I know the 21” front wheel is typical for a scrambler, but I’d prefer the look of a 17 rim with. Chuckier tyre to match the rear wheel anyone know if that possible to do?
Would be interesting to see a head to head between the new 400x and the 1200x in the dirt. The 400x is way down on power compaired to the 1200x with only about 40HP but you don't need as much power in the dirt, the 400x is also alot lighter and more nimble. Both bikes aren't serious dirt machines but it would be very intresting I think the 400x would do suprising well against the 1200x in the dirt.
I was a scrambler 1200 xe owner, everything's good but it's disappointing that the high-exhaust pipe causes leg discomfort when stopping or standing(although it looks great). I was hoping there would be some changes in this update... but it's a good bike anyway. What I'm looking for can probably be found in BMW's R12 Ninet Scrambler(?).
90% of the owners of all 3 versions will not take this bike off road, so it doesn't need one. The few that will can buy aftermarket. That's what I would do. Cheaper bike, more sales, nothing you don't need to get those sales
Hi, thanks for the first impressions video on the Triumph 1200 new X Scrambler model. I’ve ridden the XC model, which I think is relatively the equivalent to this one on the Triumph’s Bonneville range, and at the Time I already thought very well about the bike. I think, comparing to the predecessor model, this one is maybe a little bit shorter or almost of the same height, but correct me if I’m wrong, it has already lean sensitive abs along with the regular abs and TC. There aren’t a bunch of options in terms of colors. This light Matt gray color is very compatible with the bike’s style but I wish they would gave us some more color options. I don’t feel so happy with that bold paint of the gas tank with the logo and the brand name in such evidence, but I accept, it is a scrambler , after all. I had a T 120 for a whole year and I know well how “smooth” is the word to describe this Bonneville bikes. I also got very enthusiastic about the stealth new painting scheme of the 2024 line up of the Triumph Bonneville range, but I have to confess man, I’m in a slightly different setting in what to bikes is concerned . In the present I own a BMW R Nine T Scrambler and the 1170 cc boxer engine with 110 Hp along with other nice features, like drive shaft transmission is spot on. It’s also a very reliable bike, everything feels very solid and durable and the bike has a great deal of retro modern soul which is something that I appreciate in this bikes and that’s why I love this Bonneville line of Triumph. The sound of the video, was not the best that I listen to but it’s very decent👌🏻 On the other hand, I can understand that comfort is an important aspect when you think of a bike to do long mileage or to keep it for every duty and usage but other than that it shouldn’t count a lot because at least for me, riding a bike is the seeking of other type of feeling . And a certain amount of exposure to the natural elements is expected and desired. For me, feeling the wind makes part of the experience . When it’s too much, yes it can be a counter factor to the pleasure of riding, but in a proper sense, some amount of wind presence is part of the bike’s riding experience and among other specific factors that are inherent to the outdoors activity it’s intrinsically related with it’s pleasure, in my personal view. If from an ideal point o view was doable to have one more bike, this Triumph Scrambler X would fit perfect into any bike’s collection , for sure! ✌️✌️
Why do we need 5 riding modes? Well we don't, it's just a sales gimmick/fashion/trend, pick one.👎 A great looking bike BUT oh dear, that horrible digital TFT screen dashboard/clock thingy, totally out of place.👎 This is a retro, bring back analogue FFS!👍😂 If ABS is cutting in on dry roads like that it's WAY too sensitive.
Love triumphs, but it’s overpriced for what you get. But that’s okay, I’m sure my choices would critiqued the same. To each their own. Cheers to those that get one. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Is this a beginner motorcycle?
No. Laws don’t permit it, however, in the States… anything goes.
I prefer two riding modes: on and off. Worked fine the last 30 years….
I hear you.@@johannesmarg6903
Yes, definitely, like all 1200's are.
@@nikos-giorgos 😂
I just bought this bike. I don't think I'll ever sell it. Such a perfect bike.
always enjoy your practical motorcycle review. 1200CC and 5 riding modes, the bike is definitely not a beginner bike
Agreed!
I got the XC as my beginner bike. Take the BRC, and I think you should be good, especially on this smaller, road focused bike.
Wind noise is perfect even with audio.
I love it! Aluminium 😉Remember, it’s an English motorcycle 🤙
Oh yeah!
But made in Vietnam or similar?
I have no idea nor does it matter to me.@@davypross
Nearly lost me there too. Its a good tho'
@@davyprossMade in Thailand, but honestly who cares!, any vehicle you buy from any manufacturer will be loaded with parts from all around the globe.
Last years had brembo brakes and good adjustable front forks!
Great video, I'm gonna get me a 1200cc scrambler.
Go for it!
Audio is perfect even with wind noise
Thank you for the feedback.
Whats the ground clearance
As an owner of the 23 XC, I find this bike offensive.
Should have just extended the street scrambler line for the 400, 900, and 1200.
Nice one Rembo
Appreciated
Why is the brake reservoir way out there in front? One tipster and it's gone
Looks like you may be right.

They're better be sponsoring me if I'm riding with Triumph tank badge that can be seen from space !
Scusa Sinna per il mio precedente commento" non adeguato". Complimenti per il tuo ottimo lavoro che fai sempre con il cuore e con la testa.
Grazie per il complimento e grazie per aver commentato
great review good job sir i am thinking this might be a great second bike
It is!
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
is the heat off the pipe unbearable or just annoying ?
It can be both if you are in traffic.

Thanks for the info. I am curious as to why this was never addressed in design.
Decat helps
Why don't they put on a decent front mudguard ?

I have a newer fat bob kinda want to trade. But i love my bike. I had a 900 before. Loved it. Just dont out your right foot down. No need really lol
Audio is good - a lot of wind noise but can still understand what you are saying
Thank you
I purchased the '23 XE model before the downgraded '24 models came out 😎
That’s Rambo bike

Yes. XC is shorter than XE. X is shorter than XC.
Great information Fernando. Thank you for sharing it with us.
A cool bike! But for the real adventure use the XE 😊
True!
Even 3 riding modes would be excessive imo 😂
I would be fine with two but three can be convenient.
Scrambler 400x would 2x its sales if it borrowed the instrument cluster from its elder sibling 1200x
Interesting thought. Is that cluster that important?
USMC great, I'm Reagans war on drugs in the 80's.
Not adjustable Suspension is an absolute No Go for me .For that price,it’s a joke..

I agree. Anything more than 3 riding modes is just nonsense.

Fair enough!
Triumph overpriced? I'm laughing in Harley!
Great video, I'm gonna get me a 1200cc scrambler.
Good choice!
