As a Philly fan, I’m still a huge fan and I pray this kid succeeds. I think the main problem during his Sixers tenure was that fans never learned what was going on with him and he and his team never came out and explained things. Philly/national media was just looking for answers and it was getting frustrating. He’s so gifted, I hope he figures everything out.

I think, this illustrates the type of teammate JJ is. Like, Markelle clearly didn't forget JJ sticking up for him. If your Markelle, and JJ reaches out to you and asks you to come on his pod, there's no way you turn him down. That's the power of positivity and treating people like human beings.

Fultz got treated SOO much nicer than I expected he would. The Sixers traded up to take him number one overall because he was supposed to be the shot creating guard that they desperately needed. He barely played in his entire time in Philly and never did anything even resembling what he was supposed to do. Philly is the hardest city in the country on athletes. I thought he would get hammered after a few weeks but people were very respectful and conscious of his situation. Even now fans here say they want him to succeed and we were all very sad for him when he got hurt this year. People here can be horrible to players who don’t play well or put forth maximum effort but I think we all recognized that Fultz was dealing with serious life issues, not a basketball issue. If you want to see how hard this city can be on a busted top draft pick go look at how we treated Evan Turner.
