgia's controlled substances act, armed robbery, hijacking of a motor vehicle, and gun charges. Bebee was sentenced to five years in prison with 10 years of probation following his release. “Bee” is the ninth co-defendant to strike a plea deal to avoid trial. The rapper’s trial is set to begin on November 27 with opening statements, where he will be tried alongside five other co-defendants. The cases of twelve other co-defendants were severed from this trial and one defendant is still on the run.

And not only that but it goes so much deeper, if you’re raised in this environment like I was you have to make a conscious choice to not do those things. If you simply choose to “live your life” then it’s exactly like you stated. You’re 14-17 yrs old making hard usually bad decisions and if you’re lucky enough to stay free then by the time you’re 25 these things aren’t just bad choices they’re habits. And ways of life. You learn nothing else. I’ve been forced to cut ties with so many people who were like family. not because they were “bad people” but simply themselves and it’s almost as if IM the one who has done something wrong. It’s such a deep problem. I think people need to come to grips with the fact it will never be fixed and just find ways to help the ones who do wanna get out of the cycle. Focus the resources where they will pay off the most

What do they expect when you put an already troubled individual into a violent environment such as the feds? All they know is survival in there. Then they come out and with a F and can’t get a job and VERY few are willing to give them a second chance. Many fold to push through and resort to the anything they know, repeating the cycle. No she was giving history on when the gang started in 2012. In 2019 was his first charge. Her reason for bringing in the gang's history is to tie it all together and be used later as he has admitted to being part of the gang. Unfortunately the prosecution did not read the evidence with proper pauses so for many it left confusion.
