Thanks! New fan installed and two random screws as spare... dunno where they go, but I'm not taking it apart again. Dell definitely started with the fan first philosophy!

Just did mine, thanks for the video, but I didnt remove the wifi card or the bluetooth. In fact I only removed the right side screen hinge and support and was able to get the fan out without removing the motherboard either.

I hope you mean the left side hinge as the fan is on the left side.

@@wildonemeister going back a while now but pretty sure after taking off the right side I could just lift the board up enough to get the fan out, but it was a while ago now🙂

Good tutorial, although they missed one hinge screw at 2:44. There are 5 screws in total, the fifth belongs in the screw hole marked by the triangle. Found out the hard way by having one spare screw after almost completely reassembling the laptop.

Do you know by any chance how to clear the BIOS admin password in a Latitude e5430? Or at least the IC in the board that stores the info and if by grounding it can be cleared?

Look's like when Dell design their laptops they start off with the fan and build outwards 😒

What kind of laptop designs was that? Are they seriously guiding people to do all these just to remove a fan for cleaning? A laptop fan should always be easy access for maintenance purposes, just what on earth are they trying to do? I am very lost. I could only think that they were trying to trick people into buying new ones. What a joke!
