    73-4 had the option of a flip up
    Window 😁 I’ve gotta get a blazer and a 79 bronco too. I’m thinking about gmade buffalo’s and just get a bronco body for one of them.

      Oh thank you I did not know that about the window. Square bodies have so many special details and options! I’ve got a GS02F I have yet to try out🤙

    Thank you so much for explaining when no one else would, on how you mounted this particular body on the scx10 ii. I bought the "Raw Builders Kit" version of it, and if i would have known, Iwould have bought the same hard body. Do you know if I could mount the RC4WD blazer body on an HPI Venture SBK?
    I subscribed to you your channel. 😁

      It's mostly possible to put the Blaxer on any chassis with enough effort. I don't offer mounts for the HPI so you would have to figure that part out, but otherwise the process would be pretty similar.

    Ever thought about doing a scx10III ? I’m thinking about getting the gladiator kit, forward mounted motor with a scale motor cover, dig, over/under drive. Then putting this same K5 hardbody on it. Thoughts? Would your body mounts work? I think the 10III has different running boards.

      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry our 10.2 mounts are not designed to work with 10.3.

    I'm thinking to mount a RC4WD Blazer Hardbody on a SCX 10 III. I know your bodymounts are designed for a 10.2, but with custom work it should fit also. Btw, the tires are not to tiny, they are very realistic and gives the car a more scale look. For my taste all the crawlers have overdimensioned tires.

    Do you by chance make the mounts for that body to go onto a scx10.3?

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      She just needs to grab Vanquish VS410 mounts for Blazer, they are same for all the Vanquish chassis. There's a couple things you will need to do, like smaller tires, and rear links from an Axial 10.2 (11.4 wheelbase). You can cut the rear drive shaft to shorten it. You'll be doing some interior trimming as well, and cutting holes for the rear shock towers. Check out my video on Vanquish 4runner, all the things you will need to do are very similar. You can always write to me with questions. th-cam.com/video/lxKz7r0GHtk/w-d-xo.html

      @@YUNGHENNEY Hi you will need shorter rear links, Use rod ends (AX31186), upper links (AX31421), lower links (AX31419), and set screws (AX31343) to get a 11.4" wheelbase. Or you can make custom rear links, I have a video here: th-cam.com/video/Xarp2kymeVQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NiY200-mryIsOWMB

    That is a great looking rig. All of your builds are actually. You mentioned would not do a cantilever setup. I am curious on your con's vs pro's on them. Have a good one man!

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The main reason people seem to get cantilevers is to avoid cutting holes in the bed because it doesnt look stock. But to my eye, cantilevers look even more out of place. So looks alone is enough almost for me. To be fair, I haven't tried them myself but it seems like most people I know who try them find them to be "floppy" and wind up taking them off anyway. So I've never tried them but never say never haha. By the way I don't think there's any wrong way to do it if you are having fun!

    • @JakeHinds
      @JakeHinds ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shrinkrc So holes in the bed is unavoidable even with your body mounting kit? With all due respect, why get the kit then? Thanks!

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JakeHinds The point of the kit is to be able to easily mount the body on any chassis you want (Axial, Element, Traxxas , Vanquish etc.). Its not my fault the rear shock towers are there hahaha! You would have to place the body ridiculously high to clear the shock towers. There are several options to avoid cutting holes tho, like cantilever setups or simply using shorter shocks which are attached to the frame or to short shock towers. You could also hide the shock towers with an ice chest and a toolbox for example. The RC4WD TF2 chassis (which the body was originally designed for) uses much shorter shocks, so it does not require holes for example....but it is a leaf spring chassis which performs differently from a 4 link setup with real shocks. I have holes for rear shock towers on most of my trucks, it doesnt bother me. There are long travel 1:1 trucks that have holes for tall shock towers as well.

    Hey will these work on the Injora 90046 and 90047 rock crawler chassiss? These two are scx10 and scx0ii clones.

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They will bolt to the clone chassis rails, but the axles might not line up right without changing links. The clones sometimes use different link lengths than the original.

    • @scottfordbrewer4380
      @scottfordbrewer4380 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shrinkrc what would your suggestion be as for the links?

    • @shrinkrc
      @shrinkrc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scottfordbrewer4380 I would suggest a complete set of axial 10.2 links, front and back. The reason it’s an issue is that on a genuine axial, 12.3 inch wheelbase, the front links are shorter than the rear links. The clones cheat…and make the front links the same length as the rear links, so the front links are a little bit too long, and the rear links are a little bit too short. If you are shortening the wheelbase for a blazer, you’re already going to need new rear links anyway.
