- The threat of Hurricane Milton has caused some Florida neighborhoods to become ghost towns. Satellite images showing the size of Milton has many fearing it will be "the storm of the century." Many fleeing Florida at the last minute came in for major sticker-shock. A one-way ticket out of Tampa to St. Louis cost more than $2,000. Social media is now flooded with complaints about airline and hotel price gouging. Inside Edition's Steven Fabian has more.

Weird how you guys don't have a law for that. In canada we made that law long time ago when people were refusing to give people aid unless they emptied their pockets and got alot of people killed

The government doesn't set the prices for airlines. It's called "free market". And it's one of the many things that makes the country prosperous vs a country like North Korea that is 100% government controlled. Take your beef up with the airline's. You could complain that the military isn't flying people out on military aircraft. I'm actually surprised they aren't!
@@sergplayz2143 Actually price gouging is illegal in 37 states..... including Florida. But any actions against the airlines won't be immediately. There's a legal process...but unfortunately that won't help people now. But don't be surprised if you see a class action suit or state investigation after the fact

Thanks.. I’m on the East coast of Florida. I’m praying for everyone of my fellow Floridians. It really makes me Angry though whilst thinking once again US🇺🇸citizens have to pay 1-2K a ticket to ✈️somewhere safe.. whilst actual illegals got free tickets, getting free homes, apartments, etc.. LA has many hills, and mountains within 2h drive. It's probably much easier to leave LA than most flat cities in Florida.

Unless it’s concrete that’s reinforced because wood and brick houses might not fare well against winds that extreme.

I live in Tampa too and most people were evacuating a going up North. With potential 10-15 inch of water they need to evacuate to a shelter ASAP

Wow so between Helene and Milton there were 5 other hurricanes???? 😮 that’s crazy!
There were 4 other hurricanes. Isaac, Joyce, Kirk, and Leslie. Kirk curved way out east and impacted Europe but other than that the other three stayed out in the open ocean and were short lived which is why nobody really mentioned them at all.
We Floridians know the drill get prepared stay calm evacuate if you have to if non evacuation zone stay put stay inside and ride it out pray for all my fellow Floridians BE STRONG WE GOT THIS AGAIN namaste 🙏 💪 ❤️ 💙

I’m in Fort Myers right now. The local Waffle House is staying open through the Hurricane. A lot in Tampa closed so that’s how you know it’s gonna be bad up there. The Waffle House index remains true! You’d be surprised how well business is doing right now for the local one 😂

The fact that the officer said right permanent Ink 🖋️ on your arm as your identification tag, which basically means if you decide to stay, you will die either from the hurricane or from drowning or starvation aftermath. Scary to think about.
