This is how I would look at this from a juror’s perspective. The purpose of any demand letter is to get paid. It’s a reason why this is a civil case versus a criminal case. Civil cases deal with liability and damages(in the form of payment). Second, this Jane Doe has admitted to inconsistencies in her case. Moreover, the people she’s relying on as witnesses aren’t alive and in the case of her dad, he doesn’t recall this occurring and is basically calling his daughter a liar. Next, Mr. buzbee was asked about these inconsistencies and he stated the client was vetted by another law firm and not him. When you take on a case, whether it’s referred to you or not, you’re suppose to vet that claim before signing. Mr. Buzbee dropped the ball. As a result, I think defamation is on the table, however, I do believe more needs to take place because a victim’s memory can be questionable under law after some time, especially if they were drugged. If Jane Doe’s claim begins to crumble, Jay Z would have a strong case because Mr. Buzbee didn’t vet the claims himself and signed as the lead counsel.

@ well if you have disabled clients you know there are going to be some inconsistencies. For instance people in nursing homes have experienced SA. Many of them cannot give fully coherent statements but still can maybe tell who attacked them. Also, I personally know of a situation when I was a child there was a situation I heard where 3 teenager boys took advantage of a girl with some mental issues in a basement of a 4 family flat.No adults were told and it was never reported. I saw her years later she seemed to be doing well but incidents happen that don’t get reported.

In Tort Law when a person suffers injuries yes you use a negotiation letter, but when it comes to serious matter such as rape, that is a no no. That is a criminal case that only the law can solve. Mistakes Buzzbee made 1) Filling the case before the court without mentioning all the parties involved, 2) Seeking negotiation in a rape case from one of the parties, while the other accused sit in jail. 3) Amending, the filing action to include the accuser after negotiations was denied. 4) Not bring an action against the third person (female ) in the room.

So to be fair I think including Shawn Carter in your question towards the commentator would be ideal in nature due to an official court proceeding that hasn’t even commenced as of yet. So to be fair, it’s safe that we would have to watch this play out in the court because most of us don’t know what has transpired. In Jay z's case, the demand letter/is definitely drafted as part of a process that's intended to lead to a legal settlement. Thank God, Judge Torres is not blinded by fame and status of an individual. From research, it is said a demand letter are standard procedures. Didn't Cassie lawyer did the same with Diddy. This is how I would look at this from a juror’s perspective. The purpose of any demand letter is to get paid. It’s a reason why this is a civil case versus a criminal case. Civil cases deal with liability and damages(in the form of payment).
Second, this Jane Doe has admitted to inconsistencies in her case. Moreover, the people she’s relying on as witnesses aren’t alive and in the case of her dad, he doesn’t recall this occurring and is basically calling his daughter a liar.
Next, Mr. buzbee was asked about these inconsistencies and he stated the client was vetted by another law firm and not him. When you take on a case, whether it’s referred to you or not, you’re suppose to vet that claim before signing. Mr. Buzbee dropped the ball.
As a result, I think defamation is on the table, however, I do believe more needs to take place because a victim’s memory can be questionable under law after some time, especially if they were drugged.
If Jane Doe’s claim begins to crumble, Jay Z would have a strong case because Mr. Buzbee didn’t vet the claims himself and signed as the lead counsel.

@ well if you have disabled clients you know there are going to be some inconsistencies. For instance people in nursing homes have experienced SA. Many of them cannot give fully coherent statements but still can maybe tell who attacked them. Also, I personally know of a situation when I was a child there was a situation I heard where 3 teenager boys took advantage of a girl with some mental issues in a basement of a 4 family flat.No adults were told and it was never reported. I saw her years later she seemed to be doing well but incidents happen that don’t get reported.

In Tort Law when a person suffers injuries yes you use a negotiation letter, but when it comes to serious matter such as rape, that is a no no. That is a criminal case that only the law can solve. Mistakes Buzzbee made 1) Filling the case before the court without mentioning all the parties involved, 2) Seeking negotiation in a rape case from one of the parties, while the other accused sit in jail. 3) Amending, the filing action to include the accuser after negotiations was denied. 4) Not bring an action against the third person (female ) in the room.

Kelly etc., conflated with the fact Jay Z allegedly impregnated a minor makes for bad news. Though accusatory, I don’t think what the person is saying should be interpreted as absolute per se. But perhaps it’s their way of interjecting deductive reasoning by correlating hyperbole in tandem with pragmatic banter(though speculative) based upon predetermined information that’s already been insinuated, and perhaps blatantly obvious, readily available in public archives.
But to your point at this moment since nothing has been confirmed or denied in the court of law, it’s all just speculation until substantial evidence is presented from whomever plaintiff or defendant in the court of law that will ultimately absolve either party of this case, respectfully.
In the defense of the person’s commentary, I would imagine this is a way of playing devils advocate with Jay Z due to Jay’s antics. And how Jay and his lawyer antics are superseding a trial and a hearing that hasn’t even happened as of yet. Jay Z, though not at fault in my unbiased assessment of using these means of public persuasion, is protecting his brand and reputation. Yet regardless of evidence not being present, his Modus operandi has openly welcomed public discourse of equal proportions placing him under intense scrutiny. The judge however has publicly denounced Jay Z’s stunts and rendered them as distasteful. It goes without saying that there are certain power dynamics at play that has tipped the balance in Jay Z’s favor, publicly. And the judge is aware of this. So to be fair I think including Shawn Carter in your question towards the commentator would be ideal in nature due to an official court proceeding that hasn’t even commenced as of yet.
So to be fair, it’s safe that we would have to watch this play out in the court because most of us don’t know what has transpired. With that being said the person isn’t at fault for their questioning in regards to how they feel when so much has and is being revealed and exposed. Thanks.

A demand letter is almost synonymous with any civil case because it saves the court time and money if it can be worked out before going into litigation. When Diddy's ex-girlfriend's settlement of a lawsuit was publicized, soon after, the 38yr old accuser's attorney went public and announced, "Anyone that was assaulted by Diddy, call'... a toll free number was also given. Of all the calls, each caller were requested to have a believable story that fit the narrative that was already out there abt Diddy. In Jay z's case, the demand letter/is definitely drafted as part of a process that's intended to lead to a legal settlement. So many spectators and onlookers are interesting in knowing, why would this attorney attempt to evade the responsibility of filing a frivolous mediation letter, when the accuser stated in her NBC interview, she "never wanted any money."

Thank God, Judge Torres is not blinded by fame and status of an individual. From research, it is said a demand letter are standard procedures. Didn't Cassie lawyer did the same with Diddy. It is not far-fetched to believe Jay Z didn't do such in the 2000's. Back in the days, a lot of unethical behaviour went unchecked. My opinion, I believed he did it. I believe it happened in 2003. The accusers story is in line with 2003 VMA's. Also, isn't there certain things implemented for when the incident happens years ago, you don't have to be be accurate with the exact dates.

Jay Z uses intimidating techniques that is why he went for Buzby, Spiro called "his bluff" , if it was so. Buzby has to be very convinced by actual proof to act like that. The victim could have a brain injury, abuse at 13 can and does stop normal development. There is lot of victims of sexual abuse who are dependent on hard drugs, who couldnt remember accurate details but remember the gist of it.
