BEYOND proud of this woman. To be 800 pounds and drop all that weight is a pure blessing. I just wanna hug her so badly. Depression can literally cause food addictions and she actually beat it ! Super proud. And she looks amazing !
I remember that episode. I wanted to strangle this woman because she wasn't trying and i felt so sorry for her daughters because she was so dependant on them. I felt like she was taking their lives away. I'm glad to see that she finally got it together.

She was a hot mess on the show. I’m really surprised. She was so manipulative and difficult but clearly she got her stuff together.
Angela Anagho TV She was broken and ill. Her comfort and security blanket was being taken away. All of that behavior was normal. That’s why the doctor is harsh with them. He knows the reactions are normal and the family gives in. It doesn’t mean that deep down she really wants help. Her reactions were rooted in fear.

I find this woman enormously inspiring. Watching her episode, I was totally surprised that she succeeded after all. She had one of the roughest starts to ever be featured on the show, and the journey overall was a turbulent one. A lot of that had to do with her own attitude, but what she was going through on the show was a radical shift in her way of eating and life. It couldn't have been easy.
In this clip, she is right to say that sometimes a person's journey is not strictly for self, but also for the benefit of other people. Her journey was bigger than her and proof that one can overcome anything with faith and hard work.
I'm so happy that Mala lost the way and she found her way and she's continuing to find her way because food is like a drug you're never safe because you can get it anywhere so can you get drugs anywhere but we need to take it as an addiction there is no pill out there that's going to pull us away from food there is no potion not even exercise could pull us away from food so please remember the food is an addiction there's so many addictions out here today some good some bad but fine the way to teach people that you shouldn't cook with a lot of fats and oils that you shouldn't eat a pound of candy because people are not listening and unfortunately some people have some bad experiences that make them go to food for comfort this is 2019 why can doctors I know that this is an addiction you go to the doctor every two or three months either you creep up a few pounds or you lose a few pounds and then turn around and put it back on EE it's an addiction please it is an addiction you can't take a wrapped it's an animal the prove but he or she is going to find the food we are not right we could eat whatever we want to eat because all we have to do is go to the store come back and cook it or either even faster we can order it from a restaurant so stop treating people who are overweight bike wheel rattle experiments food is an addiction and we need to have a place to go to maybe for a month or we check in every two weeks we go to I would doctor and find out why how come what for and how we can break this addiction just like any other addiction because I find drugs and food about in the same category because it makes some of us feel better because food is a drug to the overweight person or the morbidly obese person it's a drug and it's a drug of choice and you can get it anywhere
This was television show and I know it was real but when you see your relatives your friends your job Buddy's that they just go to lunch and they just eat up whatever the restaurant is offering and you can't say anything to them too much because they think that you're hating I'm not skinny but I don't waste 2 or 300 lb if you tell them don't eat corn cornbread butter speckled beans or meatloaf together they don't understand that they think corn is a vegetable so it's hard to explain nutrition to people if you do they turn you off it's like people don't believe in God if they don't want to hear it don't turn to another conversation don't cut you off so when you see that you leave them alone and go on about your life because they really don't believe my mother fed me like this my grandmother fed me like this my mother had diabetes she had her leg amputated she had kidney disease she had heart disease my father had it matter fact my whole family had it this is what people are saying because sometime when they go to the doctor the doctor say all you have this. Oneonta I'll give you a pill and which one of my doctors said to me yes o medication have side effects we all have to get into a better mode that means the medical and whatever else is out there instead of us always taking a pill with side effects we have to get into people's head and educate because there's so many people that don't eat vegetables and I mean when you have a good piece of fruit good apple blueberries wow put it on my cereal I don't mean to Sugar sweet cereal and I'm in heaven now I'm not a skinny woman but I try to educate myself and I'm not against large woman on large bone or big bone or whatever they call it today has so many names we all have to get into a better mode that means the medical and whatever else is out there instead of us always taking a pill with side effects we have to get into people's head and educate because there's so many people that don't eat vegetables and I mean when you have a good piece of fruit or good apple of blueberries wow put it on my cereal I don't mean to sugar sweet cereal and I'm in heaven now I'm not a skinny woman but I tried to educate myself and I'm not against large woman all large bone or big bone or whatever they call it today is so many names or fat and fabulous whatever it is not being it may not bother us now at the young age of 18 or 30 but as we get older it may start to hurt our legs hour bones all together so you know let's try to cut down on things so that we can help ourselves

This speaks volumes to me I have thyroid issues that play apart in my weight gain and struggling to maintain a diet. So proud of Marla seeing her makes me smile so big because her episode was indeed an inspiration and motivation!

I was looking add a television program just recently and they were talkin about food addiction I was looking at a television program just recently and they were talking about food and addiction and now they come to the reality that food yes we have to have it but it's an addiction also when you over eat and they put drug addicts away and you can always get drugs now because it's coming from left right and all around but food you can go and sit down and a restaurant and over eat we don't need daughter took all these years for doctors nutritionist Tonneau that is a behavior Act and that people who overeat need to learn how to cook how to have substitutes well hunger either we need to be put away and when I say put away is put away to clinics or in clinics where we can learn how to eat we can learn how to put food away and out of our minds because some people could eat at 1 and 1:30 to talk thinking about eating something else and I mean a whole 3 course meal soul food please is an addiction and people who are addicted to it it needs to be help for them instead of making another pill that might hurt us just pulling away from food learning how to pull away from food
Happy for Marla on her physical transformation...I hope she had an attitudinal transformation also...I still heard some narcissistic tones in her voice.

I'm happy that you where able to over come the abusive relationship. I also was in an abusive relationship. I was shot when I tried to leave my x. I also was 7 mo. pregnant. The bullet passed through my shoulder almost got me in the head. It was a very close call for me and my unborn child. I chose another drug of choice dealing with the abuse also all the issues I tried to forget with my addiction. I'm very happy for you. You are a strong woman I knew you were going to make it.

Wow! Yah bless her for taking the leap of faith to make those changes. @MinisterOfWellness talks about food addiction all the time but he educates you on how to make those changes. We, as blacks, need to make these changes because we are dying from heart disease at an alarming rate, not to mention the rise in diabetes in our children. So happy to see this sister's results!
