My theory used to be that LeopardClan, TigerClan and LionClan, were real, but existed as their own StarClan of sorts. I’d always assumed that they were the ones giving StarClan prophecies to send to living cats, maybe even the ones who created StarClan in the first place, the ones with the power to cover the full moon and the creators of the warrior code. I thought would explain why the was the reason that the Warrior code was so important to the StarClan and the living clans, because it came from especially their God like the 10 commandments. Obviously, this theory only works if you only read the series up to a certain point and don’t read special editions where they explain that clan cats made the code, not some powerful god-like wild cats and disprove other parts of this theory but it was one which I believed for awhile. The only theory that makes sense now is blood memory, which basically means they remember them because they share some of their traits or something like that. If the books didn’t introduce the concept of StarClan warriors fading when they’re forgotten about, then it could also have been explained by the idea that there could be some cats in StarClan who were ancient enough to know these great cats. The whole thing doesn’t really make sense and it also seems like these great clans/wild cat clans stopped getting brought up in the later arcs, which makes the whole mythology even more weird and confusing.
I’m reading The Sun Trail currently, and we first hear about the beginning of the Clans in the Power of Three. I’m thinking maybe the founders decided to make this story up. Because the concept of a Clan was unknown to them when things first started out before they became a tribe in the mountains, and then sending cats to find a new home. Just a theory, but the video was great nonetheless. Feel like this topic isn’t spoken about enough. :)
My understanding that the three clans ancient are a myth, like a little legend to celebrate the pride of the clans and stuff. Graypay being scolded by Bluestar that he forgot clans history is taken less literally, not in a " How could you forget our real history! " and more of a " How could you forget one of our biggest myths and legends that is so important to our culture! " Idk where the names would have come from but I just assumed they made it up? Like the cats are able to learn the word kite n stuff so I just kinda fantasy magic logic that problem But that's just my game theory
asssuming warriors does take place in southern england, that implies the myths date back a long time ago. And likely originated not in the clans, but elsewhere in the world. Implying there's other clan like locations that may have come from elsewhere, a place not in southern england. That or the cats before them found a zoo containing the animals in question.
This makes me imagine a whole little spin-off with the original clans and maybe a few extras for the rest of the clans, like cheetahs for wind clan and caracals or smth for sky clan
Maybe the ancients when they settled they had to fight of a mountain lion clan that was living down there because the mountains are close to the lake territory and maybe the clans describe the mountain lions making them think they were giants related to them
I believe it was Lionheart who reminded him, not Bluestar Anyway, so we know from Lion's Roar that the ancients knew that Lions existed. The Trible also mentions lions in Moonrise So clearly, the Anicents knew about them. Also, Sol's mom, Cinders, talks about lions and tigers when describing the "Sky cats" We also know that a variety of other animals not seen seem to be known by the Clans. Like There's a kit named Lynxkit, and Wolfstep is a guy. Granted, I think wolves are mentioned in TNP, but either way, wolves are never actually seen. What I think happened is that there used to be a zoo in the part of England that the series takes place. One that closed down later, but when it existed, kittypets and rogues near it saw those animals, observed their actions, and passed on those tales, and over many years and generations, it spread wide enough to be known in many places. Also, perhaps a kittypet with a Twoleg who immigrated from Asia and saw tigers would give details on how they hunted idk
Well cats originally came from lion tigers and leopards right? And theyre mostly related to tigers, so i guess the warriors cats know that, also youre videos are great
@@Shadowfate93 but cats are 95% related to tigers, also i thought house cats came from different wild cats, when people breed them to make a smaller and less dangerous one
My theory is that the tribe's ancestors settled near a circus or a zoo with tigers and lions and leopards at one point
i like to think it was one of the early clan cats who was taken by a twoleg and they somehow went to a zoo and came back and told a story about it
Ooh, that's an interesting theory!

Easy. Skystar took Thunderstar to the zoo for his birthday.
Also, I like your new sprite.

Hmm, that is an interesting theory!
This is what bothers me, why have the Ancient Clans mention but not even expand on it further?! It's just a waste of writing material tbh
Yeah but how do they know about lions, tigers, and leopards?
I understand lions from seeing mountain lions on journeys- but tigers and leopards 💀
Maybe they met kitty pets named Tiger or Leopard?? Idk 😭😭
I thought ThunderClan was meant to be named after the thunder path? That’s what I always assumed.
It could be, but all of the other clans' territories are next to the Thunderpath as well, so I'm not quite sure
He was named after Thunderstar see in dawn of the clans
Leopards can climb sooo Skyclan
I'd really enjoy a series about the ancient clans, could be very interesting.
Agreed, I'd definitely read that!
All can imagine is some kitty pet watching tv

I wish your videos were longer! I love them:)

To clear things up, im pretty sure thunderclan was na,ed because of the thunderpath in the forest
1:46 Umm... im not guilty of reading the books multiple times *gulp* definetaly not
To add to my last comment, I actually was inspired to make my own video on this topic, so, thanks for making me interested in this.

They may be telling stories about the first battle.
these Clans were always confusing to me. Like, didn't it start out as cats?
what app do you use to make ur vids and congrats on 1k subs
i use kdenlive to edit and audacity to record audio, although i'm pretty sure they're both only available for PC
ok thank you
Well cats originally came from lion tigers and leopards right? And theyre mostly related to tigers, so i guess the warriors cats know that, also youre videos are great
Actually no. House cats are small cats.
Lions, tigers, and leopards are big cats.
Other small cats are animals like servals and ocelots
@@Shadowfate93 but cats are 95% related to tigers, also i thought house cats came from different wild cats, when people breed them to make a smaller and less dangerous one
You should make youtube shorts
Yeah, I've actually had a few ideas for some, just haven't quite gotten around to it yet
