At age 16, Matt Corby auditioned for the 5th season of Australian Idol in 2007 where he finished as runner-up! I'm in Texas, USA and I'm probably one of the few Americans that actually got to see Australian Idol, I always downloaded the episodes with Bit-Torrent at the time. I loved the show and I really liked Matt a lot, he was my favorite and what a talent. I'm really glad he's still around and in the business doing what he does best, thanks for posting this video, a very pleasant surprise indeed!

They had no choice; the fucken government sent them. That song is a beautiful tribute to them. This was done live at (I think) the studio of Triple-J, which is among the top alternative music radio stations in Australia. Do yourselves a favour & listen to the "TOP 100" Aussie music. It actually runs all day long here once a year. Triple-J asks its listeners to vote (throughout the year) to determine the TOP 100. Probly best to listen to the top 20 for time's sake. It's fabulous & will give you a idea of alt aussie music. I'll subscribe to your channel...right now. Thanks! x L
