I’ve always used a cotton pad. I’ve never done it just using my 🙌 will definitely give that a try 😊

It definitely works great without a cotton pad, and nowadays, it is not really necessary, as modern cleansers effectively remove dirt, sweat, oil, makeup, and sunscreen from the skin.

@@athenamaurer9404 I just looked at your avatar, haha! 😄 So, you grew up with Paula's Choice. I still like their formulations a lot, as they blend smoothly into the skin. However, they have become very pricey here, and nowadays there are great, affordable competitors that seem to work just as well. Have you tried any others yet?

@@athenamaurer9404 Oh wow! 😀 She was also my first guide to "honest" skincare, but about 20 years later, now I think it has turned a bit. Since she is gone, it doesn't feel quite the same anymore. Anyway, it's just the price that turns me off, but still great formulations. What products/brands were you looking at?

      Hey! :)
I guess that you are using a tinted sunscreen.
Usually mineral sunscreens have a bit of a tint in it to reduce a white cast.
Yes, mineral sunscreens are recommended for sensitive skin since they are less likely to irritate sensitive skin.
Paula's Choice Vitamin C can help to reduce hyperpigmentation on the skin surface and the sunscreen protects the skin to prevent new ones.

Hallo, can u advice me. I have oily skin with lots of sebum+ hyperpigmentation/ acne scars. Wich BHA can u recommand me? Heard van tiktok video lots of good comments about Revox Alpha arbutin ?
    What do u think?
Am curruntly using G&G products range only.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Nowadays, these BHA serums are very similar, so you will have the same experience (performance vice) if they are in the same pH range as they usually are. I do not see any need to change it. You can go with G&G. They do not offer an Alpha Arbutin, so there you need to use another brand; I also assume that they have similar performance, so use the one you think works best. I personally like The Ordinary products most, as their formulations are very simple and the quality+price is excellent.

      Hey!
      Your routine looks great!
However, I do want to add; please make sure that you adjust the frequency when using Paula's Choice 2% BHA and that you can use Paula's Choice Benzoyl Peroxide Gel daily (if that's fine for your skin) whenever you get active breakouts.
Also, you may just want to use the Peeling Solution once per week or even less often.

As always...watching..but not always giving a reaction..... I , personally, find it applying so much sunscreen at once just to heavy...? I like to layer it... I know it make take some time but I will like to know... so far... what your application method is( regardless of it is chemical, mineral or the SPF)..... sorry, I just realized this video is about BHA'S... 😐...

      Hey Manuel :)
Yes, you told me this already. If you prefer to layer, go ahead and do it! :) There is nothing wrong with it. What's important is the amount of sunscreen that you are using so that you can evenly apply it all over :)
