Appreciate the video… I had already had purchased the kit prior to having seen this video…unfortunately my good friend who was going to help install the kit unexpectedly passed away, so things were put on pause a bit. I am looking forward to installation.
Dope installation vid guys🔥🔥 this makes me way more confident in getting the same kit. Already have injectors and pump running e85 rn along with headers and other supporting mods. Definitely gonna pick up this kit within the next couple months🤝
I always enjoy real garage builds. 99% of guys don’t have big shops with unlimited tools or budgets. You did excellent work, and gave credit to the guys who you referenced when you didn’t know how something went together. #Tipshat
This was great did a good job with the install and troubleshooting, now just need some custom bent a/c lines. had me hyped for the first start.... now just need to do this to my 03 350z. subbed
ur pretty chill cause some of these other car people they just get mad at their subbers for just asking question like kids and other people r just trying to learn
That’s dope I got a 04 and want to boost bad. Did you do anything to the internals to prep it? I’m thinking bout getting a new motor first since mine has 190k miles. Great video by the way.
I have an 04 Z - I just put a 60k mile motor in it & I have a 2nd hand procharger im preparing to install. My z had 193000 miles / too scared to boost that
Compression test it. Needs to be better than 185 across all cylinders and less than 10% variance between them. Also do leakdown and look out for any cylinders with a significantly higher percentage than the rest
Damn, so glad you made this video lmao installing this kit soon and this is easily the best video on it! Two questions if you don't mind: 1) I have stock exhaust with a muffler delete. I had ordered test pipes but I understand there's only one pipe (downpipe) that comes down from the turbo. Where does that connect? And do you even got to keep the Y pipe? 2) Can you run the Uprev tune permanently? I live like 4 hours from RZG and would much rather do Uprev remotely than trailer 4 hours to RZG haha
The downpipe will connect to your existing catback/ exhaust so you won’t need test pipes or a y pipe. As far as the tune rzg does e tunes so you should be fine for tunning. Appreciate the feedback and hope it helps!
@@str86ix26 Okay awesome, thank you a ton man! Build looks awesome. This video alone convinced me to try the install myself rather than paying someone so thanks so much🙏 Excited to see more!
Great video!, just fyi when you need to clamp the electrical cables, use the back of the plier (not where you cut cable, but further back, behind the plier) you see there is a flat dented part... that is for doing this... it will give you more strenght for that porpuse... Hope it helps Regards!!!
Can you do a break down of how much it all cost? Was the kit worth it? Would you go with a different ecu setup? Thanks for uploading this. Always wanted to try this kit.
I know you guys used the rtv on header and cross over pipe. But the pipe that the v bands clamps go on was rtv and a gasket put there? Sorry just a little confused. Great video by the way
@st86ix i have watched this video maybe 50 times, while im installing my kit. The only thing here you don't really show is how you got the 2 piece downpipe together, I have big hands and getting both of them together and clamped seems soooo hard. Do you remember how you went about connecting the two downpipe pieces
Hey bro, I have 2003 g35 and I was wondering what you had to do to log your pulls. And did the wideband sensor(s) replace any of the oem sensors? I'm stuck right now on what to do.
For me the tuner recommend I take a vid of the afr and send it to them. I ended up adding a bung for the wideband gauge closer to the turbo . I’d honestly recommend switching to a 2004+ harness and ecu. It would eliminate a lot of the tuning issues since the 03’s only have narrow band sensors.
Nice vid man ! I noticed 198k on the dash , how’s the motor holding up since being boosted ? Are those original miles ? Interested in boosting mine is at 192k lol
I have the same exact thing I have planned for mine but I am going to custom fabricate a front facing intake for my turbo on my g35 I have one question what mods were needed prior to installing it cooling wise?
Change all the flange fam. Thank me later, those shit soon or later will leak. I got those kits but modified everything when came to realize shit can't hold. I put at about 15lbs made 573wheels 485torques. Bumping it up soon.
@@str86ix26 All the hot side V-band flange and clamp. Flange and clamp came together anyways. You notice those Chinese old version cheap flange is flat surface? You don't want that kind. You want new version kind of flange that seal proper. Example of link below. I forgot the exact size of flange so remeasure the existing ones and order the right size. Link below is for example quality flange amzn.to/3lrZdra
So I can do everything mechanically but know absolutely nothing about tuning, can any tuner send me any base map and I can start my car and drive it or do I still have to bring it to them? (Ik this is old but worth a shot)
Honestly the kit is good for the price and it is still holding up as long as u do ur basic supporting cooling mods, and have a solid safe tune and keep the boost low at max 8psi u should be good
For just around 500 subs this is amazing content .
Means a lot man!🙏🏾
Much respect to you man, not a lot of us out there that tackle jobs like this on our own. Build looks great, never stop man.

Banks Super Guage is a great setup, not as cheap as basic gauges but does almost any reading.
Finally a video where you actually learn something!!!
Yoooo. I'm literally doing the same in my garage at home. Same car same kit same state.

Did you guys have to weld in another 02 bung for the wideband? Or did you just run it by the last exhaust piece with the 2 ports they come with?
I personally welded my own 8 inches after the turbo

Do you recommend the velocity kinetix manifold for a 350z?
you think it would work for a sorta stock g I got a cold air intake n the engine can hold 400whp on stock internals
Once you boost it you no longer need a Cold air intake
Hello bro !
the factory maf sensor does not work well, which maf did you use?
I’m using the HPX Maf, giving me no issues.
I know it’s the Rev 9 kit but where did you buy it from? Rev 9 website or eBay? Or local?
Where do you get that T fitting @ 26:59? Does it have a part number or size?

I’ve got on 03 and they were still able to send you a base map? Says on the website they can’t tune 03 Z’s/Gs
Visit harbor freights and get some cheap power tools or an impact and compressor. Good for beginners and everyday use
Let’s go!!!!
That little orange seal on the fuel pump connector was not supposed to come off lol

Not sure if you'll get to this comment but what did you use to widen the hole in the exhaust pipe?
I cut out a square on the other side of the pipe and the that gave me space to drill the hole on the other side than I welded the square back
Will this fit 2004 350z automatic thinking of getting one
how much did the whole process cost you?
So only way to do it . Is with the oem headers ?
Cool video now come and do mine🤣🤣🤣 imma drive my car all the way over that way .
👀👀🤣 say less only if I get to drive it after and no promises if I beat on it and it blows🤣
Update a year later? Debating this. At $1850 it's a steal compared to the $4500-5000 of the turbonetics if it lasts.
hey i was gonna buy this kit for my g35 is it safe to use paypal on there website there’s no other option so i just wanna be careful
Did it come with the oil pressure and boost gauges?
That was bought separately
I got a low rev g so it’s the “vq35 skyline”
Nice
what did you use to keep the fuel pump from popping out
So I can do everything mechanically but know absolutely nothing about tuning, can any tuner send me any base map and I can start my car and drive it or do I still have to bring it to them? (Ik this is old but worth a shot)
It’s easier getting a base map and making sure everything runs good then u take it to the dyno
Rzg is a good tunner
Boosting my shit soon too I’m in Jersey

Great video but i prefer to pay to an expert for installation and i wanna keep double exhaust pipes
how has this kit held up? Is it worth it or should i save for something nicer
