And please, choose another color to this model! Every commercial, ads and pictures has the same Osmium gray metallic. I want to see the V90 CC in either Onyx black metallic or the new Denim blue.

I have a 20-year old Volvo 850 estate. The Volvo V90 Cross Country will be my next car. In my opinon, it looks better than any other brand outside or inside.
My man AJ, You're so sharp now in your presentation. Super congratulations. Love the Volvo but just ordered my 2017 Audi A6 Sline with full spec ( ACC, biturbo, night vision..) Autogefuhl helped so much in my picking of options. I had to go thru many past videos to have it right. especially where Thomas give advice of what not to take.

V90 CC Pro Ocean Race. Very accurate review, in my opinion. I love the Ocean Race and the V90 and previously owned Audi Allroad. The V90 CC is a lovely place to be and with all the safety features, owning one is a no brainier, both as a great urban and distance vehicle. I easily get 45mpg local mileage and 53mpg on a run. Best car I have owned.
Note considering the AWD: The V90 Cross Country has flexible All Wheel Drive that is active at all speeds when the vehicle realizes slip at one of the wheels. Usually the vehicle is Front Wheel Drive, on demand the torque is distributed 50/50. The offroad mode closes the clutch disk so that up to a speed of 40 km/h the torque is always distributed to all four wheels.
Autogefühl Why can't it be four wheel drive all the time when in off road mode?

Hinweis zum Allradantrieb: Der V90 Cross Crountry hat einen flexiblen Allradantrieb, der bei allen Geschwindigkeiten aktiv wird, sobald Schlupf erkannt wird. Im Normalbetrieb ist das Fahrzeug ein Fronttriebler, bei Bedarf wird die Kraft bis 50:50 verteilt.
Der Offroad-Modus beinhaltet die Schließung der Lamellen-Kupplung, so dass bis 40 km/h immer die Kraft direkt auf alle vier Räder verteilt wird.
I have a v90 and if you don't want to use the touch screen you can use your voice to adjust almost everything in the car 😀

Only 4-cylinder engine line-up reminded me of Saab somehow. One of the nicest looking properly designed station wagon. Cabin is very simple with a serene and almost homely atmosphere.

I like how you promote non-animal skin fabrics like leatherette. I personally love leather seats but more manufacturers should offer alternatives for people who don't. You don't need leather to be luxurious anymore.

Great review as usual. I like how you guys always test out the pressure sensors of tailgate. I think one time an E class wagon tried to chop off Thomas' arms!
Quick question: Is the optional air suspension on all four wheels? I read somewhere it's only for the rear for loading purposes?
Yes indeed, Volvo does only offer air suspension for the rear axle with S/V90... to keep the niveau at the same level no matter the loading

This is dependable. I will take range rover over this if I live in snow belt, which I am, and I can afford the maintenance fee of range rover.
But you forget, the Range Rover will spend half its life either in the dealership being repaired or dead by the side of the road. Sure its a beautiful car to sit in, but they are supposed to move as well.
That is absolutely true. LR reliability (& infamous cost of maintenance) is as fragile as a piece of glass hitting a concrete floor.
Simon White Have you ever seen the Top Gear Bolivia Special episode? It proves that the range rover doesn't breakdown easily and the land cruiser with it's famous reliability breakdown all the time. Jezza was driving the RR, Hammond was driving LC, James was driving a Suzuki, and they were bought with the same price

Just bougth this weekend V90 Cross Country D4 Polestar Incription Amazing car.
I wonder if we could order the XC with an R grille and badgeless at the back.
I love these cars, would like to see the T6 version on this snow track.
What happened to the close up shot? You need to review your shooting strategy. What makes you separate from the others, was that the camera would follow Thomas with close up details being shown and mentioned and they can be felt because the details of the cars can be seen. This however is lazy and it makes you just like other car channels. You need that close up shot handheld. Get a camera stabilizer and get the shot for the front grill and tires with follow up shot. The pan shots are lazy and make you ordinary. You can have all the pan shot at the start of the review to give a big picture of the car. The reason why we love the 45 min reviews were because we felt like Thomas was giving a guiding tour of the car with the good, the bad and the solutions to the bad. Telling us how the buttons felt and so on. This however feels Americanized. Thomas, compare your white Mercedes coupe video with this one and you will see the difference. I mean you even found the hanging cables tucked in the back seat. That was amazing. Please reconsider and do some test shot to see how you can bring back the old flavor back. Thank you.
Hm, great that you like our passion for details, but I am not exactly sure what you mean, so you dont want a separate close up while talking but a second shot after the general talking?
+Autogefühl I am saying that you need close up shot when he is pointing out details about the cars like you used to do. Less wide shot and pan during the tour. The beginning can have the wide shots with pan as the introduction of the car. But once he starts showing parts of the car, testing the build quality of the car handle, we want the camera close like you used to do. It's like you are saying "come here I want one show you something". At least that's the way I felt. For instance when he was talking about the grill, the engine, the tire, I couldn't really see what they looked like.

Autogefühl For yourself? What engine? I'm planning on going with D4 AWD or T8 AWD. We get a good tax reduction in Finland for the T8, so leasing prices differ by only like 150-200 euros between those models. Would really like the electric motor in traffic jams, parking and slow pebbled city streets that we have quite much in Helsinki.

Probably because of youtube's compression or something.
Petter Vosveld they have the exact same screens, it's the video compression and anything with computers, leds, computer screens looks strange on film due to the frame rate
Stopped watching after ALL-Touchscreen controls.. Hate those things, very distractive during driving.
Still gave thumbs-up because I like the channel
If you have one it is not that distractive at all. It really is nice and thought through.

Please test the V90 CC with the T6 engine and with different metallic color. Just pick any color but gray metallic. Every commercial, ads and photos, this model is always in grey metallic.

What to chose between Volvo v90 cross country or mercedes e class E220D , as both goes to almost same price after configuration!
Both cars have a great ride for sure. Have you checked both review in full length? They offer extensive guidance. The E-Class offers more choices for seat surfaces (fabric, leatherette, AMG microfibre/leatherette mix), that would be important to me
ON the configuration Site it says you can't have Heads up
and heated Windows at the Same time..

Hi, with the new design style I miss the old rooted design from the old Volvo's. Less cool and more ambient unfortunately.
Having a family with three kids I would love to see something bigger hence considering a new Landrover Discovery. More image and stronger performance

In Europe always including VAT, US without VAT, thats why prices in the US always appear cheaper

Great looking car, but I nearly spat my tea out when you took both hands off the wheel while traffic's coming the other way. On any public road for that matter.

Not a torqueconverter auto, it is a dual clutch. And the awd does work over 40 kph. Except that, great review.
The Volvo V90 Cross Country is only available with Geartronic = torque converter. Dual clutch at Volvo is named Powershift
Autogefühl Sorry, but that isnt so any more. Entire 90-series and spa plattform has the same dual cluth. Read up on it or ask Thomas :)

Nice looking vehicle. Not sure why you might buy a wagon ("estate ") when you could get a taller SUV.
Nothing frivolous about the whole in the interior at all (...) the seats are also leather, but it has so many functions, including massaging :P
These cars need front camera when climbing to see whats happening in front of the car.
they have 360 view with front camera:)
Anyway, pity that there's nothing more than 4cyl.
It should have a V12.
whatever, except boring 4cyl.
Think about the Environment! And the fuel economy...
Boring, you say? The T6 is the best engine they've made so far. It's top of the class.
If the top 320hp isnt enough, just chiptune it to around 380hp, its less than $1000.
