  • Hey! In this podcast episode, I talk about creating a strategy for your life vs creating a plan for your life (and clarify the difference between the two). I also share a few "strategic choices" I'm experimenting with for my podcast.

I really love this. As a visual artist, it feels especially pertinent, yet genuinely not something I've heard of before. Society/productivity culture seems to focus so much more on plans, but I've always felt that I get the most done when I focus on strategy e.g. show up in the studio a certain number of hours vs. make a set number of artworks.

Yayyy on the strategic choices, love shorter episodes and your solo episodes are my favourite anyway! You always provide a lot of value, thanks for doing what you do💜

Good changes for the podcast. I also like weekly, even if it's shorter, over longer but less frequent. Gives me something to look forward to more regularly. And this concept of strategy over plans intrigues me. I've been wanting to shift in some areas of my life and this gives me a new concept to work with. Thank you!

I love this! The comparison to experiments was really helpful to me as a researcher. It sounds like the Strategy is the theory (based on past observations, the past evidence of what works and what doesn't, etc.) all your strategic choices as testing a hypothesis based on that theory. So, just like how you test a hypothesis based on your theory, you test your strategic choices based on your strategy.

Loved this content. This breaks down the issue better than most way I have heard the message of strategy. I think I can apply this today!

Me too!! But there totally will be mini moves that I'll share, there just won't be a whole segment for them, if that makes sense! So hopefully you won't feel as if you miss out too much

Plans never worked for me. Strategy thinking seems very natural and it doesn't look risky at all for me! I'll apply it 😁
