- Explore cell signaling with the Amoeba Sisters! This introductory video describes vocabulary such as ligand and receptor. It includes the stages of cell signaling (reception, transduction, and response) and different types of signaling including autocrine, paracrine, and endocrine. I remember watching you in science class last year.
So amazing how much plan and organization, how complex the schema is compacted into one sperm and ovum. And we don't even know the whole of it yet. Biochemistry is the most exciting science of our day in my opinion. If you compare just what we saw in this video to the equivalent in business systems or government systems, biology dwarfs them by far!
