    There is trick for undoing the electrical connectors which I learned just recently. I was always fiddling around with screewdriver and even bought some special tool that should help with these kind of connectors. Some I even broke with the screewdriver ;-(
    The trick is (and you usually don't need any tool):
    Put your finger or thumb on the end of the latch that holds the connector in place. PUSH the connector FURTHER IN just a libble bit (The rubber gasket inside the connector is usually allowing this)
    and apply a little for on your thumb on the latch. You may feel the hook poping out of the latch and you ar good to go.

    The front bumper's not too bad to remove on the A6 (C6). Nothing really too tricky there, and take note of the rear tap to release for disengaging the wing brackets, as those can be a real pain if they stick. Enjoy!

    I'm about to dismantle my A6 C6 V8 as the engine/box is going to be (mid-mounted) in my 1303 Beetle; these vids are proving very helpful.
    Did you do a video removing the engine/box etc with the subframe?

      Unfortunately not for the C6 platform. We have done engine removals videos on the B6/B7 (S4) and C5 (RS6) platforms currently. We may well have more engine removals coming soon!

    Dude the VAG electrical plugs are not disconnected with a screwdriver this is a common misconception, you push it forward and pres the release with a thumb, it goes right off, doing it your way breaks connectors

    Great video, but could you try not advising to use a screwdriver to remove the electrical connectors for things like the fog lights. If you push the clip on firmly, then use your fingers to lift the security tab it will come straight off. Using a screwdriver on these connectors is likely to damage/snap the securing clip and make more of a problem. Since I learnt this trick I've never broken a connector since.

  • @vnikolov88
    @vnikolov88 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't pry the VAG conectors like this, YOu push them inward and press the tab they just come right off, most shops don't know it and they end up braking the connectors when prying like you are
