I have gradually been ordering supplies as I’m on SS and can’t afford a bunch at once. I went through all my wires I found a heavy gage half round. I thought what on earth was I going to do with it. Perfect project! Thank you!
Yay! Glad my video was helpful in giving you an idea of what to use that thick half round wire for :)
You have truly been a God send sharing your knowledge. My art saved my life and u have alot to do with it. I use your basic cabachon video to make My first pendant and now I have my own shop bc of you.
That is wonderful! Thank you!
👍
That is so kind of you to share that :) I am just getting started with wire and find it very therapeutic 💍
Great job! I’ve made silver rings from 10 gauge 1/2 round, half hard wire and they’ve turned out great too!
I’ve been watching so many videos to learn and I find myself a little lost at the speed they go. Your videos are the perfect speed and your tone is lovely. You explain and go at a pace I can understand and soak in. Thank you
I'm so glad! Thank you!
I love the simplicity of this ring. Well done as usual.

I love this! I have been wanting to get some 14 gauge half round to use for some things and this will be fun too 💖 thank you for always sharing
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
Thanks, I only have a longer oval stone. I will try to modify this for my stone but it will be my first ring. Please put out an oval on someday.
It should work with an oval, as long as it is similar in size and not too large. Here's another design I have that uses an oval: th-cam.com/video/yeQAt4ZeWLs/w-d-xo.html
I love this design! Beautifully simple.
Thank you!

10k rose gold work 🙈🙈
That is so cute! And, I happen to have some 14g half round along with some 5mm calibrated rounds from Maya Crystals Store. 😉😁 I’m wondering if you could use a rubber or rawhide mallet to help harden the ring band? Thanks Oxana!!
Yes you can definitely do that to harden up the wire for a more sturdy ring
Cantik sekali 💝🙏😍
I am just so at awe with your Amazing talent!
I have a couple of questions. Since you're such an expert and familiar with wires. Can you please tell me if this wire which you're using in this video make your finger go green when worn? And which wires don't have that green finger effect and recommend?
Yes some people can react to copper and get the green. You can use sterling silver wire to prevent that
HI OXANA SWEETHEART GOOD MORNING IT'S 6:11 AM IN GEORGIA SATURDAY MORNING
Good morning!
Thanks for the tutorials. So amazing. Is the wire half hard or dead soft?
Thank you, dead soft
I love the copper wire, but wonder how to keep it pretty.
I use pro polishing pads to polish it up once it starts to darken, it does need to be cleaned often

This is beautiful. A really cool simple design. May I ask where you get your wire? I'm having a hard time finding different kinds of wire and the proper gauges, like the half round and square.
Thank you, I get it from www.riogrande.com
Thank you so very much!!!
This is awesome! Is it dead soft or half hard? Or does that not matter?
It needs to be dead soft, half hard would be too difficult to bend
How do you keep the copper from turning the finger green?
I'm not sure you can prevent it completely, some people's skin just reacts with copper. You could use silver instead.
Couldn't you place it on the mandrel soft hammer tap it to harden it?
Yes you could, I just don't have one of those soft hammers and my mandrel is a pretty flimsy plastic so it probably wouldn't withstand it
Hi Oxana! What sort of cheaper wire would you recommend for learning/practising?
Copper wire is the cheapest, I usually practice with copper before making something in a more expensive wire like silver
What gage do you think you can use in silver half round? Thanks x
I think same as I used here in copper, silver is a bit harder but should be manageable
Thank you 🥰
Hi Oxana! Can this be made with an 18 half round?
No, unfortunately that wire is too thin so wouldn't hold ring shape
HI OXANA 👋
Hi :)
Hi, can i use 12 gauge
12 gauge half round? Yes you could
