Welcome to a new vlog as we invite you to join us in Hampshire, UK for a full day of exploration in the beautiful coastal city of Southampton where the Titanic left from on its fateful journey. As well as some of the many Titanic related sights we also explore more of the old town as well as the more modern city centre and cruise terminal before a quick stop by the football stadium.
Come and join us in a new daily vlog as we explore Southampton!

    ⭐More about us!⭐
We're Josh & Jason, a British couple living in Faversham, Kent and we are daily vloggers here on TH-cam.
We met in 2019 and wasted no time travelling the world together, exploring our own back yard and making every day an adventure. That was until a global pandemic forced us in to lockdown and to find new ways to entertain ourselves at home.
Now we are able to head back out again we are making the most of exploring our home county of Kent and spending days out at the UK theme parks and zoos. Whatever we get up to and whatever the weather we bring you along for the journey through our daily vlogs.
Prior to meeting we were both TH-camrs with our own vlog channels and we naturally wanted to set up a joint TH-cam channel so JJ Extra was born! What started out as a bit of fun quickly evolved in to a daily vlog channel capturing every moment in our life and little did we know the twists and turns that lay ahead.
We are also extremely proud of the community we have built around our TH-cam blog and we invite you to join us over on our social media channels:

I loved that vlog, one of the many places I wanted to see but never got there. The Titanic memorials were great. My husbands grandparents were suppose to be on the Titanic but it was over booked. They left Leeds and arrived in Southampton and sailed to Canada on April 20th. 1912. That sandwich that Jane had for breakfast looked really good, except for the hash brown, that I would have given to my husband! I love parks so enjoy your walks through them. Stay safe ❤️😘

Southhampton looked nice - reminded me a lot of Portsmouth - which I guess makes sense since it's not far from there (yes I had to look up where it was on a map :-)). I love how everywhere is just full of history. That mural was gorgeous. Love those ice creams looked incredible.

We like it. Such a walkable city with lots to see and lots going on and the great thing is you don’t even have to spend much money!

I went to uni in Southampton and never saw the titanic memorials! I'll have to look out for them next time I'm down!

well you managed to make it look pretty nice :) you missed a lot of the old town though, tudor house, the church, the ruined church near the job centre, the old pub from titanic era etc.

Always love the vlogs and historical information. Will have to buy poor Jane a bib for next time. Everyone will need new shoes by the time Jason is done walking you all around. HaHa. Oh, the ice creams looked yummy and for only 4 pounds each. As Josh is fond of saying. "its a BARGAIN". Be Safe and Be Well

Great vlog as always. When you were talking about going to St Mary's stadium was that a rat that run across the path behind you?

Is there more than one football stadium in england? Lovely scenery also thoes sandwiches look amazing I love avacodo on my bacon sandwiches. I bet you guys had alot of fun seeing all thoes things. Are thoes brick older buildings all over the south part of England? Also when you said mayflower I was thinking to ship. Ha And what was the building diagonal. Of jason when you were in parking of the big ship?

It's probably worth mentioning that although the Mayflower did set sail from Southampton, it did stop off in Plymouth before heading to North America. Many of the pilgrims who made the journey were also from Boston in Lincolnshire originally, and they stopped off in the Netherlands for a bit before coming back to England to set sail again to America.

It's not ideal where that berth is but if you really want to see it, catch the uni-link bus to the National Oceanography Centre (as it gets you past that booth at dock gate 4 without showing a pass) and head to the cafe, you can see it out the window. The National Oceanography Centre is a pretty interesting place to visit itself although do watch the times as I guess most non-students are technically not supposed to be there and at a certain time, it's card access only.

Its really surreal but nice seeing Southampton through other peoples eyes as someone who has lived here her entire life 😅😂😂

We agree, always surreal seeing familiar places through the eyes of another. We need to get back to Southampton and make an updated video though. Any suggestions?

I would NEVER make it over that bridge. I am very much scared of heights. I am a New Orleans Saints fan. U.S. football.

Not much of a connection between the two teams but the fans in Southampton also sing 'When the Saints go Marching In' in the stands. It's the song you'll hear most often at a Southampton FC game.
