Race Shop Build: 2021 Kawasaki KX450

The Vital MX 450 shootout winner, the Kawasaki KX450, doesn’t need much to turn it into a full-blown race bike, but we still took a crack at it.
With the help of Jaime and the crew at Twisted Development, we sharpened up the mapping, bolted on a few quality parts and had the suspension set up for our weight/ability. DeCal Works took care of the look and we had a bike that would be competitive in any racing series. Check out the full test.

Ahhh color correcting in da Vinci resolve I see. Nice, nice. A tad aggressive in some of the soil saturation with some yellow separation, but looking really nice. Much better than any other Moto channel.

How does does it compare to a Hinson kit?

Great vid. The mapping that Vortex did was it on the stock ECM using the kawi tuner tool or did you replace the ECU with a Vortex? I have both a kx250x and kx450x and am wondering if it would be money well spent to get the kawi tool so I can adjust mapping on both bikes, where a diff ECU would only change one bike.

Howdy pardon please, what's yor favorite TIRE PRESSURE??? Also, in what conditions ---- 14lbs front and 12lbs rear have been happy but that was 10 yrs ago with hvy dty tubes!!!

They all say the chassis is excellent in terms of rigidity and bump absorption ect. Just needs half a rate stiffer fork springs
