- We are still live for pledges from the general public in my 2024 case against Sade and Sony at Crowdjustice www.crowdjusti...
Please support my case so that justice can be served in the courts and I can regain the rights to my music performances stolen from me in 1983 by all concerned.
This is the original version of the song Cherry Pie recorded by Lee Barrett the bands manager at Solid Light Studios, Camden, London in 1982. The band features all the original Sade band members eg: Paul Cooke, Paul Denman, Stuart Mathewman and Helen Adu. PSP (Paul, Stuart and Paul) were the band that produced all of the singers music in Pride and then when the manager sacked members of Pride, he formed Sade taking the name from the singers middle African, Helen Folasade Adu, etc. The band Pride used to take one of the backing singers in this case Helen Adu and use them to work on a solo song as a part of the act, in this case with the song Cherry Pie it was the turn of the singer Helen Adu (Sade) to front the scaled down band PSP, eventually the smaller band PSP featured in Pride then became Sade after Jack Stevens at RCA suggested the singer be pulled out of Pride. The photographs are owned by drummer Paul Cooke and are taken of the band at Ronnie Scotts club and in London and also when the band Pride visited NYC to play the Danceteria Club in 1982. The singer Helen Adu took further control of the PSP productions with her company Angel Prop Ltd in August 1983 and then sold the RCA paid for masters to CBS Records as RCA turned her down for a recording contract. Helen Adu started her career as Sade with her solo contract on the 19th October 1983 and she removed Paul Anthony Cooke in January 1984 as he objected to her solo deal. This being the subject of three court actions in 1995, 2009 and 2024. Paul Anthony Cooke the drummer in PSP has still not being compensated for his work whilst in PSP on behalf of the singer at that time and she refuses to acknowledge his contribution to her work from 1983 onwards?
