Garry Here is the trick . when i have a battery which won't take any charge i do this : Take two knives place a good charged battery & the 0 volt one side by side & connect them parallely + with + & - with - using the knives for about 15 secs. This will wakeup the weak battery .Now it will take the charge with any charger.
Yes I do the same - but so much easier for the charger to effectively do it for you. Can't think why this n-step idea has not been offered before. Same problem with intelligent (sic) 12v lead acid battery chargers, I have to boost flat ones to about 8v before the charger will accept it. This deep discharge happens often when you use them on electric fence units for horse paddocks etc.
garry if you have a cheap battery charger just put the null battery's in it for a few minutes it will get them out of the null position that will solve you problem not ideal but it works
Brilliant, extremely helpful review. Have been pondering for ages on which charger to buy and nearly (but thankfully not quite) bought the Youshiko on Amazon. Luckily your comparison of both the Y and the Technoline BL700N clearly illustrated the potential issues and showed the Y up for what it was - an inferior product. Cheaper, yes, but in the long run the Technoline should prove worth it's extra cost. Have just plumped for the T-BL700N on Amazon and am hoping it will be as effective as you have shown. Thanks for taking the time to point out such an important difference and posting such a helpful video. Best wishes to you - Karlo, Manchester UK
Hey there 👋 still happy with your BC 700? I own this model since 2011, and I was really happy with it… Now the first channel stopped working. I will purchase this charger again, but I would be interested if you have similar problems? Greetings from Germany Christian
i made the mistake of buying a Youshiko YC4000 last year and i just assumed my envelope pros broke on me. is there any way of getting a little bit of charge in them with out spending another £30

No, the Technoline BL700N is superior to the La Crosse charger: it's the internals and programming that matter. Maybe Technoline copied the casing, because at least La Crosse got that bit right. I used the Le Crosse BC-9009 for years, and got it out the other day to remind myself why I stopped using it. The memories came flooding back. I had grown to hate it. I wouldn't even sell it to some poor victim on ebay now. The problem was: it would destroy batteries due to its buggy programming that caused channels to lock up whilst charging. If I went out for the day, I'd return to the display frozen, and the battery in question toasty hot due to overcharging. Sometimes more than one channel would lock up. This eventually destroyed my batteries, which defeated the purpose of having an expensive, supposedly high-quality charger. Whilst the Technoline BL700 was only slightly better, the BL700N is perfect in my view. Put an oscilloscope on one for the duration of a discharge/charge cycle, and you will see its magic. I have four BL700N's now, and just ordered another two. They revive batteries that have been neglected, lost and forgotten about for years, raising their performance to above manufacturer-specified ratings (except for GP, who over-rate their batteries to start with). Give the La Crosse charger the same batteries, and it will quite likely fry them. The number of chargers I've owned over the years, you wouldn't believe! I even designed and built my own. I'm glad I found the BL700N though. I can stop the relentless search now.
I disagree with this product review, I have technoline BL700 charger and if a battery is completely flat, it won't charge for sure, I bought my charger from Amazon only around 2 weeks ago for £31.99, I guess all intelligent battery charger are the same, they don't charge complete fat batteries.
leahcim38 that’s what I said as that’s the model I have. Said it above. Am sure I did as reading my previous post it says that. I’ll have a review of it on my channel soon as I review all my stuff.
Now put the good batteries in, now the flat ones, then the good, NOW the flat, good, flat, good flat, I fell asleep watching that. You could have done that review in 5 minutes not 9.

Put flat battery in place and touch the negative of a charged battery on the negative tab on the charger and link the positive’s on the on the charged battery and the charger with a paper clip for a few seconds to get it to start charging.
Thank you kind sir for these two comparison videos. You helped me decide which one to purchase.

Brilliant. I did similar with two 2p pieces. worked a treat. thanks for the tip
Helpful vid, thank you.
Are they not both a rip off of the La Crosse BC900?

@@CrowPal It is good.. don't worry yourself .. i'm more concerned they changed the voice actor on Solar Opposites
@@mrfeenix1 Not worried. Just happy I found the charger I was looking for all these years.

by the sounds of it you have the old model 700, the newer 700n will charge flat batteries
Totally wright! To charge completely flat batteries you need the newer BL 700N model witch works great :)

The BL700N will recharge a flat battery. The older BL700 won’t.
