Thank you for your video I always appreciate it more than you know. There are so many things I want to say about the Note 20 Ultra but it is a pure masterpiece. Samsung really knocked it out of the park for us this year. Please keep bringing up the dex system ! Dex really is amazing and it keeps getting better. Word of mouth helps so more we'll use it. I've been using it for years and I'm so glad Samsung has stuck with it.

I remember attending a conference in Indy and we had to take a group photo. I used my Samsung S8's front cam, placed it at a good distance, and took a photo using hand gesture...and everyone in the room, mostly Iphone users, was in awe. They were shocked at what I just did with my phone.

Well I think it’s depend on the personal preference. If you like heavily customise on your phone then go for android, if you are someone who is comfortable and no need for customising then iPhone. Performance wise, both phones are awesome.

Since Apple supports their devices, in some cases 5 plus years, you get more updates and basically a new phone each year. My iPhone 10 is almost three years old and is just as fast as the Galaxy S20 and still looks brand new and on the latest iOS and runs all the latest apps just like the current iPhones. So price per performance definitely goes to iPhone.

But the device is only costing them $280. LOL
Sadly, in the rest of the world, this device comes without 5G, less RAM, and with an Exynos CPU instead of the Snapdragon, which means subpar quality in performance, photos, and videos, compared with the US version. In my opinion, this is where Samsung fails, and why Apple always comes on top, especially the rest of the world. Because Samsung always releases different models everywhere, whereas Apple offers a single unified product that's easier for developers to work and optimize. In the end, it doesn't matter the design nor all the gimmicks a manufacturer adds to their devices. It always amounts to two things: 1. how smooth your device works in terms of performance, and 2. how good the pictures and videos look. And even with the admittedly lack of innovation of the current generation, Apple still excels in these two regards compared to any other manufacturer in the world.

Totally agree with you, I abandoned Samsung for this exact reason, my last device was a note 8. Bought iphone 12 after 12+ years with Android, had some difficulty with the closed system in the first week but now I'm starting to like it. And I don't have to worry for updates, Samsung sucked so hard.... I really used to love Samsung but now I don't really like what they are doing.
As an iPhone user, I 100 percent agree with you. I’ll be getting one this Boxing Day. Farewell apple. Edit: I’ve gotten my Note 20 Ultra! I’m so far impressed by the feature set and S pen. However, I’m not impressed by the battery life (Here in Australia we get the Exynos model). At 120hz I’m an average getting around 3 hours - 4 hours of screen on time, and 2 hours of screen off time. While on my iPhone, I got around 8 hours of screen on time, and 2 hours of screen off time. I can’t say it’s a dealbreaker though, the freedom of android and the Note’s S pen and display completely makes up for its shortcomings.

You kinda just seperated the 2 groups of people who buy into these 2 different types of phones. Iphones are for casuals who hold onto phones for 5 years and note users are tech nerds who want their phones to do everything and will upgrade every couple years because they always want the new features. Most of what you mentioned doesn't matter to us. Most of what we mention won't matter to a casual. That's why celebs don't buy notes. It won't cater to their lifestyle.

For Samsung users in the US, yep it is really awesome. You can say that the Note 20 is years ahead of the iPhone. But with the international (Exynos) version, now that's a different story. Until Samsung fixes this absurd issue, they will remain one of those phone manufacturers that I really don't trust.
Watching on my Note 20 Ultra! I love this phone, but there is one issue I cannot seem to fix. Is anyone else having wifi connectivity issues? Sometimes, the phone will be connected to the wifi but without internet. I know it isn't my internet because this issue is only when I'm using the Note 20 Ultra.
Why do Samsung not sort the notification problem with pictures included. When you get news sports or even some notifications without pictures, you can’t read the full message, 3 or 4 words. I love Samsung phones but the notifications always send me back to Apple. People don’t want to open apps on most notifications just to read them in full.
I don't think you realize how good samsung cameras are now. While very good, IPhone cameras haven't been indisputable kings for a while now. When you take that into account along with everything else mentioned in this video it's just no contest. Iphones shine because of their simplicity, some people want that so that's who iphone is for. But that simplicity also brings alot of limits. So Android phones have MUCH more customization, great cameras as well now, MUCH more features, AND you don't have to deal with all the limitations from Apple, well with all that it's clear to see which is the winner. Like I said though iphones have the whole simplicity thing going for them and they're not bad phones so if that's priority #1 for someone then they should get an iphone, it's just that they can do so much less and are limited with customization etc. And they're biggest advantage they had over Android (the camera) is a much closer battle now so when put head to head it's no contest. For me it's all about the always on display. That's the best thing since the notification light. As long as that feature is available. Samsung will always get my money. But Apple is not all bad, as I have to admit. I can't live without my IPad pro. So Apple wins on tablets.
Seems you were really struggling to find reasons, most of what you mention are just gimmicks. And about the notch, a hole punch is pretty much just as bad. The iPhone has better performance, a nicer screen and a much better OS. I'm a long time Samsung user by the way.
The note screen,battery,camera is better, it also feels way smoother because of the 120hz screen. Also I wouldnt want to miss being able to charge my headphones on the back of the device. Dex mode also really helps for school projects and I love drawing or sketching with the s pen
To me, the iPhone always look the same - they never do anything different - whereas, Samsung is innovative, changes things up and is a fantastic phone... I will never buy an iPhone...
The thing is though, a lot of people that buy the iPhone, including myself, are deep within the ecosystem. If you have a mac or iPad, the iPhone just goes hand in hand with it, and everything just integrates so smoothly. Also, people such as myself, aren't really requiring all the customizations and such that many android fans need. Whether I had an Android or iPhone, I just do basic stuff like text, social media, etc. All of which can be done on both devices. Everyone I know, from coworkers to family and friends, also use the iPhone so that further keeps me buried within the ecosystem. iMessage and FaceTime has a way to lock you in, again because of the integration between iOS, MacOS, and iPadOS. And it's all native and built right in without requiring 3rd party downloads. Hope that makes sense. lol

I am a note20U user but lets be honest here. Apple has very good cameras and the messenger is also very good. Samsung wins with 120hz plus 12gigs of ram, sd card slot, customization and the 865+ beats A14 in independent lab tests but the iphone 12 pro (max) is still an incredible phone. Technology has come so fast you can't go wrong with any flagship. Last thing which someone already said was artistic and many professionals use an eco system and lets face it, macs are macs. Welcome, brother ! I mistakenly sat my note5 in a cup of H2O for about ten minutes several years ago. A couple of days in rice and chilling out (R & R) and my grand child still uses it today! I knew Samsung had a beast in the note product then. To me, 🍎 Apple is a status symbol without substance. Apple cleverly indoctrinated its' followers from grade school. You didn't stand a chance. I've been using Samsung since the S3 and I'm now switching from the Note 9 to the 12 Pro Max. Out of all of the reasons he gave, the only valid one, in my opinon, is the bigger display with smaller bessels. And maybe the cheaper extra storage if you really need more than 128GB. -The S pen: yeah the s pen its cool for writing here and there, but unless you are an artist who draws a lot of sketches I don't believe it is a game changer. In the two years I have had with it I have rarely used it. Only an occasional note when I don't feel like typing. -Samsung Dex: most useless feature yet. Not even once have I used it. Most probably, if you can afford this phone you already have a computer. In the rare occasion that you might need a PC experience without having your's close by, you will also need to have a keyboard and a mouse for it to be really functional. And so, it defeats the whole purpose of being a portable PC experience. Reverse wireless charging: could be useful in a handful of occasions, but again, not really a game changer. What really is a game changer is the apple ecosystem. As a Samsung fan I didn't wanted to believe it, but after experience it on my girlfriend's phone I am now changing. It might also be that I got tired of android after so long and find the grass on the other side greener but who knows. I'm just stating my facts. I hope this may be informative for somebody else.
I got my AKG headset on Friday. The free ones you let us know about. I will use then when my beans die and needs to charge thanks for giving us the link to get them. The beans have a way better sound quality than the AKGs but they are not bad by any means.
iPhone only has 6gb of ram , half of what the ultra 20 has and yet the geekbench has the iPhone has it beat. Samsung has great hardware hands down and yet it has always been crippled by android on what’s its capable of.

correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt apple exclude the micro sd card slot on all their phones? that is so impractical. I know there is cloud storage but fyi that is not always a solution. for example, my wife and I went to Ireland for our honey moon and we had a Android phone with a memory card slot. we had 4 64 gb cards and we ended up filling them all with high quality pictures and videos. keep in mind we were in ireland so 4g was scarcely available and when it was available it was super slow. we couldn't sacrifice time waiting for these huge videos to upload. being able to swap memory cards was a freken huge save for our amazing trip. we captured alot of great memories. also the phone we were using had a removable battery which was also a huge honey moon saver. we simple kept swapping our 4 batteries keeping us filming and taking pics all day. the fact that most new android phones come with non removable batteries is a bummer to me but at a exchange of making phones water resistant I think it's well worth the sacrifice. I do tend to get my phone wet alot.
Great video and I’m sure the 20U is a great phone. I’ll be sticking with my iPhone tho. I’ve had both and it may have been bad luck but all Samsung phones I’ve had (10+) were absolute shit... sounds harsh but it’s true. I always felt like they where pushing for innovation TOO hard, yes each phone needs to be better than the last but i had such big soft and Hardware problems with Samsung that I’ve just never experienced with apple. Non of my Samsung’s lived past a year and a half. (5-7 h Daily use) Switched to the iPhone 8+ after over a decade of Samsung phones because everyone said that they are so much better and apple just sells the same crap every year. The way apple products work together, the sleek hard and software design and the fact that they don’t jump on every trend that other companies create are things that a smaller Basel and notch won’t be worth for me. I don’t need a pen and phones that have a foldable screens. I need something that works NOW. And apple has been able to do that way more than Samsung (like I said, at least for me and my friends that’s the case, I even have some friends switching over to apple this year because their 1-2 year old phones are on their third battery and need screen replacement. My iPhone 8+ has been going strong on 97% battery capacity, first screen (uncracked even tho I drop it all the time) and not once did it lag, restart or crash on me (unbelievable compared to the weekly breakdowns of my Samsung’s) since 2017!! I’ll be passing my baby on to my mom this year and upgrade to the 12 pro max even tho I wouldn’t even need to (use my phone as a camera tho so the 12 pro will be a Giant Update)

If i could buy the snapdragon in my country i would go for it...but we only get the exynos version. I have the note 10 plus, but i think the upgrade is not good enought with the exynos. This year i will go with 12 pro max, just because of the cameras and the apps arround them, also ios is very good. If you do alot of videos and edit them on the phone go with iphone.

I dont think this is a very educative video. #1 The notch can be rendered invisible if you double tap and just fill in the screen without the notch (which makes the video smaller) #2 The 120 hertz thing is not that common in 2020 flagships. #3 The note series are one of the only phones which use a stylus. #4 The tv is just really specific. Im sure only a handful of phones have this and if you ask me its useless. #5 The note 20 just doesnt have enough juice to power a phone even to 50%. You can charge your buds but at what cost? Ps. I got the s10 back in March and been happy with it since.
The Galaxy S10 is the last Samsung Flagship with a headphone jack, the newer flagships do not have them.
I remember attending a conference in Indy and we had to take a group photo. I used my Samsung S8's front cam, placed it at a good distance, and took a photo using hand gesture...and everyone in the room, mostly Iphone users, was in awe. They were shocked at what I just did with my phone.

Since Apple supports their devices, in some cases 5 plus years, you get more updates and basically a new phone each year. So price per performance definitely goes to iPhone.

Sadly, in the rest of the world, this device comes without 5G, less RAM, and with an Exynos CPU instead of the Snapdragon, which means subpar quality in performance, photos, and videos, compared with the US version. In my opinion, this is where Samsung fails, and why Apple always comes on top, especially the rest of the world. Because Samsung always releases different models everywhere, whereas Apple offers a single unified product that's easier for developers to work and optimize. In the end, it doesn't matter the design nor all the gimmicks a manufacturer adds to their devices. It always amounts to two things: 1. how smooth your device works in terms of performance, and 2. how good the pictures and videos look. And even with the admittedly lack of innovation of the current generation, Apple still excels in these two regards compared to any other manufacturer in the world.
That's why I dumped the S20 plus 5g.

I’ve gotten my Note 20 Ultra! I’m so far impressed by the feature set and S pen. However, I’m not impressed by the battery life (Here in Australia we get the Exynos model). At 120hz I’m an average getting around 3 hours - 4 hours of screen on time, and 2 hours of screen off time. While on my iPhone, I got around 8 hours of screen on time, and 2 hours of screen off time. I can’t say it’s a dealbreaker though, the freedom of android and the Note’s S pen and display completely makes up for its shortcomings.

For Samsung users in the US, yep it is really awesome. You can say that the Note 20 is years ahead of the iPhone. But with the international (Exynos) version, now that's a different story. Until Samsung fixes this absurd issue, they will remain one of those phone manufacturers that I really don't trust.
Watching on my Note 20 Ultra! I love this phone, but there is one issue I cannot seem to fix. Is anyone else having wifi connectivity issues? Sometimes, the phone will be connected to the wifi but without internet. I know it isn't my internet because this issue is only when I'm using the Note 20 Ultra.

Why do Samsung not sort the notification problem with pictures included. When you get news sports or even some notifications without pictures, you can’t read the full message, 3 or 4 words. I love Samsung phones but the notifications always send me back to Apple. People don’t want to open apps on most notifications just to read them in full.

I don't think you realize how good samsung cameras are now. While very good, IPhone cameras haven't been indisputable kings for a while now. When you take that into account along with everything else mentioned in this video it's just no contest. Iphones shine because of their simplicity, some people want that so that's who iphone is for. But that simplicity also brings alot of limits. So Android phones have MUCH more customization, great cameras as well now, MUCH more features, AND you don't have to deal with all the limitations from Apple, well with all that it's clear to see which is the winner. Like I said though iphones have the whole simplicity thing going for them and they're not bad phones so if that's priority #1 for someone then they should get an iphone, it's just that they can do so much less and are limited with customization etc. And they're biggest advantage they had over Android (the camera) is a much closer battle now so when put head to head it's no contest.

The note screen,battery,camera is better, it also feels way smoother because of the 120hz screen. Also I wouldnt want to miss being able to charge my headphones on the back of the device. Dex mode also really helps for school projects and I love drawing or sketching with the s pen

The thing is though, a lot of people that buy the iPhone, including myself, are deep within the ecosystem. If you have a mac or iPad, the iPhone just goes hand in hand with it, and everything just integrates so smoothly. Also, people such as myself, aren't really requiring all the customizations and such that many android fans need. Whether I had an Android or iPhone, I just do basic stuff like text, social media, etc. All of which can be done on both devices. Everyone I know, from coworkers to family and friends, also use the iPhone so that further keeps me buried within the ecosystem. iMessage and FaceTime has a way to lock you in, again because of the integration between iOS, MacOS, and iPadOS. And it's all native and built right in without requiring 3rd party downloads. Hope that makes sense. lol

I am a note20U user but lets be honest here. Apple has very good cameras and the messenger is also very good. Samsung wins with 120hz plus 12gigs of ram, sd card slot, customization and the 865+ beats A14 in independent lab tests but the iphone 12 pro (max) is still an incredible phone. Technology has come so fast you can't go wrong with any flagship. Last thing which someone already said was artistic and many professionals use an eco system and lets face it, macs are macs. Cheers all and enjoy whatever you use

not an apple fan boy but take an instagram story on your android and one on an iphone... it's day and night as instagram and other apps are more optimized for ios.... Mrwhostheboss made a great video about this. Thats why i switch after 8 years of android to ios.

I mistakenly sat my note5 in a cup of H2O for about ten minutes several years ago. A couple of days in rice and chilling out (R & R) and my grand child still uses it today! I knew Samsung had a beast in the note product then. To me, 🍎 Apple is a status symbol without substance. Apple cleverly indoctrinated its' followers from grade school. You didn't stand a chance. -_- I’m using both android and iOS and still prefer both no matter what better staff in android still iPhone beat android in other things one of the most things i like about iPhone is the apps compatibility with the device
The issue with android they can’t make an specific app for each android device so they makes app that works with every android which mean it’s going to be most apps better on IOS specially social media apps
I like android for the freedom but i also like iPhone more for the iMessage for the FaceTime for the keychain for the app compatibility for the longer life than android it uses less ram but still beat android device’s I got disappointed this year that they didn’t use 120 Hz still I like it hopefully next year they add 120 Hz
By the way i used to like Samsung but i guess i like Hawaii more and other Chinese brands on android

Note 20 all day! I too left apple after 10 years. I don't have the note 20 but I have the s20 Ultra and I'm so happy.
I've been using Samsung since the S3 and I'm now switching from the Note 9 to the 12 Pro Max.
Out of all of the reasons he gave, the only valid one, in my opinon, is the bigger display with smaller bessels. And maybe the cheaper extra storage if you really need more than 128GB.
-The S pen: yeah the s pen its cool for writing here and there, but unless you are an artist who draws a lot of sketches I don't believe it is a game changer. In the two years I have had with it I have rarely used it. Only an occasional note when I don't feel like typing.
-Samsung Dex: most useless feature yet. Not even once have I used it. Most probably, if you can afford this phone you already have a computer. In the rare occasion that you might need a PC experience without having your's close by, you will also need to have a keyboard and a mouse for it to be really functional. And so, it defeats the whole purpose of being a portable PC experience.
Reverse wireless charging: could be useful in a handful of occasions, but again, not really a game changer.
What really is a game changer is the apple ecosystem. As a Samsung fan I didn't wanted to believe it, but after experience it on my girlfriend's phone I am now changing. It might also be that I got tired of android after so long and find the grass on the other side greener but who knows. I'm just stating my facts.

I got my AKG headset on Friday. The free ones you let us know about. I will use then when my beans die and needs to charge thanks for giving us the link to get them. The beans have a way better sound quality than the AKGs but they are not bad by any means.

iPhone only has 6gb of ram , half of what the ultra 20 has and yet the geekbench has the iPhone has it beat. Samsung has great hardware hands down and yet it has always been crippled by android on what’s its capable of.

@@ianc9358 Interesting that the iphone has only 6GB of ram but outperforms the entire samsung range even using the A13 (last gen) chip though, the a14 makes the samsung devices look very silly. To be honest, its a pointless argument now, you buy what you want, the iphone has better chip (by a very long way and well proven) its got a better camera (the photographers that do reviews also back this up) and the iphone isnt as delicate as a samsung. Samsung screens break from tiny taps and always have. Gotta be honest, only ad idiot would buy a samsung and pay so much more for a device that oneplus or oppo make better, for less money. No im not an apple fan boy, but ive been let down by samsung too many times to trust them again, i cant say my next phone will be an iphone, but i can promise it wont be a samsung.

correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt apple exclude the micro sd card slot on all their phones? that is so impractical. I know there is cloud storage but fyi that is not always a solution. for example, my wife and I went to Ireland for our honey moon and we had a Android phone with a memory card slot. we had 4 64 gb cards and we ended up filling them all with high quality pictures and videos. keep in mind we were in ireland so 4g was scarcely available and when it was available it was super slow. we couldn't sacrifice time waiting for these huge videos to upload. being able to swap memory cards was a freken huge save for our amazing trip. we captured alot of great memories. also the phone we were using had a removable battery which was also a huge honey moon saver. we simple kept swapping our 4 batteries keeping us filming and taking pics all day. the fact that most new android phones come with non removable batteries is a bummer to me but at a exchange of making phones water resistant I think it's well worth the sacrifice. I do tend to get my phone wet alot.
Great video and I’m sure the 20U is a great phone. I’ll be sticking with my iPhone tho. I’ve had both and it may have been bad luck but all Samsung phones I’ve had (10+) were absolute shit... sounds harsh but it’s true. I always felt like they where pushing for innovation TOO hard, yes each phone needs to be better than the last but i had such big soft and Hardware problems with Samsung that I’ve just never experienced with apple. Non of my Samsung’s lived past a year and a half. (5-7 h Daily use) Switched to the iPhone 8+ after over a decade of Samsung phones because everyone said that they are so much better and apple just sells the same crap every year. The way apple products work together, the sleek hard and software design and the fact that they don’t jump on every trend that other companies create are things that a smaller Basel and notch won’t be worth for me. I don’t need a pen and phones that have a foldable screens. I need something that works NOW. And apple has been able to do that way more than Samsung (like I said, at least for me and my friends that’s the case, I even have some friends switching over to apple this year because their 1-2 year old phones are on their third battery and need screen replacement. My iPhone 8+ has been going strong on 97% battery capacity, first screen (uncracked even tho I drop it all the time) and not once did it lag, restart or crash on me (unbelievable compared to the weekly breakdowns of my Samsung’s) since 2017!! I’ll be passing my baby on to my mom this year and upgrade to the 12 pro max even tho I wouldn’t even need to (use my phone as a camera tho so the 12 pro will be a Giant Update)

If i could buy the snapdragon in my country i would go for it...but we only get the exynos version. I have the note 10 plus, but i think the upgrade is not good enought with the exynos. This year i will go with 12 pro max, just because of the cameras and the apps arround them, also ios is very good. If you do alot of videos and edit them on the phone go with iphone.

I like both and I was curious of changing to Samsung as a daily driver.. But isn’t Samsung like $400 more? And no headphone jack? I love the whole apple eco system. iMac, watch and phone. Works flawless together.

I dont think this is a very educative video. #1 The notch can be rendered invisible if you double tap and just fill in the screen without the notch (which makes the video smaller) #2 The 120 hertz thing is not that common in 2020 flagships. #3 The note series are one of the only phones which use a stylus. #4 The tv is just really specific. Im sure only a handful of phones have this and if you ask me its useless. #5 The note 20 just doesnt have enough juice to power a phone even to 50%. You can charge your buds but at what cost? Ps. I use a motorola
