I have 16/ 6 I just removed old engine and sat my 212 swap on there and didn’t see a problem with room.I am drilling my engine mounts holes today and hopefully everything is all good.
Take a look at the clutch setup in my video. The clutch and spring are in the same location as from factory. Easiest set up to make with no welding or relocation of components. It duplicates the motor mounting holes of the Tecumseh.
I have a 66 Suburban 10 that's a real hack job from the PO. Needless to say, my clutch is beyond usable, and I don't have the battery tray. It's repowered with a OH160 from the mid 70s. Looks like the 2 pieces of flat stock option is best for me. Can you provide more detail on how you did the pivot on that? You said to use a bolt, but is there a bushing or something in there, and what did you use?

Ive found if you put the battery tray in backwards they clear a predator gas tank
Never thought of that, definitely going to try it sometime

Mounting the motor on the way u got it will allow u to get all the speed bc I was told It would be like having reverse in every gear mounted like that

The clutch is attached to the battery tray so no need to do this mod.

Pretty much, drilling new mounting holes would be the hardest part.
