- Why are people in Chiang Mai, North Thailand in 2023? What is so special about this city? We're street interviews with random foreign tourists to get a better understanding of how things are in South East Asia and especially in Chiang Mai in this episode. "Why O Why Chiang Mai?"
We filmed this video in the old city centre of Chiang Mai; goo.gl/maps/VpmPiM7Vgxkc4UHG9

You've come a long way since I first saw this awkward young man trying to do street interviews. Well, look at you now, Chai. So smooth and comfortable with random travellers. Practice makes perfect, and you're getting there. Salute
That’s some motivation speech there Lars 😁 you’ve been there from pretty much the start of my TH-cam journey and I’m happy to hear you say this 💪 I salute you back 🫡🏆
Quality as always champ. Some great interviews inclusive of interesting experiences. On to KL and so many of your existing Malaysian subbies will be so happy for that. I'm strapped in ready to go and enjoy the experience . Let's go, let's go, let's go ✈ 🤩
Much appreciated! Haha I've just finished my first one. You'll notice the different editing. I wonder what you think of it, Stay tuned :)
Happy people
Nice work again
All roads lead to Chiang Mai 😃👍👌👋🙏
Haha I like it! It's always a pleasure and you know it :)
The why o why's are the best. Keep up the wonderful work champ!
Haha nice one Japjot! Nice profile picture btw
Super video! Чудове відео)🌼
Thanks mate! Дякую :D
Absolutely amazing tourist selfies here!
Also so nice that you focus on tourists visiting.
Town itself is kind of boring, not much to show, warm, bad air sometimes.
Therfeore such a nice idea focusing on yourself instead.
Keep up the good touristy work here!
Haha you with your selfie ;P I really like this city but it's just a personal opinion. I understand if it feels a bit boring for some people. Months; February/March are better be avoid due the bad air quality indeed. It's good to mention this too :)
@@Chai_Travel an experience anywhere can heavily depend on when you travelled, what you did, where you stayed etc.
Welcome to Chiang Mai 🤗😊🙏🎉🎊🇹🇭
Thanks 🙏❤️
Thumbs up 👍 Champ
Thanks 👍 Have a good day matey
What endeared me to Chiang Mal is it a cross section of everything and hasn't lost it authentic local feel. From the university district, local areas, markets, old historic town, the river, and a gateway to explore further north. It is super walkable, friendly and safe. Honestly the beach locations are beautiful but most have lost their authenticity and they are like going to any other resort areas in the world, with bars, and plastic beach toy stores etc.,
Haha! Yes mate! such a nice some up. I should bump into you one day! ;)
@@Chai_Travel back in 🇨🇦 now, off to see other parts of this big wide world
Perfect mate :) enjoy 🤩
How you know when you put Thai lang in your caption for your video ?
I’m using a translation app after I do the English Subtitles. Do you enjoy them?
How come u didnt asked abt anything they didnt like or bad experiences abt thailand???😂
I did. And I’ve made several episodes were I ask a lot about the downsides of visiting Thailand. Hazards etc
Why would you ask a teenager who had been carted off to the hospital after splitting his face open while blind drunk if he had any "wisdom" to pass on? His answer: Don't drink and do stairs??? Seriously dude time to rethink the line of questioning.
Standard final question for the majority of interviews. I thought it was rather humorous myself as did the young fella. Maybe I'm easily entertained and that is why I keep coming back for more!!
Hello Mr Morgan, like Steven already explained; It's a standard question I like to ask everyone I interview. I personally find it very interesting what people's answers are. Although I find older people's answers often more interesting, I do think any adult, young or old, carry some wisdom with them. I hope this video didn't insult you in any way.
I agree. What a waste of time!
DIDN'T LIKE CHIANG MAI AT ALL...SEVERAL PEOPLE TRIED TO RIP ME OFF IN ONE HOUR....BYE BYE. THE SOUTH IS MUCH BETTER.
I'm sorry to hear about your experiences in the north of Thailand. I still think you most likely to get "ripped off" in the south then in the north. Hopefully it won’t happen to you any more.
