Thanks, I had this sitting on the shelf of shame for years and went to play it and the rules for the magic track seemed a little wonky and you cleared that up. Happy gaming.
I am loving your series Jason. I have many of the Tiny Epic games but not a lot of people to play with, so really appreciate the solo play through

Bro, you saved me from pulling my hair further. I completely missed the "continue adventuring" to reroll. I thought it meant to continue around the table until nobody else had chosen to adventure. It wasn't until I watched you roll again that I went "What are you doing, Jason?" Reread the rules and "OOOOOH! So, that's why I didn't like the game before." Thank you, brother! I think I'll be able to properly enjoy it now.

i liked this one but, for me, it lacked something solo despite it’s elegant puzzle. i highly recommend trying mark outten’s automa (available on bgg). it makes a good solo game an excellent and challenging endeavor.
When you return your guys after the night phase you don’t get both power and health. Its one or the other. Bottom of page 16 in the rule book. Also you didn’t cheat in the beginning. The movement you did by foot was legal.
Hi Jason, loving the play throughs! I see the wording on the sword’s ability as a passive effect. As you spend energy elsewhere, you gain the hits on a goblin.
The rulebook says that I had to spend it directly, it isn’t an extra benefit.
It's an interesting effeciency puzzle that has pretty good flow once you get a handle on the rules.

Thanks for the solo playthrough Jason. How did you achieve such a great score ? Lucky dice rolling, good decisions, but also cheating ! When you go back to your castle you gain 1 health OR 1 energy per meeple, not both ! 😅
Ive been wanting to grab a Tiny Epic game for a while now, but not sure which one to get. Since i play a lot solo, maybe itll be this one…? (Also, my buddy LOOOVES the Zelda franchise). How do you think Vikings will compare to this?
I think this is the best pure solo puzzle of them all. Not everyone vibes with the geometric nature of the puzzle, but I love it.
Vikings is more classic Euro mechanisms. It wasn’t my favorite, but that’s my taste. My favorites for solo are Defenders (with Dark War), Quest, and Pirates.
@@OneStopCoopShop So I finally took the plunge and bought TEQ. The instructions were a little lacking and left some things to be desired. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I had no idea how many times you could roll the dice, specifically during the solo adventure. Additionally, moving up the magic track and which spells you could learn when (1-10) made absolutely no sense to me. Thanks for this video. I think with another rereading of the rules (for the third time) maybe I'll be able to figure this one out...hopefully.
When you rest are you sure it is 1 health AND one energie ? On the board the word is OR. Thanks to let me know !
It is an OR, although it counts for each little meeple. So, a player could mix and get back 2 energy and 1 life when the rested. I think that's what I did... If I did not then my apologies!
