- This is the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon-it is an off-road legend in many minds. For some, a Jeep is the gateway vehicle to seeking epic adventures. There are a few Jeep traditions that most folks DON’T Know. And, today I want to find out first hand what it’s all about. While we’re out here, I also want to experience the extreme limits of the Rubicon’s true boundaries at “Lake of the Ozark Off-Road Park - The Loop!” So strap in and buckle up!

Well guys, I bought a Gladiator Rubicon and have begun setting it up for overland camping. Here’s the first part of the build:
th-cam.com/video/v0XFma_lSMU/w-d-xo.html
Well done! I didn’t know this culture existed for the first 41 years of my life, until a buddy bought a Gladiator and I fell in love with it. Bought mine two weeks later and we’ve been having sick adventures ever since!
I’m in the same boat. I’ve been overland camping in my minivan for several years and am surprised at the sense of community in the Jeep culture. So, I’m sold on it.
That high center could’ve been avoided by a better approach. Not trying to be a jerk or know it all, but straight on is the hardest way to hit a hard break over obstacle.
Jeep: Bought at a dealership.
Knoeledge: Can’t be bought. This dude with the Gladiator went to TH-cam University school of Off-roading. 🤣
Great content, thank you for posting.
6:54 sweet looking jeep
Hats off to the Wrangler. No lift and crappy AT's. And did more than respectable.
First time seeing your channel. Great walk-around😊 and looking forward to following your adventures
Yo! Jeremy and Zack! Cool Jeeps!
Yo!
Looks like a awesome adventure
Excellent.. I enjoyed this video🙂.. Sweet looking Rubicon Jeep.. I never thought of it..But we have a Jeep Regade we get Ducked once in a while.. we save them..
Happy New Year 🎊
Thanks for stopping by! Interesting to know that you have a Jeep, as we usually only see the bike content on your channel.
@@OffGridAdventure True.. it’s in some of my earlier Videos.. like road trip to FarmVille, VA 🚐🚴♂️😎 it’s also in my first video of Cross Florida Bike Ride.. January 2022..
Now I concentrate on bike rides & my Toyota Sienna XLE 🚐
13:13 looks like 👍 you are having a blast awesome
It was awesome. Just gotta add gas.
Love the color of that jeep
It’s gorgeous. We’re looking at getting an orange one.
Interesting jeep adventure
Lots of fun, and I learned a lot of interesting things out there.
That looks like a fun trail... always have a back up.👌👌
Jeep Life
Yo!
Love the Video. Can you tell me which front bumper you running on the Gladiator? TIA
The LOOP is a great place!! We went when it was newly opened. Great people run the park and we had an awesome time. Hopefully Jeremy and Zach get you set up with a Jeep of your own soon.
I picked up a close out 2023 Gladiator this week. My son and I had a lot of fun with them and plan to explore as much as we can in the next few months.
@@OffGridAdventure congratulations! Best thing we’ve ever bought. There’s plenty of trails in Missouri to explore like Glade Top and three badge trails at Smorr. The Moore expo is this spring in Springfield and worth visiting.
Did you try winching out without 5 wraps on the drum? Or what was your winch failure? Looks like a good park to play in.
The solenoid blew. It’s already fully repaired. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if the solenoid blows again out on the next trail.
You need at least a. 12k for a jt. And need to understand the rated max is on the first wrap. And understand what a wrap s. But that was obvious it was going to unload the suspension and even more so the second time. Gonna check out the other videos. I bet lots of stuff like this happens to them.
16:51 this was a awesome adventure
Crashed the drone, but it was worth it.
9:19 dang that looks challenging going down
Howdee Jeremy and Zack 👍
At one time, we had a jeep wagoner .. love it but son .got it stuck in the garden that was covered in a foot of snow and broke the gear lever off of the 4 wheel drive..but other than that being stuck..it ran forever
Wow. That must’ve been a wild story! Thanks for stopping in!
Do you guys have a Kinetic rope? I got a couple of Yankum ropes that sure come in a handy and a excellent product or Bubba rope
Looks like fun
A lot of fun! We’re looking at getting a gladiator.
what is that plastic part behind the fender vent, I like that
One of jeeps best kept secrets the ol' high center
Gets ya every time! :)🤣
Worse in Gladdys. Unlimited are a close second, I'm sure. The grey Jeep might have had a better chance of clearing that obstacle due to shorter wheel base, but maybe not since it didn't look like it had lockers.
My first car was a jeep and the high center was the first thing I learned. It was an 89 wrangler and I spent more time working on it than I did driving it. That being said, I loved every minute of it. Had to trade it when I got out of school and into real life. Needed something more reliable for work, but now that Im older and lifes a bit more comfortable, I may have to get another.
@@Mccaid you should. They're beautiful still with more creature comforts. I Uber with mine (2018 JL Safari Unlimited) and get a lot of comments on how nice it is and how quiet it is compared to older Jeeps.
Merry christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Jeep!
It was only stuck for a little while. One drone down, but a lot of fun!
In case nobody has clued you in, from what i heard (no actual evidence to back it, just hearsay) ducking started in Canada during the pandemic as a way to spread happiness since Jeepers couldnt meet up and socialize, like we like to do.
Hmm. I hadn’t heard that theory. It makes sense.
What looks better in person the orange or the blue?
I like them both. Although I prefer the orange for my style.
I don't need downhill assist. I have a standard transmission.
I dint see the jeep rubican as a gateway vehicle. I see things like a Rav4, honda element as gateway vehicles. Ppl who drive them usually upgrade to jeeps. Now for rhe jeep wave most wrangler owners wont wave at non wrangler jeeps..
No lockers?
No one abuses the Jeep Rubicon like you.
What ended up being the problem with the winch?
An extra solenoid burned up. It’s all fixed up now.
Not a Warn perhaps?
Essayons sapper
Weather in war, or in peace!
I think "off road legend" is a bit generous. lol
How many Badges do You have ?
His Jeep has quite a few. I’d need to count them to know for sure.
Someone left a blue duck on my jeep while I was in work today🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I hear that it happens occasionally. 😀
People don't buy Jeeps to save gas. It's a lifestyle that you need extreme acceptance and admit reality. Most people that owned Wranglers are super loyal to the brand regardless on what the negatives. Get something else if you're complaning too much. It's not a vehicle for you.
The cost of having fun. Well worth it!
Smiles per miles. Worth all the gas money in the world!!!!!
To be fair, my Diesel Gladiator gets better gas mileage than any vehicle ive owned lol
If you buy just about anything and you are worried about the gas price, you can't afford it. Not really.
@@off-roadingexplained8417 Yes Really
what kind of china winch was that ?
Not true, I’ve had two JL’s that didn’t have downhill assist.
We had a brand new jeep Wrangler back in 2014. I think we sold it in like 19 because of gas mileage is terrible.
I hear that gas mileage is just something to accept if you want to drive a Jeep.
Who buys a Jeep for the gas savings? Just a heads up don’t buy a 392 Runicon if your worried about gas mileage. 😝
We drive Jeeps (Wrangler) because they are cool and fun. It's a lifestyle that supersedes gas milage.
There are Wranglers that are better on gas; diesel Gladdys get 22 city and 28 highway. There's 4xe's if you prefer hybrids. Dunno what the milage is on those because frankly, I don't care.
@@bradhertzler4451 our old jeep wrangler only got around 17 miles to the gallon. It was pretty expensive to drive but it was fun.
Prius people are not adventurous. Not even in lower Michigan.
You shouldn't ever pull in reverse. Turn around and pull against the drive side of your ring gears.
Interesting. Is the gear ratio too tall in reverse?
@@OffGridAdventure The ratio isn't the problem. The transmission gearing is taller in reverse but the ring and pinion gears are the issue. They are spiral cut and are weaker on the coast side because of the way they mesh. They are designed to have the torque applied to the drive side.
