    Thanks! This was the first video I found with the more complicated air hoses that the 3.0TDI has.
    Took me about hour and a half, taking my time making sure I don’t break anything.
    I found out that you can pull the lower side of the air filter box on top of the engine if you pull off one electrical connector from it (it’s situated towards the lights)- the small air hoses are long enough for that.

      Thank you for viewing and commenting. I apologize for the late response, life can get busy. The trouble we go through to change a light bulb is evil, the engineer developed a device that will either cut you or break as soon as you touch it LOL. Glad the video was helpful, its why were here. Again, thank you.

    Actually, yuo can replace the indicator lights easier through the front wheels. There are little holes there, covered by rubber, you just remove the rubber covers there, and gain access to the indicator lights

    For a 2006 the bulb wires are fragile and bridle, make sure you cover the bare wires with a coat of liquid tape to avoid a fire or modules damage in the future.

      For the other side you remove the screw holding the coolant reservoir and move it towards the centre of the engine.
      Then remove the power steering reservoir holding nut and move it to one side.
      Hoses are very flexible.
      Then once you have access to the back of the light do as in this video.
      Tip: use your left hand through the power steering reservoir bracket while standing with your left side towards the car.
      Unless you have small hands, then it doesn't matter.
      My light fitting was struggling to twist lock in place, so i sprayed some silicone oil on the plastic and it locked nicely.

      @@ScarzCarz I apologise I was mistaken. Yes our S6 and rs6 were V10 RS6 being twin turbo was the difference. The 4.2 V8 was available in our market but pretty much a unicorn here as not recognised as a performance vehicle and running costs don't justify it. I was mixed up with our rs8 offerings which have either the 4.2 V8 or the lesser found V10 lambo engine. Rs8 was marketed heavily in the 4.2 V8 version so as not to affect the lambo sales

    • @ScarzCarz
      @ScarzCarz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once you do it a couple times its not that bad. The newer cars are getting worse with non serviceable L.E.D tech, meaning if the diode fails you replace the whole assembly. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

      Have you tried the other side (driver's)? It's, at least for me (on the 4.2), physically impossible to get at the DRL bulb with my hands and remove it. I can't get enough of a grip or leverage to turn it. I removed the power steering reservoir but the bracket is still in the way, and no amount of bending and jostling gets me access (and I don't want to break it), and that bracket really isn't conducive to being removed. I will probably have to remove the whole headlight assembly to get to that bulb. I can't believe someone got paid to "design" this. Any of these automotive "engineers" should be required to repair things they design, then perhaps they would stop making things so difficult to impossible.
