Stereophonics are always called one of the best live bands on the planet for a reason. I went to see them in 2018 in a venue with a roof and they were fucking amazing then too. They always perform better when the sky is above them but yeah, when Kelly and the boys hit the stage, you are certain for a good time. One of the most underrated bands on this planet, IMHO.
Been listening to the "phonics" since i was 13/14 from 1999 when they released their second album which was and still is my fave album performance and cocktails. Im 37 nowand still listen to them.
T in the Park was such a great festival, the crowd was always up for it and saw so many bands play at Balado, Scotland. This performance was at Strathallan Castle a year before the festival sadly ended.
I was at Strathallan. I live next to it in Crieff. My friend and i were in our 50's then. We had a blast. My daughter and her hubbie were also there but we all did our own thing. The venue is huge. We never seen them again.
Late for my comment but for sure one of the most under rated bands here in the US! I have seen them a few times and got to meet them twice. From the first release to their last release---great, great stuff. Plus, being able to see them in a setting of 500 or less people made it even more amazing. One of my favourite all time bands. I hear you saying you'd love to be at this Festival. Unfortunately, T in the Park disbanded around 6 years ago. . It used to be Scotland's biggest summer festival - a regular crowd of around 85'000 revellers. It ran fir 21 years.
Music festivals in the U.K. are regular and huge and awesome- Glastonbury is the size of a town / small city- Americans have missed out on so many amazing bands - the stereophonics + hundreds more 😂.
Loved T in the Park. So many different stages and different music genres. Mate and i found ourselves in a huge tent with Fat Boy Slim. We were bopping in our wellies for ages in our 50's. Then we were washed away with the crowd to the main stage for Kasabian. So many different venues food choices and bars cocktails etc. What an absolute blast. Huge Scottish music festival. There is nothing like a Scottish crowd. Too old to camp for the weekend but, day or weekend tickets ....yes. Ran for many years , sadly no more. So glad to have taking part. All our kids have been over the years . Some years sunshine other just mud but no one cared❤
The chant is quite infamous when concerts, festivals are on, "Here we here we here we fu*king go!!" I can only speak for Scotland, but a lot of musicians say that Scottish fans are the best to play for. Me- proud much!?! 😜🏴💚
Their 2005 album this is from Language sex violence other is amazing, I got it upon release & still listen to it regularly, there's also a live from Dakota album that is sick, so much raw energy!
Band, 100% agree with it! Especially since his sound never changes regardless of a video, studio, live etc. Sounds incredible at festivals especially for me!
Guys, do yourselves a favour (favor in US lingo). Check when the Boys are next playing at home (Wales) and make a holiday about it. Cardiff is the best place. If you do it, we'll buy you Welsh beer and food for the day. Trust us, you'll want to immigrate 🙂
