    GREAT FOR BEGINNERS! This was fantastic, overview and my understanding:
    1. Aperture affects background
    2. Shutter speed affects movement, and how much light is allowed in
    3. ISO affects light, magic potion to bring more light if needed.
    Simple, subscribing now !

    I've been shooting for less than a year, and I say this is a great explanation. I watched a lot of other videos about the exposure triangle. I already understood it prior to watching this, but I was looking for the best video to recommend to an absolute beginner. This is definitely the one I'm sharing.

    I’ve watched dozens of videos about this and I have a good understanding when it comes to video. However, you’ve just unlocked the inner photographer in me. I've watched a lot of videos lately regarding the exposure triangle. Had a hard time understanding smaller number bigger openings etc. The way you broke it down into fractions really helped me understand why smaller ment bigger and bigger ment smaller. Thank you

    As a Communication major who concentrated on TV/Film production, you explained this better than any of my professors. For years I struggled to grasp a down-to-earth concept on how to memorize these basic components. You did an amazing job in 14 minutes.
    I'm trying to alter my couple channel to have a more cinematic look similar to yours. Thanks for the guidance. #619journey

    Thanks broo for this great job.
    I want to know more further about aperture in term of delpth of field; to have a very blury background again your subject, will the value number increase or decrease?
    For shutter speed in term of movement, if you want to have a clear image on motion, will the shutter value increase or decrease?

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. That's a tricky question to answer. Like I said in the video, aperture and shutter speed are expressed as fractions so bigger and smaller can seem counterintuitive. Like F2 is bigger than F4, because it's F/2 and F/4.
      All that said. When you're in your camera: smaller F stop numbers give you blurrier back grounds (1.4, 2, 2.8 etc). And for shutter 'larger' numbers for capturing motion: 1/250, 1/1000 etc.

    Little correction: iso does not change your exposure. The amount of light hitting the sensor stays the same but the sensor signal (including the noise) gets boosted. Increasing the iso has basically the same effect on your image as brightening it up afterwards in photoshop.
    The only ways to control the amount of actual light hitting the sensor (and thus change the exposure) are aperture and shutter speed.

    • @CreativeTechLab
      @CreativeTechLab  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the clarification. For real world use it's still part of the equation.

      @CreativeTechLab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for watching. I don’t have a specific video for exactly what you’re talking about. However with the principles from this video on exposure and this one on custom white balance: th-cam.com/video/mUlnH44twwA/w-d-xo.html It should point you in the right direction. What type of cameras are you using?

    ISO is how sensitive your sensor
    Shutter speed concerns speed
    Aperture is a hole which can be adjusted for lights to create image

  • @forsterl.stewart414
    @forsterl.stewart414 ปีที่แล้ว

    A very important thing to realize is that in fact....No, ISO is not part of exposure. Shutter Speed and Aperture brighten your photo by physically capturing more light. Which is the amount of light falling on your sensor.
    ISO doesn't do that; instead, it essentially increases or decreases the sensitivity of your cameras sensor. So, don't consider it to be a component of the actual exposure.
